Edo, whoa-oh-oh-oh! Edo's custom cakes look and taste divine! My sis-in-law told me about this baker a couple years ago and since then, I've gotten really impressive Spider-Kitty and Peppa Pig-themed cakes for my kids' birthdays and work events. Edo's so friendly. He's extremely responsive via text and phone and offers very fair pricing. For a welcome-back shindig for my coworker, he made a rainbow-layered cake based on my requests of white buttercream frosting and whatever design he wanted. When I picked it up, the design was such a good surprise of an airbrushed rainbow with creamy clouds and touches of gold. When we cut into it at work, my colleagues and I loved the way it looked outside and inside (6 vibrantly colored layers!) and tasted- super moist with classic vanilla flavor. Ultra-recommended! TIP: **easy parking in the front **really good cupcakes **You don't have to visit to place an order. You can do it via text or phone.

My birthday cake. So delicious.

We read great reviews about this place, so we decided to get a cake to celebrate my 50th Birthday this past December. I wanted a chocolate ganache cake, the Baker did not disappoint . This was the best cake I can ever remember having. Looking forward to ordering a birthday cake for my Mom's birthday. She is a Valentine baby; excited to see what he does for her cake.

The pic on the left is what I showed Edo I wanted and the pic on the right is the cake he made for us.

I am so happy I found Edo's Bakery. I didn't find too many pics on yelp so I searched him on FB and was able to see more of his work there. It was easy to contact Edo via text/fb messenger. He gave me a quote and when I came into his shop he didn't have samples out for me, but he later made some vanilla cupcakes and I came back to pick one up. The flavor of our cake was vanilla with coconut filling. It was phenomenal, perfect amount of moisture and the filling was light and tasted like real coconut. The buttercream frosting was airy and tasteful, you could eat a whole spoon full of it and not get overwhelmed. Now as for the look of the cake it was everything we asked for. Looks identical to the picture we provided except with a twist as the happy birthday is on the cake which we actually like a lot better. It's been a busy year with our son and I've had zero time to yelp, but we were just so happy with the product that I felt compelled to write a review ASAP. Thanks Edo!

Best birthday cake ever!!

My son's 3rd birthday cake was unbelievable! We have been using Edo to make his cakes each year and it is so fun how creative and different each one turns out! He nailed the animal theme I didn't even tell him what we wanted I just said a number 3 and a cupcake pull apart. I love the cupcake idea for little kids parties because each kid gets their very own cupcake! Even the adults scarfed them down and enjoyed them immensely. The frosting was just perfect not too sweet at all :) Everyone loved the cake and I always look forward to working with Edo. He is so helpful and patient and always does a fantastic job that is sure to please!!!!

Misspelled word on cake

The cake was pretty good, 6.5 out of 10. BUT there was a word misspelled on my daughters first birthday cake. I didn't notice until I got home an hour before her party, so I didn't tell my husband or the guest. I also was quoted one price then told another and had to pay the higher amount.

Kings smash cake(smudged by another kid lol)

We are new to Jersey and decided to go with Edo's for our sons first birthday party. He did a fantastic job with his smash cake and our cupcakes. We had an idea of what we wanted and he let us know right away what he could do and couldn't do. We got four dozen minis and our smash cake for a good price. Everything tastes amazing and the cupcakes looked amazing as well. A smash cake is supposed to look simplistic, however the flavors were anything but that. Would recommend and definitely would go back.

Cupcakes were soft and tasty, but on the small side. But I would still come back if I am craving some cupcakes. XD

If you are looking for a stress-free, high-energy, and absolutely delicious birthday party venue, look no further than Splurge Bakery in Millburn. We recently celebrated our child's birthday there, and I cannot rave about the experience enough! Why It Was a Huge Hit: The Vibe: From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was bright, welcoming, and perfectly set up for a group of excited kids. It's the kind of place that feels special as soon as you cross the threshold. The Activities: The staff are absolute pros at keeping a room full of children engaged. They led a fantastic cupcake and cookie decorating session that was the perfect mix of "organized" and "creative chaos." Every child felt like a master pastry chef. Stress-Free Hosting: This was the best part for me. The Splurge team handled everything from the setup to the cleanup. I actually got to sit back, take photos, and enjoy the moment instead of running around like a frantic party planner. The Verdict Splurge Bakery strikes that rare balance of being professional, whimsical, and delicious. The staff was incredibly patient with the kids and made the birthday child feel like the star of the show. If you want a party that your kids will be talking about for months (and a cleanup you don't have to deal with), book Splurge. It is worth every penny!

The bakery itself is beautiful--well-lit with a wide variety of options--but sadly, everything I tried tasted stale. The cupcakes and push pops were incredibly dry, and the frosting tasted like it had been left out for days. The pecan bars were very hard and dry in the pastry part, though the topping was good, which was the only redeeming factor.

In the summer, they have outdoor seating as well. It's a bakery with fresh pastry items as well as a deli with lots of cold cut options and breakfast sandwiches. Since it was 1pm I ordered an Italian sandwich on a Portuguese roll with all the fix-ins. For dessert, a classic pastel de nata. The sandwich was delicious, although I felt it could use a little more meat. They went cheap, but still satisfying. The winner of the show was the pastel de nata. Tasted different than a traditional one from the famous Teixeira's bakery in Newark, but in a good way. Slightly sweeter and creamer, and it came out warm straight from the oven. Do yourself a favor and order a whole dozen to bring back home!
