Went to Denville Dairy on a Sunday afternoon and, though it was packed, our wait time to order wasn't more than 10 minutes. The place is somewhat big and it does have a section for seating, but there are also benches outside which is where most people end up eating their ice cream. We got the mint chocolate chip, which was really good - 8.5/10-, and the vanilla crunch, which was okay - there wasn't much "crunch" but rather just a lot of fudge-. Overall, a solid place if you're in the area!

One of the best ice cream shops in my many years of eating ice cream

What can I say? Finger licking, superb, laudable, meritorious...... I've had ice cream in many states and for many years. Some were too fatty for my tastes. Some were somewhat tasteless. The ice cream here, after 3 visits is exceptional. Among the best I have ever had.

Consistent for YEARS now. Service is fast, and they have more room outside to eat. Worth driving to from far away.

Cherry vanilla was outstanding!

My friend and I had dinner nearby and after strolling around the most charming downtown, headed into Denville Dairy. We quickly realized that the entire town loves their ice cream and after taking a number, settled in for a brief wait. That gave us time to decide on the perfect store made ice cream flavor. The woman that took our order was pleasant and efficient. The small size is a solid amount of ice cream flavor, they limit you to one flavor until you hit the medium size. That allowed me to truly taste the cherry vanilla on its own. Very high quality! My friend enjoyed the coffee Oreo flavor. Denville Dairy is the kind of ice cream spot that every town needs!

PROS: ice cream was good, strong variety, clean, staff was friendly CONS: no tables to sit at, just some stone bench OVERALL: as long as you're okay with the sitting arrangements, I recommend this place

Picked up the Oreo icecream today after lunch and Found it was amazing. It was creamy and yummy. The inside of this place look's pretty like any other icecream store and the serving was made fast. A must try in this area.

Loved the mint chocolate chip hard ice cream. We got a small with chocolate sprinkles. The line moved quick and there were plenty of people enjoying their ice cream inside and outside. The ice cream was super thick and creamy and had a nice kind flavor, plenty of chocolate chips and was not too sweet. It cost over $6 which I thought was a lot at first but the small was very big and shareable. I got full about halfway through and couldn't finish. I would love to try to move flavors

Had twins graduating from different high schools and they did an amazing job on the cake

Denville Dairy is a small-to-medium shop with a lot of energy and charm. They've got a full team keeping the line moving, even when it's busy. Tons of flavors to choose from--both hard and soft serve. I went with cherry vanilla and a salted caramel variation, and both were super creamy and delicious. Perfect treat for the beautiful Easter weekend weather!

We paid a visit to Denville Dairy for our guys night and it was incredible. The store is super clean, and looks like your classic ice cream shop. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating allowing us to sample flavors we thought we might like. The ice cream itself, was some of the best I've ever had. I got the snowball flavor which was a mix of coconut flavored ice cream with marshmallow and pieces of chocolate cake. This was one of the most flavorful and creamy cups of ice cream I've ever had. Top 5 ice cream experience of mine for sure. This place is 30 minutes from me but the ice cream is so good that it's worth the drive!

My fiance and I were taking a walk in town when we noticed a sidewalk sign outside of Sweet…read moreExpressions saying "Free Cheesecake Sample Upstairs". So as any normal human being would do at 10 am on a Sunday morning, you would at least check it out...right? So we did. All my fiance was saying was how cool the colors were and how everything was so bright and colorful on our way up the steep stairs. I guess you have to get a work out before you enter sweet heaven. Once we finally entered the medium sized bakery, it's not your typical bakery you are thinking of. After a little perusing it felt as though we were walking into someone's kitchen. We were greeted by the owner, Lisa, and chatted about her business which just started up. Their niche is biscotti, cookies and some cakes. She had us sample a few of her biscotti. They were awesome. So much so, that we ended up buying 2 of each (there were 8 varieties) for a family function. Some definite's: Lemon Bliss, Chocolate Hysteria (Dark Chocolate w/cayenne pepper -- strange combo but fantastic!), Almond Joyful and Sicilian Sunburn to name a few. Check out her site to find out more about what's in them. She even let us try her homemade pignoli cookie...chewy, soft and delicious! I would highly suggest giving this place a try. They do not have Italian pasties or bread so don't think it's a traditional bakery. Plus you can go downstairs to Sweet Expressions and gorge yourself into a chocolate coma. ENJOY!

Best Gluten-Free Bakery!…read more Ive been to tons of gluten free bakeries and Sweet Niche is by far the best! The crumb cake and brownies are to die for and everyone I give them to do not believe me when i tell them they are gluten free! My husband eats their non gluten free (even though he LOVES all the gf goodies!) stuff and can't say enough great things about this place! The biscotti is unique and everyone needs to try it! The owner is so nice and helpful and really enjoys what she does! She make you want to keep going back, but then you try her baked goods, and you must go back for more! Sweet-Niche is a gem and your really missing out if you haven't had it yet!

Attempt number two: Husband grabbed an assortment to try: crumb cake, m&m cookie, brownie, pretty standard stuff. He mentioned to me that the boy behind the counter mentioned that the cookies 'just came out.' WELL. Ugh. They did not, in fact, just come out, young sir. Stale, tasteless, fall apart- shellack like cookies. Crumb cake topping was oddly orange, and also stale and tasteless. The brownie I didn't even get to taste, and I couldn't get photos of anything either b/c hubs tossed it all in the trash after making a frownie-face over the not good brownie place. Anyways, I miss the old Vikingos. And luckily the French bakery in town is bomb (it replaced the gross ass (sorry, to their cult following) Mara's 'bakery.' End rant.

The place was empty right after they opened on a Saturday morning, so there was no wait. Everything came out hot and fairly quick. The two ladies working this morning were very nice. We brought the donuts home and they were still warm after a 10 minute drive. I tried the cinnamon sugar, vanilla glazed with coconut and Cinnabon. My husband got a Nutella, peanut butter chocolate and "Boston cream." The donuts were mostly disappointing unfortunately. They weren't bad, but nothing that would have me return next time I want a good donut. Two of my three donuts had an odd aftertaste which might have been fryer oil. The only one that was pretty good was the cinnamon sugar, somehow I wasn't getting a strange aftertaste with that one. My husband was pretty disappointed in their idea of a Boston cream. For one, this is not a filled donut, rather they put Bavarian cream in the center of a regular donut. Secondly, the donut was hot, which is not good for the integrity of the filling. The donuts were much smaller than we thought they would be, they were about the size of the palm of my hand. Not a lot for the cost. Also, their site mentions 3% discounts for cash payment, but in person the sign says 4%. The latte was pretty good, but otherwise I don't understand the hype. Likely won't be back, but glad we tried them.
