I don't have much good things to say. Could have been their off night. Double Toro Roll was terrible (could not finish it). Ikura didn't taste right. Uni was really gross. The server mentioned that it was from California but did not know where or who the supplier was. I regularly get Santa Barbara uni from Yama Seafood (delivered to home) so I know what California uni is supposed to taste like.

My friend ordered a shrimp tempura roll and California roll, while I ordered the double toro roll and black swan roll. Oh my gosh, both of my rolls were DELICIOUS. The black swan was my favorite. Perfect amount of spice and flavor. The sauce was not too overbearing, so you can taste the fish. I just wish there were most special rolls on the menu that had salmon! Overall, I would come again.

We came out of convenience, being right across the train station. We will admit the ambiance is nice, but it doesnt account for the high prices and unimpressive food. There are many upcharges for any kind of substitution, and the sushi menu wasn't expansive. The special rolls were nothing of interest, so we stuck with nigiri and maki rolls. The fried rice was good, and it was nice that it came with a soup and salad to make it an entree. There is a lot of hot kitchen items in the menu if you are bringing non-sushi fans! We would come back if it was convenient, but probably wont make it a trip to come back.

Take out was smooth on a Saturday night! The beef fried rice was delicious, rice had a great little crisp to it. Beef was very tender. The King Dragon Roll was delicious. Eel, shrimp tempura with avocado and cucumber is such a great combo. We also got the Spicy Kani Roll. We usually get a Spicy Kani Salad but decided to just have it in a roll and it was even better. Not too mayo-y. It had a great texture and left a refreshing taste.

I've always passed this restaurant and wanted to finally get some food here. There are 2 other sushi spots in the area and I'll be visiting those soon to compare. Service was standard. They had a busy night but they sat me fairly quickly. The ambiance was a chill vibe. Moderate noise and nicely lit and decorated. I ordered the Philadelphia roll, spicy salmon roll and chicken ramen. All were good. The spicy salmon was minced which I find I am not a fan of. All in all it was a good experience and I enjoyed the food.

Has to be the best sushi ive had in a long time. I ordered the Seaweed Salad, Sakura ChaHan, MillBurn Sunrise and I also brought my own Sake [Yukikage]. The service reminds me of a Traditional Japanese lunch bar. Im so glad I was walking during restaurant week and found my new Sushi Spot! WOOP WOOP!

I came here with a small group of friends prior to a hike and it was the perfect meal to leave us satisfied without putting us in a food coma. The interior is clean and modern with a good amount of seating. They have limited parking spaces beside the restaurant in addition to street parking. We ordered two special rolls and the sashimi for 2 set. The special rolls were super flavorful. The sashimi for 2 was an unexpected delight! It came with 2 soups, 2 salads, 2 rice, and consisted of 41 pieces of sashimi (on a boat!) for $57. I thought it was a great deal considering all the food you are getting. The sashimi tasted bright and fresh. I would definitely return if in the area!

Came here trying a new sushi spot away from the usual ones I frequent that have gotten down well what makes them great. The sheen shows here but doesn't hit like I'd like it to. I started with the harumaki - spring roll like appetizer. Good presentation and tasted good. All good there. I went all in with my entree getting the Triple 3 which is a very colorful special roll of spice crunchy tuna and avocado inside, wrapped with soy paper. Tuna, salmon and yellowtail with sauces. It was really good and they didn't chesp out with the avocado which I guess is why it was so expensive at $18 which I think is a tad steep. I also found the roll to be real mushy. Like any softer you could just put it in your mouth and swallow it. The interior is really fancy looking and it's BYOB which is of course a perk but. I'd try again but since sushi is big now my expectations are too.

Very nice little spot with good service. Delicious menu items. BYOB so definitely bring a drink to enjoy! Various rolls to choose from.

Ok I'm so torn about what I want to rate this place... I just had the prettiest (and delicious) yellowtail dish here ... I mean check out my photo. If I could rate the dish alone- I would say 5 stars for the dish. Ok - so I ended up here because it's Monday. And both my fave sushi places Are closed on mondays then I came to get my fave falafels in the area and that place was closed .... but to stay on a positive note- that just means I could try a NEW place. I've always seen this place when I'm in the area but I've never been in. They have a small parking lot which is nice because most places in the area doesn't have their own parking lot. Otherwise you would have to find street parking or park in the lot down the street. I came in the tail end of things... and it's Monday so it wasn't busy. Sat down right away and the waiter was ready for me. Inside the Place looks fancy for a sushi spot. I saw the Jalapeño Yellowtail appetizer on Yelp and had my heart set on trying it. I also ordered a standard roll- spicy crunchy tuna. I go simple and easy with new places that I've never had before.... Cuz I'm not sure if I will like it. Beside the prices on the sushi here are INSANE. Like the most expensive I've seen for a local spot. The yellowtail app was $13 and the spicy crunch tuna was $7.5 . I can admit that the yellow tail app was delicious but the roll is standard roll and it was mediocre at best- i would pay $4-5 the most . All their specialty rolls were 13-17 bucks a pop. Their prices are what I would expect in Vegas or NY. Would I come back here again? Maybe- to have that appetizer or if I come with a group and we can share/try rolls but I doubt if I see myself coming back dolo

Food is good! Staff and service sucks... not friendly at all.... Found plastic on my miso ramen...

Food is good BUT Staff and service sucks! Not friendly at all. Like the workers didn't feel like working today... thanks for coming in anyway. In addition I found plastic on my miss ramen.

It's not Japanese noodle and they taste plain except for the extra oil. No idea why it's a Japanese restaurant.

Pretty standard sushi. It's ok. The staff is very pleasant and I trust their food. The indoor seating is nice yet a bit outdated.

The Vegetable Tom Yam Soup with flat rice noodles is also a delicious bowl of warmth and flavor (a little spciy kick, too). Their portions are generous and the food is always flavorful. The service is attentive and fast. I like to go solo or with friends, either way, it's a wonderful experience each time. In the heart of South Orange Village, directly across from Spiotta Park, you can't miss it!

Their food is good but there's room for improvement in some aspects. Our spider roll was very good - I am always satisfied with their sushi. My partner had the spicy drunken noodles. I personally think they are too spicy but it's totally fine for people who are spice-tolerant. My partner did comment that the dish could overall use more flavor, especially the meat. I had the yaki udon, which I was not super happy with. They advertise mushrooms come with it, which my dish didn't have. The beef was completely bland - no flavor and not enjoyable at all. The dish itself was just okay - not bad but nothing to write home about. It could've used more flavor- it was pretty bland. I likely would not order the udon again.

On my second visit, I tried the blackened shrimp and corn cakes, and that dish alone inspired me to finally leave a review. Every ingredient was so vibrant and delightful, with flavors that complimented each other beautifully. The sweet corn cakes combined with the heat of the shrimp and the creamy avocado were perfect. The various textures made each bite even better. My friend also loved the american waygu burger. The place was pretty packed around 4:30 pm on a Saturday, but service was still pretty quick. Our waitress was also super sweet and attentive. Definitely one of the best dinners I've had in the area. Amazing spot!!

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.
