This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and the staff was very attentive and quick. We had all you can eat sushi for two people and it was $30 per person. I'm from SoCal so this is typical and reasonable. As with all places that are all you can eat, you need to be careful how much you order otherwise you'll get charged for the leftovers. We started with miso soup and a couple of the apps. The crab salad was so delicious. Simple but tasty. The apps were hot and fresh and came out quickly. We ordered five rolls between the two of us and a couple pieces of salmon sashimi. We finished off with a scoops of strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Yum!! Everything was fresh and colorful. Came to celebrate a friend's birthday last night and I will cut straight to the point. The place is small and the tables were spaced out. They have the worst service ever, no matter how many times you ask them to get you things and you keep repeating it to them they will not bring you what you asked. I had to ask for silverware and got it 30 mins later and asked 3 different severs. Asked for vegetable udon soup to come out with the AYCE and they didn't bring it out until I was getting my ice cream. Their sushi is nothing to write home about. Only their filet mignon sushi was good, the rest wasn't that good and the soup was awful and unseasoned. I will definitely not be returning back here again. The best place to get sushi for the best price. Takeout sushi is half-price all day every day. They do charge for every little thing and like a small sauce on the side ($1 for small container) or anything but it's worth it because the prices are so good on sushi. You get a bang for your buck and it is really good sushi. This is usually my go to spot I have it at least two or three times a month. They were closed to eat indoors for a long time but I realized they actually opened up but I have not been in to dine in. Also if you dine in the sushi is not that price so expect to pay full price. I came here a few times before and had a pleasant experience. This will be my LAST time. The "all you can eat" sushi came with some "extra protein" there were flies flying all over and in our sushi. That aside the amount of rice on the rolls especially the spicy tuna and specialty rolls was ridiculous and obnoxious. The specialty roll that was pink did not have any fish either like the description said! There was no warning about the excessive rice either they mislead you by saying "6 pieces" and give this giant roll of just rice and not just a regular serving. This place is pretty decent for what it is. Sushi is always solid and comes out fairly quick. However, the past few times I've gone they've forgotten at least one item I've ordered on the all you can eat it just never arrives to the table. There were also times in the past when the staff has been rude slamming the check on the table or seeming annoyed when someone orders. The inside is kind of small but has a nice aesthetic. One of the worst sushi buffet I have been to. We were a party of 6. They seated us right away but the service was slow. They served us one time and even though we ordered a second time the second order it never came. We didn't just order from the sushi bar we also ordered thru the kitchen menu. They took forever so we ordered dessert so it will follow after our second order. But no they completely dismissed the second sushi order and hot food order. When I asked to speak to the manager they said they were busy . That was just a poor excuse. We sat there for nearly two hours waiting for our second order of buffet. The kids were restless so we left. We paid $200 but was barely served $100 worth of kitchen hot food nor sushi. I do not recommend this place. i recommend the whole staff to learn basic service 101. I have been to Sushi Time twice, both times the food was good, but the end payment had complications both times. The first time, I went with a group of friends, everything was fine. When it came time to pay the bill, I don't know if the worker didn't know how to make multiple separate transactions for the payment, but she said we could only do one, and I ended up paying the whole $65 for the 5 of us. Second time, we got all you can eat, finished it all, and were ready to pay the $28 that the menu said it would be. We got the bill, and we were charged $28 per person, and it was about $123. I tried to talk to one of the staff, and all she said was "of course it was per person", and we were all confused because we were only handed one menu for the four of us, so it was reasonable to assume that it would be $28 for all of it. I ended up paying the majority, once again, but this time, it was a different staff member, and she was able to take more than one source of payment, so we split it between cash and card. I still don't know if we got scammed, but the menu never specified it was that much per person and it still doesn't sit right with me that it would be almost $30 per person for all you can eat. read more

I have attached pictures. The really good roll is the filet mignon roll but it's not worth it when the rice is made up of more than the actual contents of the roll. I have a picture of the excess rice that was removed from eating a single filet mignon roll. It should be called all the rice you can eat, not all you can eat. Quality of ingredients have clearly gone down. The mushroom soup was watered down. The meats from the appetizers were very hard and dry. No amount of sauce on top can solve the miracles needed to fix that meat. Fish quality was ehh. It's 27.75 for a single person when it's mainly made up of rice. And when I asked the owner for less rice in the roll. She refused. She is constantly while eating removing plates without asking if you are done with the food. Very rude lady. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Jersey! They have all you can eat for $22 and half price on carry out sushi which is amazing. I leave full and happy every time. This time, I ordered shrimp, crab, eel, and tobiko sushi. I also got the angry dragon roll. Everything was delicious and I ate every last bite. The service here leaves a bit to be desired. The servers aren't very friendly and our server gave us the wrong food, but corrected the mistake quickly. The first time i came across Sushi Time was at work when my coworker ordered the Godzilla Roll for lunch. I am allergic to shellfish so i have always been scared to try eating sushi. However, the Godzilla roll doesn't have shellfish, it has cooked tuna inside. That was the first time i ever tried sushi and after that i was hooked with that specific roll. It came to a point that i was ordering it twice a week for lunch. The beauty about Sushi Time is that you can call ahead of time and they'll have it ready for you for pick it up or you can also request delivery. Since Sushi Time is only 10 minutes away from my job i usually pick it up. From 11am-3pm which is considered lunch time their rolls are 50% off so they come out to around 7-8 dollars which is such a great deal!! read more

The sushi here is pretty good. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but definitely good for an all you can eat sushi place. It is also BYOB which is always nice, and there is a liquor store nearby. Apparently there is also a lunch special where rolls are 50% off from 11-3. I've never tried that myself, but worth taking note of. I've been here multiple times and I never have much to complain about in terms of the sushi. The portions are pretty good and like I said before, the taste is pretty good. Only complaints I have would have to do with the service/servers. I've had multiple instances where I'd ask for a water refill or a side of spicy mayo 2-3 times, and they'll still completely forget about it. It also just feels like some of the waiters really don't want to be there. To their credit though, once they place our orders they usually get the sushi done pretty quickly. I came in with a couple of friends for dinner. Before I walked in, I noticed a huge "GRAND OPENING" banner with a promotion for All You Can Eat Weekday Buffet at $19.95 & Weekend Buffet at $21.95 (Kids under 10 Eat for $10.95). Being that it was a Thursday, I ate a lot of sushi for a great price! Going in, the interior design of the restaurant looks a lot nicer and more welcoming (though I don't understand the framed photographs of Paris, NYC, etc in a place of Japanese origin or the blacklight outside the bathroom entrances - see photos) But anyway, let's talk about the food. The sushi is average, but for the amount paid - it's worth every penny. I ordered Miso Soup (as usual), 3 Sushi Time Special Rolls - the Phoenix Roll (Spicy Salmon Crunch, cucumber with crab salad, tobiko) & the Godzilla Roll (Fried Spicy Tuna, Red Tobiko), and another roll I can't remember, and two servings of Green Tea ice cream. I had no complaints with any of these orders, but I've just tasted better - and albeit pricier - sushi. Presentation & taste was average, but price was superb. I wanted to love this restaurant so badly! What's not to love, all you can eat sushi for under $25 and BYOB..and close to home..awesome! Except the quality of seafood, rice and side dishes left much to be desired. We came here with friends and they liked it but we are pickier and our expectations are higher than theirs. The seafood was not fresh, we had sashimi and short of spitting it out we grabbed our napkins and folded it over the very questionable piece of fish. The only thing that was good was the seaweed salad, the rolls did not have the correct meat to rice ratio and the sashimi was not fresh. I guess I am sticking to our usual sushi place even if it is not all you can eat. If you are more concerned about quantity over quality then this is the place for you! We eat sushi regularly and wanted to try this restaurant as we like supporting local places. We are adventurous in our eating and eat uncooked seafood often so I know we don't have sensitive stomachs but this place made us both too familiar with the bathroom..lost a few pounds if you know what I mean. I've been to this sushi place a handful of times because my brother lives directly across the street. The appetizers and the sushi is usually pretty good. I don't really have a problem with the food as much as I do with the service. Every single time I eat here, they rush you right out of the restaurant.
