I ordered a birthday cake from Jammed Up, and I was disappointed with what I received. I ordered my custom cake through their website. I waited a couple of days and got no response, so I decided to message them on Instagram. They then got back to me almost instantly. My order was for a funfetti cake (not gluten-free, not vegan) with a white chocolate mousse filling and pink buttercream on the outside. I provided some images for what I was looking for and also asked for a gold drip and some decoration on the top including fresh flowers. I went to pick up my cake and decided not to open it because I had high hopes that it would meet my expectations. However, when I got to the car I took a peek at it. The outside looked plain and like it had been rushed. The gold drip looked more orange and you could see the paint marks where they had colored it. Even after being disappointed with the looks of it, I thought that it would taste good. When the time came to cut the cake it was extremely hard. Between the layers of cake, it was dark chocolate mousse instead of white chocolate. As for taste, the actual cake tasted like flour and was dry. All in all, I would not recommend this bakery. The cake that I received was not worth the price. I was very disappointed and will not be going back. read more

Ordered a beautiful cake for my boyfriend from Jammed Up for his birthday. It was a last minute order so I'm very thankful that they were able to accommodate me! I placed an order for a 6' funfetti cake with vanilla buttercream icing. The cake itself was beautifully decorated and well packaged. Also, best funfetti I've ever had -- the cake was beyond moist and super flavorful. Based on the smell alone I knew it was going to be great. The only complaint that I had was while very tasty, there was an excessive amount of icing between the layers of cake which were not as thick. I will deff reorder from them, maybe next time I'll specify in the notes that I'd like thicker cake layers and less icing. read more

Jammed Up Bakery is not only a terrific local business, it's a treasure. Their cookies are the singularly best, somehow fluffiest, cookies I've had in some time. The people are so nice and friendly, and they're right next to Van Gogh's Ear so they have a great showcase for their baked treats! But that's not all - they are seriously amazing at customer service. We got a custom cake for my sister-in-law's bridal shower. On the way home, I braked a bit hard and the cake shifted. The fondant ribbon with the bride-and-groom-to-be's names on it broke right down the middle! I called in asking if it might be fixable, and they told me that the person who does the fondant and handwriting didn't work on weekends but they could try to fix it with gum paste. Since the shower was in 24 hours, we took what we could get and brought the cake back. When I arrived they said they were going to try to remake the fondant ribbon, and remake it they did - in hours, way faster than we could have asked or hoped for! Great people, seriously great people. I want to go there on the reg for any cakes or cookies from here on out. read more

Found this bakery through Instagram, and decided to order a mixed dozen box of cookies. I had them shipped because I'm far enough away that curbside pickup wouldn't be ideal. They arrived the next day, perfectly packaged, and still soft. My only major complaint is not having my choice of cookies in the box. That, unfortunately, will prevent me from ordering any more. I'd like the ability to order what I like, and skip the types that I don't. It isn't worth the cost otherwise. There were so many compliments -- 'best cake I've ever had' was a repeated refrain -- not kidding! i had a disappointing experience with Jammed Up Bakery in Union last September when the vegan cake i bought completely fell apart on the relatively short and smooth ride back home despite being on my passenger's lap. i wish i took a picture of the cake when i first checked it before driving to show you a before and after comparison. to make matters worse, the cake was excessively sweet, even for my sister who can eat dessert for all three meals of the day. the funfetti vanilla cake turned out to be a disappointment. i won't be ordering again in the future. i took my business to Yellow Rose for a later birthday and was amazed at the difference in quality. i picked up my cake from Yellow Rose, which is located farther away from me. despite the farther, bumpier, and more hilly journey i took to and from Yellow Rose, the cake was completely intact. i'm not sure why the Jammed Up Bakery cake fell apart on a short 20 minute trip, but it wasn't my fault. maybe it has to do with the moisture and composition of the cake. read more
