The chili was good. Everything else...meh. Only came here due to the limited breakfast options. Would not take the kids here again as you can see they barely touched their meals.

I was staying at the local Hyatt photographing a dance weekend there and needed a substantial, reasonably quick dinner on Friday night. Walked over with a friend and got seated immediately. I ordered a Gyro with fries and a black-and-white milkshake to wash it down; she opted for a burger with sweet potato fries and water. We were served very quickly and both our meals were excellent in terms of quantity, food quality and taste. The Gyro was the best I've had in years and the fries were absolutely phenomenal--crispy on the outside and oh-so-soft on the inside. The black and white was also excellent--very thick and creamy. My friend additionally ordered two bagels with Lox for takeout, so she'd have something for breakfast the next two days. She opened one of them for me to see and it looked really excellent. I like a good breakfast so I went back two more times and have to say that they were superb as well, notably one where I ordered a ham and Swiss omelet; at first glance it didn't look like anything special--more like a crepe folded in half, but wow, it was just amazing due to the quality of the meat and cheese, and that it wasn't overcooked like at most diners. The only thing that's not amazing are the toast options; just white, wheat, rye, or gluten free. No English muffin option (I asked). But consider that the cost of the omelet with home-fries, toast, coffee and juice is around $10; well less than any other NJ or Delaware diner I've visited in the last ten years! I should also note that on every visit there I saw a plethora of other people from our event. Note: there's no Wi-Fi at the restaurant and cell reception is marginal unless you sit on either side of the window-sided aisle. Truly a gem of a diner, with great food, wonderful service, and easily cheaper than going to McDonalds.

My husband and I have avoided this diner because we remember it being below average. We always say how it's a shame to have a mediocre diner in such a popular city. We came back and- while I do feel this diner needs some improvements to survive the future of Morristown and the direction it is moving in...this was a better experience. Food is a solid 3 stars: not great, not bad. Probably would only do breakfast and apps here - nothing too fancy or complex. Home fries needed more flavor/spice to them. Scrambled eggs were a bit undercooked. Banana pancakes were fine - a little uncooked in parts. Coffee was weak (but most diner coffee is). People were very nice and everyone had a smile - that was my favorite part. I do wish this diner well.

I liked it here. The waitress was super nice and the service was fast. I got an omelette and had no complaints. My partner got the monte crisco which had a thick layer of cheese on it. Like any other diner it really depends on what you get. The soup was really good though!

    Irish Benedict. Outstanding.! mouthwatering.

Morristown diner brought a delicious meal to me and my daughter. The eggs and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and very delicious. Corn beef hash out of this world and the fried zucchini with. Tomato sauce was outstanding I want more fried zucchini! Our server was quick and attentive. He had a great memory didn't even have to write anything down. I highly recommend this restaurant if I lived local I would order for pick up breakfast luncheon dinner.

This was on very okay. They have a small parking lot or else you'll need to pay for parking nearby. The food is super standard diner food. On the plus side, there are a lot of options. Any sandwich with fries is a sold options. The prices are reasonable. I had a gyro and thought it was fine. It's not like going to an authentic Greek restaurant, but I found it satisfactory. Very saucy. My husband's shrimp scampi didn't come with pasta as he expected. There was a lot of sauce and not a lot of shrimp. The baked potato and broccoli were both not great. Entrees are too risky. I didn't find anything special about this dinner over others but it's decent of you need cheap eats.

Solid diner- has everything you want in a diner. Good price, fast service, and great portions. Morristown Diner is your quintessential Jersey diner. Unassuming, cheap, and welcoming to all. I always go to diners for breakfast and this one doesn't disappoint. In particular their Morristown special- pancakes, heavy portion of bacon, and 1 egg with coffee for less than 10 bucks is a steal. The coffee is bottomless, the pancakes are fluffy, and the bacon is crispy. Are there better places in town? Sure. But nothing hits like a diner and no place will welcome you and your weird food request at any time of day.

No senior discounts. Extra 'fees' for credit card use!

Morristown Diner has delicious burgers. Since I just can not stop exploring and writing reviews: I had to give this quaint, silver-and-red diner a try a few weeks ago. The time I visited (about 3PM) was not the best as just within the next half hour the waiters left work.. Morristown Diner has a shortage of personnel up at the front counter, as the waitress was taking on long over-the-phone call in orders. All the tables in the dining room were anxiously waiting, as was a long line of recently arrived, hungry visitors! This diner can be easily overlooked during the day as the sign for it passes by quick on the road. The food however is expertly prepared and is made fast: usually just within 5 minutes. And the flavors. The 'widow burger' that I ordered as if shaken out of a magician's hat (I wanted to try a niche dish), was really flavorful. More importantly there were no burns on the bread. It was served sizzling and just as ordered. Maybe the slaw was too sweet. Cons (as in, this should not happen at a diner bar-top when a guest is eating): waitresses shouting, kitchen cooks making their own sandwich on the counter, woman counting tips on counter and the really gross busboy wringing-out filthy rags in a bucket on the counter! Review: rough joint, stressed waitress, good food 4

Waitresses are rude and unprofessional. Once food arrived you didn't see your waitress until you was finished eating, very inattentive.

The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Stirling Tavern.

They were of the potato variety. Since they were made to order, they came out piping hot. My thoughts on each are below. The temperature really made a difference as I tried a few bites after they cooled down and it was not the same. All of the donuts were appropriate in size and somehow appeared very light. I wonder if that was attributed to the potato variety. I just could not believe how much the hot temperature made a difference in all four. Original Cinnamon Sugar - This was very good with plenty of sugar present. Raspberry Jam - There was a ton of raspberry jam here and it was great. Nutella - There was an excessive amount of Nutella here and it worked out well with the hot donut texture. It was unreal. Cannoli - This was great too. I really liked the melted chocolate chips in the cannoli cream. Will I go back? Oh, easily.

Verrilli is a charming, hole in the wall bakery with a cozy interior. Although seating is limited inside, they will have a lot of outdoor seating when summer rolls around. There is a small parking lot out front, but may need to street park when it gets busy. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. Getting to the highlight: the potato donuts!! They also have other small desserts like cannoli, cookies, biscotti, and pizza, burgers, fries - all freshly homemade. Anyway, ordered the cinnamon sugar and butter glaze donut, (fresh and best enjoyed hot) and it was so light, fluffy, and not overly sweet!Looking to try their other donuts on the menu!
