As someone who has worked in food service for many years myself, I understand that routine hiccups occur. You'd think these employees would be more sympathetic to the exigencies of every day life. We were then seated. I'm 24 years old, turning 25 in about a month, but I guess I look young to some people. I ordered a beer and the same waitress, before my ID even left my hand, said "cmon is this fake?" To which I replied "that's crazy, I'm about to be 25. Do what you need to do to verify it's real." She then said "your attitude isn't helping you out either." They then took my ID for 20 minutes before returning it. I didn't react with attitude, I acted startled and a little bit upset that I was accused of using a fake ID in front of my girlfriend and our friends. Absolutely unprofessional and frankly childish behavior from an adult. She eventually apologized, probably after realizing I would be the one paying the bill. Our food then took an hour to come out. Not trying to be a Karen here, but it was extremely frustrating. Needless to say, I will not be returning here and neither will my friends and family. The Office should consider training their staff to act with etiquette and professionalism when dealing with the people that keep their lights on.
