The inspo (only thing I wanted different was the number "20" in the middle)

We went to this bakery about a week before my birthday to request a cake. When showing them the design I wanted, they said they could do it & I showed them the color & piping details I wanted. They agreed and "took note", all was fine. Fast forward to the day of my birthday, the cake is picked up and looks NOTHING like the picture. I understand if maybe the design was difficult, but it wasn't and they had a reference photo!! Colors did not match the picture and what I told them at all. It's a complete job and it looks like they didn't even try to look at the photo I sent. So disappointing and a waste of money, don't recommend.

I drove by the store yesterday and noticed that they sell açaí bowls. I love them and was excited that a local shop sold them. I went there this morning and asked the cashier what was in their bowls. She stated bananas and granola. I'm use to more items coming with the bowls but I decided to order it anyway. The pictures show what I got. I'm highly disappointed with this. Presentation is everything and they failed miserably. I have no idea what the mayo looking stuff is on top and I'm not trying it out. They really should be specific with what's in or on their food because I could be allergic to whatever that is.

Super cute bakery with a lot to offer from cupcakes to mousse to bagels and coffee plus sandwiches and more. A bit of a barrier between the staff and I as the young lady had a hard time hearing over the display case what I asking for, but I didn't want to yell at her either over the counter so she could. Everything looks freshly made and smelled super delicious and amazing. Well worth the not so steep prices for each delicacy.

They also gave us complimentary cookies, which was a nice touch. Staff was friendly, and the café feels clean and well-kept with an in-house bakery setup that you can actually see, which adds to the charm. Overall, a cozy spot I'd definitely recommend.

Over the years, I had always been happy with the quality of the products they sell, but lately the pricing has gotten completely out of hand. We were there this past Saturday for breakfast. We shared a shakshuka and had two mocha coffees in the table area, and my wife also ordered a salmon toast. That was it. Somehow, this breakfast cost as much as four meals we had at an Israeli restaurant in NYC the very next day -- and, by the way, those meals were far superior to anything I've ever had at Liv. While at the NYC restaurant, we noticed they charge only $7 for fresh-squeezed orange juice -- in a larger portion than Liv's $12 glass of OJ. Their shakshuka is also only $16, compared with Liv's $22. And this place is in the heart of NYC, not in suburbia New Jersey. I also used to love getting Liv's cookies and croutons, but those have become expensive beyond reason as well. Two packs of cookies, one crouton, and a mocha coffee came to over $50. Seriously? At this point, it is clear to me that the owner's strategy is to keep raising prices to see how much he can get away with. Well, as far as I'm concerned, I'm done. I will no longer be patronizing this kind of price gouging.

I always love trying something off their seasonal pizza menu; during my most recent visit, I loved their maple bacon pizza, which had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. They don't accept reservations, so expect it to be pretty busy, especially during the weekends. Note that they also only have a limited cold food menu during the off hour between lunch and dinner.

Love going in the warmer weather when they open up the doors and have the bar serving on the patio. And let's face it, if you know anything about Arite's you know that there will always be a wait on the weekends. Having the bar and the patio makes waiting a breeze! The food is seriously better than ever. I actually think the pizza is even better at this new spot than the previous location. The sleeper favorite for me is the maple bacon pizza. Takes the white pie to another level and has become a go to for me. Always, I repeat always, order the meatballs and save the sauce for your pizza crust. The farmers salad is always a must for me as well. No one does a salad like Artie's. Give this place a shot because trust me, you won't be disappointed.
