Had an amazing work dinner at Town Bar and Kitchen. Downstairs has a bar with adequate seating if you want an intimate meeting. The top floor had our big company dinner. They handed us either red or white wine. The top floor had a personal bar and an amazing looking wine cellar. Ended up getting the shrimp cocktail- I wish there would have been more than 3 shrimp on my plate. I also had the salmon for my entree. I really liked the Asian flavoring that came with this salmon- the bok choy and ginger made this a not to miss dish. I really the barley that was underneath the salmon. It was really delicious. The meal ended with a delicious dessert. I really liked the warmness of the home made donut and the brownie that came with this dessert was delicious.

Stopped by for dinner w my hubby. Have passed the restaurant several times n never caught my eye. Convenient location n nice ambiance. across from Morristown train station. Plenty of paid parking n street parking. Nice chic restaurant w friendly staff. We had the farro salad n lumpia ( pork spring rolls) for appetizers. Farro salad was delicious n flavorful. 7-8 lumpia w a tasty dipping sauce was good too. I had the birria beef empanada as my entree. And we also had caccio e peppe fiocchi - pear n cheese stuffed pasta. Hmm it was different but tasted good. A lil on the heavy side but the portion was good that one wasn't too stuffed. There were 2 birria beef empanadas. Quite big b very flavorful w a nice sauce- avocado creams. Topped it off n shared a Cookie Monster . Cookie was a lil hard but it was good. Tx u for a great dinner.

Stopped in for dinner at the bar around 5:45pm on a weeknight. I figured I was beating the rush but was surprised that the restaurant never filled in. The few groups I saw, all had reservations upstairs and by the time I left around 7pm, I was still the only person downstairs and at the bar. The bartender was friendly and took great care of me but I felt bad for her since I was one of her only customers all night. It seemed like the manager and some employees had some disagreements during my dinner, which was awkward. I loved the happy hour flight options and really enjoyed mine. For my dinner, I went with the pan roasted duck, and I loved it. It was cooked perfectly and the sides accompanied the dish well. Overall, the place looks so cool and the food was great. The atmosphere and vibe was a disappointment and I'm confused why it was so dead.

Perfect place for catching up over happy hour! Delicious food and drinks. The truffle fries were crispy and hot. My favorite was the lobster Mac and cheese which had the perfect amount of cheese, lobster, and mac! The portion size was good for one to two people. For drinks, I got the Purple Rain which was well-made and strong. Definitely worth the price! Service was fast and staff checked on my group often. The food came out faster than expected They have ample seating and take advantage of the outdoor space in nice weather. They also have a rooftop seating area that can be reserved for private events.

Wifey and I had a date night recently and she made reservations at Town Bar and Kitchen in Morristown. The place was pretty empty when we first got there so we were seated right away. Our waiter (who was excellent all night) quickly took our drink orders and by the time he came back we were ready to order. We divided to start with the Coccoli with Stracchino & Prosciutto - an absolute home run of fried pizza dough with a spreadable cheese and Prosciutto di Parma. For our entrees Wifey got the short ribs with peas, mushrooms and a pea purée and I had the grilled ribeye (which came sliced) with crispy fried leeks and a smear of mashed potatoes. The tastes and the plating were excellent...clearly chef has his/her creativity flowing here. We were both pretty stuffed so we passed on dessert (though the menu looked amazing). Overall a very nice evening. One thing did leave a bit of a bad taste for us however...While we were initially slightly annoyed at having to take an early reservation because they were 'booked solid' they actually weren't and by the time we left they weren't even close to capacity - so the mild annoyance kicked up a notch. Other than that it was a great meal and a nice night out with Wifey.

No doubt TBK has an absolutely stunning bar which you can see as soon as you enter. It is quite a sight. Its a different but equally beautiful view from the second floor as well where you also have the option to do indoor or outdoor seating. We came here for hubster's bday and Gabby, who was our server that day, was just phenomenal. She was very friendly, polite and knew just exactly what we wanted - Even gave me a great drink recommendation. We started off with some delicious and slightly spicy calamari. First time having it with pineapple and it was actually good. The tuna tartar was fresh and the empanada was filling. For entrees, I got the Flank steak. It was good but I was expecting it to be a little more tender. We also got caesar salad and Tagliatelle bolognese which the family says was also good. My favorite part was the Banoffie Pie. It was definitely a sweet ending. The Zeppolies were a little dry and crumbly and not exactly to my liking. Despite that, we still had a good time. The entree portions, by the way, were on the smaller side but since they tasted good there really wasnt much to complain about. Glad we gave this place a go.

The food and drinks are amazing. Service was impeccable. All the dishes we had tasted incredible; almost unexpected. In other words, the tuna tartare, doesn't taste like the usual at other restaurants, it's complemented. The octopus... ridiculous. Duck breast... probably the best duck I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

Braise short ribs in a tomato-based sauce with pasta
    Michael J.

My experience was pleasant it was Easter Sunday, I was out on my motorcycle after visiting a friend that was suffering from cancer. I wanted to stop someplace and have something light to eat, I ended up having half a dozen oysters and braise short ribs in a tomato-based sauce with pasta I did some wine pairing with my meals I had a Riesling with the oysters and I had a cloudline Pinot noir from Oregon... Which paired wonderfully with the braids short ribs being that it was very subtle and light on a pallet and finished without any aftertaste. My only complaint is the young female service hanging out at the end of the bar being very chatty you could hear them over the customers in a place. In a place with a minimalist design such as the town bar and kitchen, the server should not be hanging out at the end the bar and being very chatty.

Sautéed shrimp over saffron risotto. $34.
    Keith G.

Good food. Inattentive service and slow kitchen Trendy space and loud, mostly due to acoustics and folks shouting over each other. Tried the Old Bay Fries - Would not recommend. Tasted like a half-container of Old Bay dumped on them. Shrimp were just okay, over a saffron risotto. Not a great value at $34. Skipped dessert only due to excruciatingly slow service.

The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Stirling Tavern.

From the moment we arrived, the entrance was a standout disguised as a regular laundromat with a bouncer outside. The door itself was cleverly hidden, blending in as a regular washing machine, and if you weren't in the know, you'd probably miss it entirely. Once inside, we descended into a spacious area with two bar stations and a stage set up for live music, which gave the place an exciting, eclectic vibe. Since it was our first time, we asked for the cocktail menu and were fortunate to have Dan as our bartender, easily one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. His drink-making skills were on another level, and we immediately struck up a great conversation. Dan started us off with some unique choices from the menu. I tried the Smoked Apple Fashion, which was incredibly smooth with a crisp apple flavor and a subtle smoky finish. It was so easy to drink almost too easy! My girlfriend ordered the Gangnam Style, which was visually stunning with boba pearls, though not very strong if you're after a more potent drink. Next, I had the Cider House Mule, and it was hands-down the best mule I've ever tasted. They swapped out the typical vodka for spiced rum, and it was a game changer bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. This is when things started to get really fun. Dan, seeing that we were enjoying ourselves, began crafting custom drinks for us, starting with Dan's Malibu Special for my girlfriend. She loves Malibu, and this drink was fruity, smooth, and delicious. It was so good, I had to order one for myself. Dan recommended adding a shot of tequila to give it a bit more kick, and he wasn't wrong this was next-level good. Honestly, Dan's Malibu Special needs to be a permanent item on their menu. It's that good and would definitely be a hit. Dan then served up a Peanut Noir Old Fashioned. I know I know, peanut in a cocktail sounds odd, but it was incredible! I was blown away by how well the peanut flavor worked in an Old Fashioned. It was one of those drinks that make you question why you haven't had something like it before. Dan mentioned that unlike many places that use store bought ingredients, they make a lot of their mixers and components from scratch. For instance, their ginger root is muddled fresh for mules rather than relying on ginger beer, which really makes a difference in flavor and freshness. Following that, I tried a Chocolate Old Fashioned, which, while still very smooth, was probably the weakest of the Old Fashioneds I had that night, but it still went down easy. By this point, I was starting to feel the effects of all these fantastic cocktails, especially since I hadn't eaten all day! I ended my night with a Summer Old Fashioned, garnished with either rosemary or thyme (I can never tell the difference). It had that signature smoothness Dan brought to all his Old Fashioneds and was a perfect end to the night. The ambiance of The Laundromat was fantastic. It had a lively yet relaxed feel, with a mixed crowd of both older and younger patrons. Sports were playing on the TVs, and you could tell the energy would pick up even more when the live music kicked off around 7:30. Unfortunately, we had to leave before that to grab some food (after all that drinking, I needed something in my stomach!). Thankfully, I had the foresight to take a Lyft to The Laundromat, easily the best decision of the night. Overall, The Laundromat is an absolute gem. The drinks were some of the best I've ever had, the conversation with Dan was great, and the atmosphere was perfect for a fun, laid-back night out. I'll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable cocktail experience.

Despite this, the manager refused to provide our party with the brunch menu and insisted we order from the regular menu, even after we politely requested otherwise. It later became clear that this decision was based on the size of our party rather than an actual menu policy. The manager repeatedly claimed that brunch ended earlier than what was printed on the menu, which was confusing and inconsistent. After unnecessary back and forth, the chef ultimately approved our ability to order from the brunch menu, confirming that this was not a kitchen issue. This was especially disappointing as we were celebrating my son's birthday, and what should have been a pleasant occasion was unnecessarily stressful. The manager's approach was unprofessional, dismissive, and confrontational. In contrast, our waiter was excellent. He was attentive, courteous, and did everything possible to make the experience positive despite the circumstances.
