The staff at the window was super nice and answered all my questions with a smile. Used to be my most favorite bakery to get cupcakes from. They used to have carrot cake which they no longer offer. The black velvet is my personal favorite. The size of the "original" cupcakes used to be much bigger with more frosting on top when I used to frequent here. Gigi's also offers mini sized cupcakes, but I always go for the original size which used to be massive. The original cupcake is now the same sized cupcake you would be able to get elsewhere. The cupcakes are very fresh! Ordering and pick up is only done outside at their window. I miss going inside to see the displays of all cupcakes available. No indoor or outdoor seating. read more

I ordered a dozen different cupcakes via DoorDash to try this spot and standouts were Lemon (refreshingly sweet and sour), Nutella Banana (do it!), and the girl scouty Samoa (caramel/choco/toasted coconut). Then the day before my daughters' birthday party, I ordered 5 dozen mini-cupcakes in 4 different flavors for delivery and they arrived within just 30 minutes!!!!! I got a taste of them when a colleague brought a box of minis in, and really wanted to order them for delivery, but sadly they are too far from my apartment. After a long and really stressful day at work, I really felt like I deserved reward. My coworker and I google for places that we could get cupcakes or cakes to brighten up or day. I really didn't want to drive 30minutes but after calling and talking to James, I was convinced that this was a place that would be worth the trip. A company can offer a great product, but customer service can be the down fall. However, in this case, James is the example of what excellent customer service looks like. We arrived at GiGis and was greeted with warm welcome and I immediately recognized that it was James. He help us as we made the more and was polite the entire time. I was truly impressed with attitude and interaction with customers. The cupcakes were amazing. They were moist and perfectly balanced. All I have to say is, wow! This is Gigi's cupcakes is in kind of an odd location, but I am glad that I found them through Yelp. Not only did they have an amazing selection of flavors, but they also had every flavor available in minis. When I go to a new cupcake shop, I want to try everything. It is too difficult to just choose one or two. Gigi's made all of their flavors available in minis and priced them very fairly at $18 or $19 per dozen. Typically I have found other cupcake shops charging $2- $2.50 per cupcake, so Gigi's is definitely competitive. Signs are clear You can tell they specialize in catering. They have a menu with the basic/main cupcake flavors... but it appears from what I gather form Yelp photos etc that they have specials of the day. So they won't always have everything ( unless you special order it I assume) The cupcakes are simple. They come in regular size and mini. I can't lie- the prices are kinda expensive for cupcakes. I bought a dozen of the minis and it cost $18. The regular size dozen would have been like $36. I don't see myself coming back on a regular basis - unless special occasions. As tiny as this cupcake shop is, it packs a lot of power with a myriad full of cupcake flavors ranging from your classic vanilla to a little less traditional flavors like caramel cheesecake and black velvet. The shop boasts a variety of cupcake sizes ranging from tiny to original to jumbo and there's a very small area set up (maybe 2 tables with a few chairs) to enjoy a cupcake or 2 with a friend. When I entered through the door, the employee was involved in assisting a customer so it was a tad disappointing to not immediately get a greeting. After he was done however, he did acknowledge our presence and said it would be a few minutes before we were assisted - another slight disappointment as we waited a full 6 minutes before another employee entered from the back and kindly offered to take our order. I brought home a half dozen cupcakes for $18.00 carried in a somewhat posh looking GiGi bag with pink tissue paper peeking out. I felt like I had gone shopping (for cupcakes) in Beverley Hills :-) The cupcakes were equally tasty as they were pretty. Order not received, Very rude staff and hopelessly disorganized management. I paid for my order and it was not even fulfilled. I had to ask for a refund. One employee assured me in the phone that my order was ready, for 12 cupcakes and a balloon for my daughter's birthday. When we showed up, another employee said it was never even made, even though they had already closed the store. The employee was already irate because another frustrated customer yelled at her in front of me for a whole different problem. So when I, very politely asked her a question, she began yelling at me saying 'Get out! Get out!'. I was so shocked. It so happened that because this was right after hours, the store alarms had gone off because she went back into the shop. Instead of politely asking me to leave, she just shouted and intimidated me. My question to her was just to inquire if she would be giving me fresh cupcakes if she went in to finally make the order! That set her off. Guess what, the police showed up because of the alarms and they made sure she would give me a refund. I have never in my life been treated like this, in a shop, with one salesman saying an order is ready and another taking offense and insulting and threatening me. Don't go to this place. They have lovely signs outside, but that's about it, When we came to pick up the order, we were informed that the cupcakes were ready and waiting for us. In fact, a gentleman named Jordan spoke to me twice today and even said he would hold them for us till 4:45 pm since we were stuck in traffic.
