So a random TikTok video prompted this trip... I didn't even end up getting a cookie but the tres leches cake... that's the real reason for the high rating. The Tres Leches cake is certainly in the TOP 3 in my book! For the price point I feel like I'm robbing them! It's soooooooooo good! It's the perfect amount of sponge cake, whipped cream, all the sweet milks! I'm having flashbacks. So I can't talk too much about the cookies because I haven't had one from there yet, not sure if I will. I kind of want to keep Crumbl my go to for mini cakes. There is plenty of parking and it's conveniently right on rt.22 westbound. The store itself is pretty small, but clean and it smelled good! BUT the service is not good. When you walk in you have to order at a kiosk. I didn't know that so I stood in a line for at least 15 minutes wondering why no one was acknowledging that people were in a line to order at the register. Finally when I saw a few people go to the kiosk and order and their name was called, I put 2 and 2 together. I guess it would have been too hard for proper signage for first time guest and for the workers to acknowledge people when they come in. Now that I know what to do... I'll be just coming in for the cake... also with that said... order ahead online! You can thank me later because it was a zoo inside with all the people picking up their orders. So need less to say... I'll be back... not for the service, not for the cookies, but that sweeeeeet Five Star Tres Leches cake! read more

The cookies here continue to be great but the wait times haven't gotten crazy with only one person packing orders. It's clear that other staff are working on other tasks but today I waiting 20+ minutes for my order placed in the store with one person packing orders and the store was full with additional people waiting. I'm very curious at what point does another person step in to help. One person's order needing to be fixed only made the wait longer. Very disappointing. I always enjoy coming to this location -- it's consistently clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient. They always get your cookies out quickly, which I really appreciate. I've been hearing so much about these cookies, and while driving in NJ, I saw this spot and I had to try them. There was not much of a wait time as far as patrons, so I excited about that. The staff were really nice as they explained the cookies and types of other stuff. I got my favorite flavor of anything, peanut butter. I must say the cookie was denser than I imagined. Yet another cookie place review. I've been passing by Crumbl Cookies for a while and finally decided to try it. These cookies were soft, not too sweet, and DELICIOUS! I tried the milk chocolate chip, Strawberry Milk ft. Pirouline®, sea salt toffee, apple cider muffin, and stores. They were all so good! My personal favorite was the Strawberry Milk and chocolate chip. They was so so good! I really wanted to love these cookies. Especially after spending over 30 dollars on a few cookies but it's going to be a big no for me. The cookies are so dense and undercooked. None of the classic flavors were good. The only one I would consider again was a strawberry crumb cookie and only because the frosting and crumbs on top reminded me of a strawberry shortcake ice cream. Please train your employees better! The woman taking my order gave me a blank stare and didn't even greet me. I told her my order and I remember I specifically did not choose the Nutter Butter flavor because my sister has a nut allergy. The same employee packed the cookies then presented me the opened box without saying anything. I was confused as to how she wanted me to respond-- like do I take the box from her or what? I just nodded my head (because I didn't know what to do and I was in bit of a rush), she packed the cookies, then I was on my way. When I got to my house, I was shocked to realize that this woman got my order wrong and put the Nutter Butter cookie in my box instead of what I originally ordered! Whooooaaaaaa! Ok I'm rather simple when it comes to almost everything in my life including what I eat. I don't need anything extravagant but OH MAMA these cookies are amazing!!!!! I pass by this place all the time on route 22 and was always like "what kinda fool would pay extra dollars for cookies like who cares??" ME! ME ME I WOULD! The parking lot wasn't too packed when I visited. Waited in briefly, one of the self order kiosks was down, which added a bit to the wait time. Got a Biscoff and carrot cake cookie. Both were served warm. I enjoyed the biscoff more than the carrot cakes. read more

We were greeted as soon as we walked in... and then I quickly realized there were THREE people behind the counter. We were the only ones there for a few moments before another family walked in behind us. They had gone there before so generally knew what they wanted. Me? Not so much. Despite how many people were working at the time, there were no explanations or help... but they do respond to questions. They have a few small tables but it's a relatively small store. There are display cases filled with cookies, pastries, cupcakes, and cakes. Lots of character in there, but nothing is labeled and there are no prices other than the cookies (they're purchased by weight... 1 lb is 10 cookies). I sort of ran with it, but since I don't know the names of half the items, this will be a more general review. I grabbed a lobster tail and a sfogliatelle. They look similar at first glance... but when I asked, they are definitely NOT the same thing. In fact, she sounded a bit offended I asked. Hahaha. She mentioned something about the sfogliatelle being baked? It also comes in two sizes and I got the large. I later ate them and... I'm not too sure what the difference is because they're similar in shape. The lobster tail seems to be a flaky pastry that was cut in half and the cream piped in. The sfogliatelle was not cut but it was filled as well and I'm pretty sure they added orange zest to it... I liked that. The lobster tail didn't have any citrus that I remembered. I enjoyed them... but we ate them the next day. They weren't the crispiest then. Also got two large cannoli's filled with the regular cream. Plus a cream puff filled with "custard" (you can opt for ricotta instead). And an interesting beige white tart and a teeny fruit tart (I actually wanted the bigger fruit tart but they got the mini one instead... I didn't notice until we got home since everything is packed behind the counter). Cannolis were pretty good! Lots of cream and the shells were still crisp, but you could taste the oil since they're deep fried. I should have gotten the smaller size so the proportions would have been more balanced. The cream puff was a cream puff? Nice and light with the thick filling inside that wasn't too sweet. The fruit tart was good with a standard sweet tart shortbread crust. The mystery lattice tart thing was good as well! Not sweet and had very interesting flavors... fairly certain almonds were a part of it. Probably a version of frangipane? My daughter got a Spider-Man cupcake. Their cupcakes have a thin icing type topping instead of your typical piped frosting on top. They're also filled with a buttery frosting that isn't too sweet! I was pleasantly surprised. I was apprehensive when she was adamant on getting that cupcake because they're often overly sweet. I would like to note that a lot of their creams/custard filled goodies use the same filling. And it's not what I expected. Custard, it said. The filling was definitely more dense, not too sweet (a great thing), but also slightly grainy. I can't say they were eggy and they were far from the consistency of pudding. I'm thinking they might be ricotta based? The most loose "filling" we ate was probably the cannoli cream. Overall, I'm not sure exactly what I ate since they never really went the extra step or elaborated when I asked questions. Very to the point for a group of teenagers who were behind the counter. They were nice? But sort of uninterested. They seemed a little more enthusiastic about the other family. Oh yes. I also ordered a coffee for my husband... which wasn't rung up. I went back wondering where it was and it turns out it was forgotten about but we did eventually get it. He got a large and it is a HUGE cup. So... the goodies were pretty good. I was surprised in several ways - the fact I'm not too sure what I ordered and that they were perfectly sweet. But I found service lacking a bit. I will likely go back again if I'm in the area but I'd probably be just as clueless. We would have tried the goodies there and stayed longer but one of my kids has multiple food allergies and the place doesn't seem great for that (or for non-regulars) so we ate them later when our kid could have something as well. The pastries ended up being about $4-5 each and the cupcake was $4.50 - so the total adds up FAST. There is an automatic 3.75% service charge that was added on... not sure what that's about? The total was about $40 at the end, not including tip. My rating is a 3 because though I generally enjoyed the treats I got, I have mixed feelings due to the experience on this first visit as a whole. I'm hoping my future visits will be better.
