a pink cocktail with a slice of orange

Had such a great time at Madison Wine & Tap in Madison, NJ! We stopped in for happy hour and everything was on point, the wings were flavorful and perfectly cooked, the caprese was fresh and delicious, and the cosmo was so good. The HH menu is fairly priced, which makes it even better. Great vibes, great bites, and definitely a spot we'll be back to!

Sat at the bar to dine. Johnny served us and was very polite. The food we ordered was very good and consistent. Tried the tuna tartare -- fresh and great with the wonton chips provided. Hamachi crudo -- fresh and also delicious (probably could be sliced thinner or chopped to better the experience of the texture). Second, we had the tagliatelle -- great portion to be shared and good flavor profiles; it was subtle but tasty. For mains, the black bass -- cooked well and another good portion size. I liked the creativity of the dish pairing, thought the okra went nicely. Also, the burger -- loved the french fries, and the tile fish which was subtle but also very good. Cocktails were sufficient. We didn't order anything spectacular. We also didn't order any steak; I was steered away from that. Overall a good food experience and I think worth dining.

Stopped by for happy hour and had a great time! I ordered a cocktail that was really well-made -- balanced, flavorful, and just what I was hoping for. The food items we tried were also very good, definitely above the usual bar fare. We stood at the bar for a while, and although the vibe was lively, it did get a little crowded after some time. Still, the atmosphere was fun and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid spot for happy hour.

you haven't been to @madisonwineandtap it should be next on your list. We stopped in here to check out the bar room and the wine menu and were super impressed with how busy it was, the menu, and the desserts.... The pastry chef is incredible, don't miss out; we ordered the bread pudding and it was great

-EDIT- They heard me because today I walked into my favorite establishment and I saw it on the menu. CALAMARI. And honestly, it was better than before. A rich tomato style (I've never experienced before). Breathtakingly fresh and amazing. Thank you Wine and Tap Room.

Outstanding hole in the wall wine bar with delicious appetizers and food options. Service is always helpful in selecting a wine and finding an entree to pair it with. A must try spot and one of my go-to places in Madison!

The Madison wine and tap room is a great addition to the downtown Madison. It is located behind the walgreens with ample of parking. When I went I made a reservation and they needed it since they were busy, the second time a reservation wasn't really needed. In the front there are a bunch of items to pick up for take out with some fresh pasta, cookies, sandwiches. In the back there is a restaurant and bar. The pizzas are amazing ! We really enjoyed it here. I went again for brunch and I will say the brunch was subpar. The service and the food was just average. Overall Id recommend this place especially for lunch and dinner!

I really love this restaurant and bar. The service if very friendly, the food it top notch and the price points are fair. It's always crowded and understandably so. The desserts are in house by a pastry chef and there crème brûlée is top notch. Very deserving of five stars.

New to town, and maybe just what we needed! Attached to the Madison Market, this sleek and sophisticated space allows you to get together with friends, family, coworkers and more for all kinds of drinks or food. The ambiance is great and there are some screens that offer sports viewing. There are over 25 wines for you to pick from, and you can pick how big your pour is, so ypu can try several! 1 oz, 3 oz or 6 oz. The wine bottles are loaded into machines so the pours seem to be aerated a little more than usual, pretty cool! I actually started witj a cocktail on my first visit- the Rose City was delightful! I am recommending it to all of my friends in the area. My only criticisms are that not all of the wines available on their menu are sold at the Madison Market, even though they have a lot for sale - and I went on a Tuesday and their "small plates" menu was much smaller than usual. I need to come back to try their food!!

Stepped into a packed entryway and bar area. Gave my name and was told the wait was 30-40 minutes. My associate was running late so all good. I thought that the buzz in the room was a great sign for what was to come but I was wrong. The room was electric. The service was friendly and attentive but the food? Just meh. I wanted to like it but it was bland and underwhelming. I ordered the Crabcake Sandwich (as recommended) and my guest ordered the Club Sandwich. Both were mid. Even the fries (both the regular and the sweet potato fries) were nothing special. Super disappointed in a local "hot spot", and left wondering why?

On a Saturday at noon, our party of 3 was sat indoors immediately. I'd say the place was 80-90% full. They had wraps, soups, salads, and burgers on the menu. It's worth observing that there were no specials on offer. It's not that kind of place. I liked the crabby waffle fries, even if the seasoning was pretty heavy. My chicken Caesar wrap was crouton-forward. It was nice, but I wish it'd been more chicken and parm heavy. Our table split some onion rings that had absolutely dangerously tasty breading and almost no onions. The vibe inside was that of satisfied, talkative guests. All in all, I'd call Bottle Hill a place to grab a casual meal that won't disappoint.

While the aesthetic has a hipster edge to it, let's be clear: this is not a place where you get a cheap bucket of beer served by a pretentious, disinterested bartender. It is a haven for people who truly appreciate exceptional spirits. They distill incredibly high-quality, rare spirits right on-site, and the innovation and quality show in every glass. It is obvious that an immense amount of thought, care, and consideration goes into the flavor profiles of both their unique creations and their brilliant takes on classics. The drinks are pricey, but it's worth it for the premium experience. Their rum old fashioned is a personal favorite -- a truly innovative take on a timeless cocktail. For those who abstain from alcoholic beverages -- they do have a handful of tasty mocktails available. What elevates the experience even further is the exceptional service behind the rail. Instead of the indifferent attitude you get at some trendy spots, the team here is welcoming and highly engaged. They take the time to ask about your flavor preferences to recommend the perfect drink. The space can get quite loud and high-energy -- especially when multiple lively groups or bachelorette parties are overlapping -- so be prepared for the cacophony. Even so, for phenomenal cocktails and incredible service, this place is unmatched! If you want a masterfully crafted drink in an unforgettable, high-energy setting, this is the spot. You do get a free cigar (which is actually a pretty nice, brand name stick in most cases) with your meal, which I am sure goes with the cost. Before the world went utterly insane with inflation ... It used to be one of the best deals ever. The food was $12.95 plus the free cigar! Now, it's more like $23 per sandwich. Owch. The best value was the cheese plate, which at $15 was huge and included fruit. Now, that cheese platter is actually smaller than it used to be and costs $44! The decor is pretty cool ... dark and moody ... but there are a couple TVs with sports playing and high ceilings. The air purification makes it smell a lot less like cigar smoke than it used to ... but know that whatever clothes you wear here will likely need a dry cleaning after. The waitresses have been here forever ... and there are a lot of regulars. Imagine what a guy would look like that would want to smoke a cigar while eating and that's exactly what you will find here as a customer. Fake Sopramos accent ... beefy ... loud ... gold chain ... It's a 'bro crowd' for sure with some flashy investment banker types mixed in. Lots of Hummers and G-Wagons in the parking lot. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves cigars. The food is edible and in some cases even good. But nothing amazing. I've had the corned beef sandwich ... don't expect NYC deli quality ... the flatbread (Trader Joe's is just as good) ... and the Cuban sandwich. All okay. The Cuban left me hungry. You can also eat at the bar and peruse their extensive whiskey and beer menu. The drinks are pricey, so a sandwich, a beer ... and I guess you could count the free cigar ... come to around $40, after tip.
