Great selection of bubble teas and small bites. I had the taro slush with boba and herbal jelly (don't knock it til you try it!) and it was delicious. Happy to have another bubble tea spot! Will definitely go back.

Whoa so excited about this Kung Fu Tea / TKK Express! I love bubble tea and I love fried chicken and now I can conveniently get both in one stop! This location seems to have opened very recently. It's in a small unassuming strip mall on Ridgedale Ave and it was surprisingly very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot is small but it seemed like many people were walking and biking here from local neighborhoods. My green tea bubble tea was great - customized to 50% sweet which was perfect for me. The tea was good and not overbrewed or bitter. The boba was perfectly chewy and a little sweet. At first I thought the fried chicken and hot foods seemed pretty random so my expectations were low but I was blown away by the quality of my food! My spicy chicken sandwich was excellent - brioche bun was fresh and not soggy and the chicken was super crispy and juicy! For me the spicy was quite spicy... subtle at first but it will kick in. The wings were awesome and were really big. Also enjoyed the sides - curly fries were crispy, seasoned, and not super oily. The charred corn was delicious - sweet, buttery, and slightly smokey. Love this place and highly recommend it!

Service is good but the drinks are a bit too sweet even I asked for less sugar. Kids love the drinks but not too healthy if it's too sweet.

Everyone must try the Saigon special sandwich. I'm a foodie and a picky eater, I can tell from the ingredients of the sandwich that this restaurant genuinely demonstrates craftsmanship in how they prepare their food! Saigon special sandwich is the MUST ORDER! I highly recommend it! The curry beef over rice(I forgot the name) was great as well. Mango pudding is not good, it is heavily artificial flavored, avoid it if could.

Parking can be a bit tricky given its location near a major road, but there is metered parking right out front. One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful packaging. Instead of wrapping everything in paper/foil (which traps steam and softens the bread), they use takeaway containers that keep the banh mi bread crispy and intact. The portions are generous! I don't think I've ever had a bahn mi with so much protein! I personally asked for extra cilantro on some of the sandwiches which is why the cilantro looks so obnoxious in the pictures. Everything was solid and satisfying! The lemongrass chicken bahn mi stood out with its aromatic flavor. The Saigon special bahn mi though, could've used a bit more presence from the mayo and pate to enhance the flavors. Sounds weird, but surprisingly, the sardines in tomato sauce bahn mi was better than it sounds. It was savory and definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. The summer rolls were fresh, clean, and a great complement to the sandwiches. My only note: I wish the pickled carrots and radish had a bit more tang. They leaned mild rather than punchy. Overall, a reliable spot with thoughtful touches and flavorful options. I'd come back again.

We were very excited to discover Malay nearby in Morristown, and we had to check it out. We ordered the Malay Prawn Mee, Chicken Sambal, and the Roti Canai. Roti Canai is one of my favorite Malaysian dishes, but this didn't quite hit the spot. The roti wasn't soft and dip-able. It was kind of flaky and kept falling apart every time I tried to use it to scoop up some curry. The curry was a little watery and not all that flavorful, and I defintiely would've appreciated more than just one or two chunks of potato and chicken. The chicken sambal and soup were additionally a bit disappointing. The chicken sambal was just okay for me, and the flavor didn't really blow me out of the water. It almost felt like something I could make at home. The soup similarly did not have a particularly rich or flavorful broth, and left me a little dissapointed. Another thing that really influences my review is how cold it was inside. It got even colder when people opened and closed the door. It was so cold that our food didn't seem hot. I think the cold air cooled it off instantly and we were left eating room temperature chicken and soup.

The big snow storm happened weeks ago, and yet the parking lot had less spots because the snow was piled up on top of them, so we had to maneuver our way into a "made up" spot instead. Also, lately we have noticed that they have no chili oil on house for us to make our ramen spicier, which was a bit disappointing too. Again, the broth is really good and the service is nice too, we were just disappointed with these two inconveniences.

I had the Korean Kimchi soup ($17), a fabulous concoction of ramen noodles in a slightly spicy miso broth served with spam, kimchi, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo, wood-ear mushrooms, and corn. My dining companion had the Tokyo Chicken soup ($16) with udon noodles in a slightly spicy miso broth served with sliced teriyaki chicken, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo, wood-ear mushrooms, and corn. My carb-conscious dining companion seemed mildly surprised the chicken filet in her soup was breaded, rather than grilled.. but adjusted expectations accordingly. Both soups were served quickly and were fantastic. The portion sizes of our soups were very filling and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Parking is available in the front AND back of the building. The parking lot in front of the building facing NJ Route 10 can fill up quickly, but there is plenty of space in the parking lot behind the building and there are entrances in the front and back of the building.

And when I sat down inside this ultra-casual restaurant - I'm pretty sure that it's a converted residential house - I only saw my fellow diners ordering sushi. So don't come here for ramen; come for an incredibly tasty, inexpensive sushi experience. I had an amazing roll, and let me tell you, the presentation is stunning. It came out sizzling on cast iron, while my server spooned garlic sauce over the top to cook it and add dazzle. Filled with avocado and spicy tuna, the portion would be perfect for sharing with someone. I also had a dynamite roll, which more or less melted in my mouth. I was less wild about the Christian crosses at every table. I'm a secular person. All in all though, Asahi qualifies as a hidden, off-the-beaten-path gem of Parsippany.

If you like garlic, withhold expectations and absolutely give it a go. The contrast was an unbelievable experience--it was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. There was sweetness, balanced by a tiny touch of spicy from the tuna plus heavy garlic in the sauce. The roll is served on a scorching hot cast iron tray, contrasted by the cool sushi inside. Every bite was a battle of soft and crispy, sweet and spicy, hot and cool--we finished it and immediately ordered a second roll. *As a nod to another review, I will acknowledge that the room got a little smoky immediately after the Amazing Roll was served and the waitress/hostess did elastic-bungee the door open for a few minutes to clear the air, but the air was clear and the door was shut soon after. If I were to change anything about our experience here, it would only be to stop at the two other occupied tables on my way out to preach about this roll and highly recommend they give it a try. I was so shocked when I saw it that I completely neglected to get a picture, and for that I apologize. Please accept this picture of the write up as a token.

The Slurpee Store in Hanover…read more This 7-Eleven is my go to Slurpee Store when I'm close to Hanover. It is clean, bright, safe, has an abundance of drinks and snacks. Sometimes it smells like armpits... But I've been to 7-Elevens that have been/smelled worse. Aside from the occasional errant smell, this place is great if you are looking for a place to grab a quick drink or snack from. My wife who loves Slurpees a mere fraction that I do has asked me to drive us to this specific location for a Slurpee when she's thirsty. The drink counters are well stocked and clean. The Slurpees have consistently been at the right consistency when we've come. And the Slurpee flavors they carry tend to include the latest offerings. Getting in and out of here is easy and I appreciate that. This location was giving away free small Slurpees on 7/11 to celebrate Free Slurpee Day. There was no gimmick or hassle to get one, just pour yourself a small Slurpee between 11am and 7pm, show the cashier, get the thumbs up, and be on your way. If you have the 7-Eleven app there is No Hassle to use it here. What's not to love about getting a free drink after buying any 6 drinks from 7-Eleven? If you're looking for a quick drink or snack in the Hanover you should check this place out.
