As I walked through the mall a smell filled the air. The scent of vanilla, or sugar, or something fresh out of the oven. This scent didn't just linger, it pulled. Each step I took felt less like a choice and more like I was being led. And my nose led me straight to CeeCee's Cupcake Palace. That is where I met CeeCee. She has the kind of kindness that makes it impossible to just walk away without trying some of her delicious smelling cupcakes and treats. Even as guy that doesn't enjoy a cupcake or a piece of cake, the first bite into CeeCees cupcakes changed my whole perception of cake as a whole. And while her cupcakes are delicious her cake pops are absolutely to die for. After my first time trying CeeCees I understood something important: this wasn't just about cupcakes or cake pops. It was about joy, carefully crafted and generously shared in the form of cake. All shoppers of the freehold mall are spoiled with this cupcake establishment and I now have a newfound appreciation for the kind of magic only CeeCee can bake.

It's so good to stumble across a black owned business locally. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and the spot was super cute. I was greeted by the owner and served by a nice young man. I went with the strawberry lemonade cupcake and it came to a little over $3. I paid and left. I went home and dug in. The cupcake was very good, moist, and so filling. I really liked it and will return to try other items.

Just going to stop by since I was in the area. The bakery is in this shopping center and the parking lot was pretty full when I arrived Sunday afternoon. I agree with the reviewers that this place is small. I felt that I wanted to take my time looking at items but the space felt crowded while looking. Overall they had many options to choose some but there were some empty looking shelves in the far back. I managed to get a few items to try and a slice of cake. There are kiosks to also order drinks. The line was long but moved quickly. The items I tried: Cheesy hot dog: pretty good! very sweet bread with a tiny hot dog. White Chocolate strawberry: delicious strawberry filling. The bun was soft and not overly sweet. Berry bun: I got the very last one! DELISH! The bun of milky, soft and berry filled. My favorite probably. Taro bun: HUGE! Love the taro paste but the bread was alittle off since there was seeds in it. Not loving that texture Tiramisu cheesecake: very good fluffy cheesecake. Would have liked more tiramisu/coffee flavor. Chocolate bun: Another favorite. Very good chocolate fudge on the inside. Wish I bought 10 of theses. Egg tarts: I got the two pack. Wish I got the full box (maybe next time). Flaky buttery crust with sweet egg custard. Also a favorite. Overall everything I got was really good. I also loved that the prices were very affordable ($2-5). The only thing I would add is maybe to have more a description and allergens added to the cards so people with allergies could identify what they can and cannot eat. Cant wait to come back and maybe try one of the drinks :)

It was packed, good thing they have a large parking lot. the milk tea on the other hand was using powdered and tasted artificial. the tapiocas were old and soggy. I would avoid at all cost.

Keeping my "blinders" on, my mission is to get a few of those famous crispy bakes for my daughter's 26 birthday instead of buying a whole cake. That said, I don't believe in writing a place off after a single average experience, so I decided to give it a second chance. This time, I ordered two different viral crunches along with a croissant. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing across the board. The Mixed Berry Crunchy was cute in presentation, but that was its only redeeming quality. There was no bold--or even subtle--mixed berry flavor. At $10, it felt wildly overpriced and not worth the calories. Next was the Lemon Crunchy, which is supposed to feature a lemon blueberry flavor. As someone who loves lemon, I had high expectations, but once again it was bland and forgettable. Since this is a bakery, I also tried a fresh croissant and asked for it to be warmed. The staff accommodated the request, and it smelled incredible. It was warm, light, and flaky--but sadly, the flavor fell flat. A light brushing of butter on top would have gone a long way. For me, this is strike two. Unfortunately, Lilla Vanilla just isn't worth the money or the calories. Based on my experience--mediocre service on the first visit, bland and overpriced featured items on the second, and only neutral-to-slightly-positive notes on the croissant--I'd rate it 2 out of 5 . I seriously contemplated giving them 1 star but to be fair, the viral crunchy presentation was appealing and the croissant did have good texture (even if the flavor missed).

We also love their soufflé cheesecake when we do splurge on dessert. It's kind of pricey. But worth it! I was a little disappointed with the blueberry yogurt cake - tasted stale (ugh), but the mochi donuts were yummy! This location is pretty new, less than 1 yr old. Right around the corner from Chipotle, on the 18th Avenue busy hub. Self service, tray, line with parchment, grab your goodies and pay. The staff are nice and friendly. Clean, roomy enough for customers to browse what they want but smaller than the location on 86th St. Although the price point is higher than your Asian bakery, the aesthetic and variety and taste makes it worth while. I'm a fan and be sure to join their loyalty program for treats!

**First Time Visit & Definitely Not the Last!**…read more I stopped by this location for the first time and loved the self-serve style of dining. Walking in, the space was clean with a calm, quiet ambience and light music playing in the background -- such a relaxing vibe. You're greeted right away, then directed to the plastic trays, a box of parchment paper what company will logo and your own single-use tongs. From there, you get to browse at your own pace through two beautiful display cases filled with beautiful desserts and cakes, and tarts. Also well as two fully stocked fridges filled with drinks, sandwiches, and salads (which looked SO fresh and delicious -- definitely trying those next time!). The two baristas working were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were knowledgeable about the drinks, happy to offer recommendations, and made the experience feel welcoming. They offer cakes, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate -- perfect for pairing with dessert. Now let's talk about the good part... the pastries I tried the jumbo twisted cinnamon donut, a croissant donut, and the chocolate supreme croissant. Every single one was fresh, flavorful, soft on the inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. The flavors were absolutely mouthwatering. The prices were exactly what I expected but I enjoyed the quality and overall it was such an enjoyable dessert experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat in a cozy, inviting spot. To catch up with friends, read, or study. I'll definitely be back!

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

The first bite you knew exactly what you just got ripped off for. The staff, was rude. "The ingredients are flown in from Europe and the cookies are handmade in the city" are you sure? "do you think I'm lying?" With an attitude? Well. Yes. In fact do less. Because if the ingredients are flown in from Europe they should know what they're doing with them because these my dear are from the continental cookie company. But don't bark at me when it's the single most dry cookie I've ever attempted to eat. The raspberry jam was so artificial. For 43.00 a pound at least get GOOD bulk cookies. Because for an employee to be as nasty and defensive but have an answer for everything? Just say you were wrong and move on, nope you wanted to argue. Brunette, glove on, to serve the dry cookies, only to then touch the lids with said glove between. Took cash while wearing glove, made change (23.00 for 5 small cookies and 2 small coffees) and then with the same hand put the cookies in a bag, while with the glove fiddling with stickers to close the bag. 7.50+ each for small coffees (one latte one cappuccino) neither made properly. An amalgamation of crumpled sugar packets that look like they'd been taken from other establishments stuffed in a small tin on the counter. You want to be some form of Parisian patisserie? Pretend better. Over priced and the entire case looks awful and if you're going to employ people who would rather play on their phone than do their job? At least make sure they can be composed. The young blonde was polite and kind throughout, the dark haired employee? Thankyou for telling us you're not the owner, because the owner should really evaluate your customer service. Needless to say we went back in to return the cookies because the one my husband choked down was enough but the abhorrent attitude solidified this being a terrible experience.
