Calamari and lamb chop lollipops, delicious!
    Cassie C.

What a cute spot! Plenty of seating indoor or outdoors. The bartender, Thomas, was informative and friendly! As per his recommendation we split 2 Apps, the lamb chop lollipops and the calamari. We also shared the mushroom bisque soup. It was all very good. The drink options were plentiful and made perfectly. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return.

Service was attentive (we were the only ones in the place because of snow!) and the brunch food was tasty. The zeppole at the end were a big hit, though they were more like beignets than traditional zeppole. The short rib hash was really just strings of short rib with their chunky breakfast potatoes, but the short rib was tender.

Tiramisu Brownie... it works so well. Brownie is decadent and moist and totally compliments the lady fingers which are soft and not dry.

Absolutely Stunning! Wait until the Michelin guide hears about this place! We stumbled into Providence Bar & Kitchen rather randomly, expecting a trap rock experience, which is to say decent fare. How surprised were we when were treated to a Le Bernadin class of experience. Their menu is extensive, with each item conceptualized and executed to perfection. No detail overlooked, with each ingredient fresh, and expertly put together. I would not be surprised if there were taste tastes upon taste tests to get it exactly right prior to offering the dish to market. I have had swordfish with seasoning which revolutionized the dish here. Octopus, never chewy, expertly prepared. The wine list isn't just sommelier curated but picked to give the patron a new experience, a new take on what they had already tried. Overall, it is hard to be surprised with a dining experience given the option, but this place absolutely nailed it. Service was top notch. Giovanni understood the art of catering and making an experience truly elevated. The staff behind this pace is other level.

Bread and spread before meal (eh-pass)

The food is pretty good here and they have a good selection on the menu. Was not a big fan of the bread and spread they give you before the meal. The fried calamari app was very good. I enjoyed the lamb shank better than the short rib on the night we went. I will come back to try some other dishes

Had an enjoyable meal here celebrating my wife's birthday. The service was spot on - cool, pleasant, knowledgeable wait staff. There was live music from a pianist that was perfect. Tried their NY Sour cocktail, which is a bourbon sour topped with red wine - interesting. We ordered the calamari to share; they were happy to adjust the order to remove the peppers for the kids. The octopus app was tender and delicious. My wife enjoyed her mushroom bisque. The kids got the pasta - clam liguine and pasta bolognese - large plates, next day leftovers! I liked the branzino. Dessert, we shared the crème brûlée that was smooth and creamy. I would like to come back and try their happy hour.

Amazing little gem. Great service. Excellent seasonal menu. All the seafood we had was super fresh. The yellow fin tuna tartar was amazing. We sat outside and it was perfect. The owner was there tonight and talked with us. Such a nice guy. We will be back! Support small businesses!

Superb eatery with a flair of its own. The pork chop entree is the tastiest I've ever had. Good service as well.

Had dinner at the restaurant, but the only option for a vegetarian/vegan was salad. They were willing to make pasta primavera. You should have more healthy options. Quinoa, whole grains. Will you be planning on adding more dishes for vegetarians?

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

The menu changes daily so don't go back expecting to get the same thing you ordered the last time. To be quite honest of all the items I ordered two did not stand out although sounding promising The lobster roll, the bread was mediocre and the filling was scarce. The pizzette was also ehhh. Nothing impressionable. However the oysters, fully dressed and ready for consumption were pops of freshness and flavorful jellies exploding in your mouth. The corn was a nice touch. The mussels were in this sauce that was to die for. Full of garlic and creaminess paired with about 3 slices of sourdough bread perfect for soaking. The crostini appetizer, drooling thinking about it. Prosciutto with honey and mozzarella is the best combination.now for the chicken Milanese. Perfectly crisp with tomatoes I'm not sure what they put in the salad but delicious! Overall it's worth a happy hour with great deals. And even the dinner entrees are worth the visit. My old phone was taking blurry pics from far away so I wasn't able to capture it, but think very cozy, fireplace with candles glowing from within, and little alcoves in the wall for candle clusters. It was perfectly elevated while still being casual and approachable. When we came there was a Mac and cheese special with pulled bbq pork on top. I knew we had to get that because it is right up my husbands alley. It did not disappoint, my husband was tempted to order some to take home! The pasta was super creamy and cheesy, mixed with the roasted pulled smoky bbq pork on top, it was the ultimate comfort food for the cold rainy day we were having. For my meal I got the Grilled Cheese which is more of an elevated "grown up" grilled cheese. It had cheese, thin apple slices, fig jam and bacon. The flavors were great, I only wish there was a little more cheese or a little less jam to balance the sweet and savory a little more, because for me it was a touch too sweet. The sourdough it was made with was delicious and fresh, I also appreciate that they don't seem to soak their grilled cheese in oil like a lot of places do (butter or nothing, please!!) My husband ordered the burger which he really enjoyed but nothing was going to top the pulled pork Mac and cheese for him. They should consider adding it to the regular menu! He originally wanted the duck sandwich but it was unavailable on this day. All in all it was a cozy afternoon together. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us without ever being too overbearing.

Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment from the moment we arrived. We were the only people there, yet the floor around our table was dirty with old Goldfish crackers and blueberries. We ordered the banana bread appetizer, an egg tortilla bowl, a western omelet, and two kids' waffles. The banana bread appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our food arrived, and everything was ice cold. The breakfast potatoes tasted old, as if they had been made the day before. While it wasn't ideal, we tried to be understanding since it was a holiday and the staff may have been overwhelmed. The highlight of the meal was the fresh-squeezed orange juice that we enjoyed with our BYOB champagne. However, no one checked on our table during the meal, and I eventually had to stop someone just to ask for the check. When reviewing the bill, I realized the kids' waffles seemed more expensive than expected. Sure enough, we had been overcharged for each one. When I politely questioned it, I was told, "That's the price in our register," and the staff gave me a hard time about correcting it. After asking again, they reluctantly handed me cash for the difference. The waitress was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. Overall, it was such a disappointing experience, especially compared to how much we enjoyed it last year. Sadly, we'll be choosing a different spot for Mother's Day brunch next year.

Worst dining experience I've had in a long time--if not ever…read more To start, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Our waitress was just fine, but it was clear she lacked proper training in basic service and restaurant etiquette. Honestly I don't think she wanted to be there, was wearing sweatpants and could barely hear her when she spoke. The issues with the food began right away. I ordered a fruit cup for my son and was initially told they didn't have fruit--despite it being listed on the menu. After pointing that out, it was brought to the table, but the fruit was clearly spoiled, especially the strawberries. They had tried to cut around the rotten parts, which was honestly disgusting and concerning given this was being served to a 2-year-old. We immediately sent it back. I ordered a burger with sautéed onions, but it came out with just a few small slivers of what turned out to be pickled onions instead. The burger itself looked incredibly lackluster. I ended up sending it back and, at that point, was completely turned off from ordering anything else. I also wasn't asked if I'd like to order a replacement, there was no apology, no accountability, just a blank stare while the plate was taken away. To make matters worse, we were still charged $6 for the fries that came with the burger, which my son had started eating before I sent it back. I hadn't taken a single bite of the actual meal. My husband's "Kobe beef" sliders came with bacon that was completely inedible, so he had to remove it. My mom ordered eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon but received regular (inedible) bacon instead, and my father's meal was served cold. Overall, the quality of the food across the table was just poor. The bathrooms were also in rough condition. The women's toilet seat was loose and coming off the hinges, I nearly fell. The bill came to $146 after tip, which felt like a complete waste given the experience. Afterward, we actually drove across the street so I could grab chicken soup elsewhere because I left hungry. This was our second time giving this place a chance, and unfortunately, it will be our last.
