Checking in on Yelp offered a 15% off coupon which we used. We ordered the spicy Italian for $13.99. There was a good amount of meat and cheese on a thick slice of bread that was still soft. The hot peppers added some flavor but it wasn't spicy in my opinion. It was a filling sandwich, so I left half in the fridge for a few hours and I was surprised to find the olive oil and vinegar didn't make the whole thing soggy. We just got back from vacation and since we had no food in the house we grabbed a couple of subs and they were Great. I love a place where they just add the meat and cheese until the sandwich 'looks' right instead of pre-measured servings and I LOVE when my sandwich is on a soft sub-roll. From the outside the place doesn't look like much, but Summit and Main makes so many great sandwiches you need to stop in and just try something. You won't be disappointed. Most recently I reached out for a Saturday catering on a Monday and they were able to help. Food was delivered on time and by a friend driver. This review is based solely on the Miss Alaineious sub that my sister was kind enough to bring home for me when I was in need of a quick dinner option. What I thought would be just an average turkey sandwich was far from JUST that. For a lack of better words, it was just amazing. The whole wheat roll was stuffed with turkey, grilled chicken, sun dried tomatoes, lettuce, pepper jack cheese, and this delicious chipotle aioli sauce. When my sister told me what was inside of this HUGE sub, my first thought was, "wait... chicken AND turkey?". I'm a fan of both meats for sandwiches, but never would I have thought of combining the two. I loved the combination though! The aioli sauce on the sub was extremely flavorful. If I could somehow buy a tub of just that, I totally would and smother it on all of my sandwiches going forward. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, which sadly I can't always say when it comes to subs. Since I didn't actually go to the establishment, unfortunately I can't rate based on service, atmosphere, and pricing (thanks for my free sub, sis! ;) lol), but I definitely plan to stop here if I am ever in the Denville area. I've been dying to get back here since my last visit. I got the Miss Alaineious sub again and it was just as good as I remembered it the first time. Hands down the best sub I've ever gotten. It consists of sliced grilled chicken, turkey, sun dried tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and chipotle aioli sauce. I asked to just get turkey but I'm sure it's just as good with chicken in it as well. The sandwich is SO flavorful. I personally love the combination of the pepper jack cheese with the chipotle sauce. It definitely adds a little kick to it! They are very generous with the amount of meat they put in it. The sub itself is pretty large... my boyfriend and I split it and I was definitely left stuffed and satisfied. The Miss Alaineious is supposed to come on a 7-grain sub. However, they have unfortunately been out of it both times I have come here. While I would have preferred the 7-grain sub, regular sub he used tasted just fine. Staff is really friendly and the service is quick. It seems like there usually aren't too many people working at once so I would recommend calling ahead if you're in a rush. Seating is limited so take out is probably your best option. I highly recommend Summit and Main to anyone in the area! I know I'll be back soon! read more

Today marked my second visit to the 'ole Summit and Main Deli in Denville. I discovered this little gem a couple of years back on a Sunday when Sergio's was closed. I don't remember what I ordered that day (think it may have been a Tuna Sub) but I remember it being delicious and the wait not very long. I remember the bread being very fresh and hearty (this place doesn't do skimpy loaves!) and the sandwich outstanding. I came back today for lunch. Their credit machine was out of commission so it was cash only. Luckily, today was one of the rare occasions I actually had some dough on me (serendipitous people). I was in the mood for my favorite kind of sub, the mighty Italian....the Italian Stallion of subs, the Master of Disaster in the Deli. (I'm looking at you, all you fellow Rocky fans out there!) The ladies at the counter recommended The Townie, which is essentially an Italian sub- ham, Cappicola, Genoa Salami, Provolone, lettuce, tomato, onions, salt and pepper, oregano, oil and vinegar. I went with the 10-inch sub. I figured if I didn't finish the sandwich I'd have some outrageous leftovers! Oh what a sub! The meats were piled on high, and everything about this sandwich was incredible. Next time though, I will ask for extra oil and vinegar (I'm an O&V fiend) and for a little mayo to be added. ***Best part? I got 15% off for checking in on Yelp!*** This was my first check-in, so that offer may only be good for such an occasion. This place serves breakfast all day, and they also have a special where you get $2 off a 6-inch sub. Not bad! I only wish they included chips and/or a drink with a sub order. Just had the best breakfast sandwich from Summit and Main. I got an egg white, potato and cheese on a hard roll and it was hot and delicious. I don't eat meat anymore, but the potatoes were so savory and filling, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. Also, I ordered through DoorDash, and Summit and Main was the first restaurant/DoorDasher in my experience to not make any errors with the order. The order was delivered in half the time estimated. Currently on hold for over 40 minutes. We called and they picked up and placed the phone on the counter. We can hear them talking...but they haven't picked up the phone at all. Update : sent one of my colleagues to go to the place. Only after him telling them to pick up the phone that was placed on the table did they even acknowledge it and hung up. I am giving them 3 stars because I trust this is an isolated incident of poor service. Every other time I orderd from there, they have been prompt and courteous. The more I order from there the more opportunity for them to have the rating raised. I believe in being fair...everyone has a bad day every now and then. Went for lunch at Summit & Main. At first, I passed the place right by, as it is an inconspicuous store front in a large busy intersection. The store itself is small and only has wall lined seats on the counter - not the best place to eat in. I ordered a Cali Cheese steak and my co-worker ordered an Italian. The Cheese steak was delish - was of the better ones I've had. It certainly benefited from the character of the griddle it was cooked on. The Italian was also well made. Good, oldfashioned, neighborhood deli where you can pretty much get whatever breakfast or lunch fare you desire that day. The sandwiches are GIANT and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food. The space itself is very tiny and can get very crowded so I recommend taking your grub to go as opposed to eating at the bar and getting the stank eye from those waiting to order.
