    Sweet Potato Mash

The Sweet Potato Mash is made with vinegar. Probably the most disgusting thing Thats ever touched my tongue. Everything else was very good though.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night. Parking was a little tricky but we ended up finding a good spot. We went to the barbecue section in the back of the restaurant, as soon as you walk into your right, there's an order station that accepts cash and card. You grab a menu and browse through till ur ready then return them in the basket. When you order your food, they give you a buzzer and you can choose to either pick a seat in the enormous backyard area or walk yourself to the bar right across and order a drink, soda, alcohol, water, they have everything. When your buzzer rings you're going to walk over to the bar area and on the side is where they will hand your tray of food. There's a selection of napkins and sauces under the tent. The food was great and the service was well. This is definitely a place to bring a family and children. Weather was beautiful, no bugs.

Iconic setting that is part Western saloon part ski lodge and extra cozy dining. The smokehouse outback is open in warm seasons and always delivers the best ribs around! We went for a Saturday dinner at 6pm and the wait was a half hour but it was totally worth it. We grabbed drinks on the outdoor patio by the fire and under heaters and by the time we were finishing our drink our table was ready. We had the prime rib and ribs and fish and chips. The food was phenomenally good. I've also had the Tavern Burger and it was great. Their fries are not my kind of fry as it has the batter on it but that's my only complaint. Can't wait to go back!

I came here a few weeks ago with my buddy, he enjoyed it so much he told me he went back later that day! Food: I ended up going with a truffle burger which was perfectly done. The truffle mayo and tossed greens in the burger complimented the patty and bacon well and made it wonderfully delectable. My buddy got some voodoo rub wings (not pictured) which were amazing as well. Aesthetic: there is so much to unpack about this place. The hotel itself is a beautiful, wood paneled interior building with a nice rustic appeal, but the outdoor area which I did not experience seems to be the biggest draw of the place. It is a gorgeous place to have a nice meal. Service: our server was on top of everything and quick with our orders.

My wife and I absolutely love coming here--it's become one of our favorite spots to unwind and enjoy an amazing meal together. The food is consistently delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making every visit feel special. The staff always go above and beyond with friendly, attentive service. Whether it's a date night or just a quick bite, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Amazing experience here I came here to do a tasting promoting Bacardi signature drinks here and the staff was amazing. The food was incredible. Not to mention they had a concert in the beer garden. Can't wait to be back. Very welcoming ambience.

Confusing. Came for the BBQ. Hotel restaurant opens at 11:30, the separate BBQ space does not. In fact no one knew exactly when the outdoor BBQ opened. Spoke with no less than 5 staffers and got 5 different answers. Had drinks, lunch, left in the late afternoon and still no BBQ. Oh well. The grounds do kinda look amazing and spacious with several well stationed areas for outdoor dinning. Beers are all local brewed and the food was very good. Wings were HUGE, first was in very disappointing and dry however all the rest were juicy and flavorful. Mac n cheese was on point and the star was the blueberry and peach cobbler: sweet, tart and that vanilla ice cream balanced it all out. There is a ton of staff here and they looked very busy but wasn't actually sure what most were actually doing as we waited fairly long to be served. I understand the BBQ just recently opened last week so perhaps there's a learning curve to be had.

First time here, and I'm not sure why? Came for brunch with friends. We met under the outside tent in the backyard which was huge, for some cocktails before heading inside to eat. I was amazed by the size of the property, they had a barbecue hut outside, you could smell the smoker going. A band setting up, tented seating area, grass areas with seats with umbrellas, picnic tables, families were laying down blankets for young kids to sit on. There was corn hole & a ping pong table (this I didn't see) As we headed inside to eat, we walked through another covered outside patio (I'm assuming for the restaurant fare?) there was regular seating & bar seating (which we preferred since lacrosse was on tv) The brunch menu had something for everyone. We had clams and the pretzel to start. Then we chose crab cake benny, tavern burger and the biggest black bean burger that I have ever seen! All were delicious. Server was great. We paid and took our beverages back outside to listen to the band for a little bit. Definitely will return- with a bunch of people!!

    Welcome home.

It is a very nice restaurant; Large, but not overbearing. I could see going here either on date night, or with 2 more couples. Our server Patrick was fantastic from the beginning of the night, straight through to the end. He was friendly, and very efficient. Chef/owner Scott came out from the kitchen to greet us and other patrons, and was gracious to everyone. Onto the food. The Duck Tacos and Mussels were very tasty. I think I might put a call into Chef and have him make me a bottle of that Mussels sauce to take home with me. Then came the crisp Caesar Salad, which kept everything bright. To finish, we had the Black Cod and Duck Confit, both of which were very well balanced and cooked perfectly. Oh, and the Guava-glazed Brussels Sprouts were a perfect side. Next time, I want to try one or two of their desserts. All-in-all, we had a great experience, and the night was a success. Chef, see you soon. I might just bring a large mason jar for some sauce!..

Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment from the moment we arrived. We were the only people there, yet the floor around our table was dirty with old Goldfish crackers and blueberries. We ordered the banana bread appetizer, an egg tortilla bowl, a western omelet, and two kids' waffles. The banana bread appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our food arrived, and everything was ice cold. The breakfast potatoes tasted old, as if they had been made the day before. While it wasn't ideal, we tried to be understanding since it was a holiday and the staff may have been overwhelmed. The highlight of the meal was the fresh-squeezed orange juice that we enjoyed with our BYOB champagne. However, no one checked on our table during the meal, and I eventually had to stop someone just to ask for the check. When reviewing the bill, I realized the kids' waffles seemed more expensive than expected. Sure enough, we had been overcharged for each one. When I politely questioned it, I was told, "That's the price in our register," and the staff gave me a hard time about correcting it. After asking again, they reluctantly handed me cash for the difference. The waitress was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. Overall, it was such a disappointing experience, especially compared to how much we enjoyed it last year. Sadly, we'll be choosing a different spot for Mother's Day brunch next year.

Worst dining experience I've had in a long time--if not ever…read more To start, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Our waitress was just fine, but it was clear she lacked proper training in basic service and restaurant etiquette. Honestly I don't think she wanted to be there, was wearing sweatpants and could barely hear her when she spoke. The issues with the food began right away. I ordered a fruit cup for my son and was initially told they didn't have fruit--despite it being listed on the menu. After pointing that out, it was brought to the table, but the fruit was clearly spoiled, especially the strawberries. They had tried to cut around the rotten parts, which was honestly disgusting and concerning given this was being served to a 2-year-old. We immediately sent it back. I ordered a burger with sautéed onions, but it came out with just a few small slivers of what turned out to be pickled onions instead. The burger itself looked incredibly lackluster. I ended up sending it back and, at that point, was completely turned off from ordering anything else. I also wasn't asked if I'd like to order a replacement, there was no apology, no accountability, just a blank stare while the plate was taken away. To make matters worse, we were still charged $6 for the fries that came with the burger, which my son had started eating before I sent it back. I hadn't taken a single bite of the actual meal. My husband's "Kobe beef" sliders came with bacon that was completely inedible, so he had to remove it. My mom ordered eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon but received regular (inedible) bacon instead, and my father's meal was served cold. Overall, the quality of the food across the table was just poor. The bathrooms were also in rough condition. The women's toilet seat was loose and coming off the hinges, I nearly fell. The bill came to $146 after tip, which felt like a complete waste given the experience. Afterward, we actually drove across the street so I could grab chicken soup elsewhere because I left hungry. This was our second time giving this place a chance, and unfortunately, it will be our last.

Originally, we planned to stop at a coffee shop to relax and wait for the traffic to ease. However, when we drove past this restaurant, we decided to check it out instead. The gentleman who seated us was super friendly. Our server, Theressa J., was equally warm, and professional. We weren't hungry at all. My husband ordered the Crispy Fritto Misto as an appetizer. I couldn't resist ordering the three-course meal, which included tuna and salmon poke to start, followed by lobster tail gnocchi and bread pudding for dessert. Since I wasn't hungry, I ended up taking most of my entrée and my dessert home. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we're so glad we decided to give this restaurant a try. By the time we finished dinner and got back on the road, the traffic had eased considerably. Needless to say, we went home happy!

The French fries were also a huge disappointment because in our opinion, fresh fries were mixed in with leftover fries from an earlier service. I left a few messages for The DB Restaurant Group for a comment but nothing this far. David Burke, My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting The Red Horse and Saturday the 4th after our township Lebanon Parade. Similar to last year we also took advantage of your Cheeseburger Holiday special ($17.76 and $20.26) both nice values. Last year the cheeseburgers were cooked perfect to our liking, Medium Rare (posted on Yelp 5 stars). This year very disappointed, we asked for Medium Rare and instead it was served Medium Well/Well and the fries were not fresh. She actually felt so bad by the level of service she was providing that she comped our dessert. The food took a long time to arrive. Our plates weren't cleared between courses. Our water glasses were never refilled. No one ever asked if our food was O.K. The first wine we chose was "unavailable."We were never given a dessert menu- we had to ask for one. We had to endure this ordeal for two hours- it took close to 20 minutes just to get the check. All this could be overlooked if the food was good but it was not. Cauliflower appetizer was undercooked and overly spiced. Chicken parm meatballs were dry. Halibut smelled very fishy which is usually not a good sign - which proved to be true. Short ribs were fatty, chewy and one dimensional and sat on a bed of vegetables that consisted of potatoes, corn, tomatoes and other unidentifiable vegetables all in an unappetizing color brown. (Those were left untouched). Some gravy or wine reduction might have helped but it was all served dry. The best dish was a side of mashed potatoes which were buttery, creamy and well-seasoned- they would have made a great bed for the short ribs to sit on instead of those sad vegetables. The Funfetti donut sundae was good. The most positive comment I can make is that they didn't rush us out! To pay as much as we did for food and service that was mediocre at best was disappointing- we will not be going back.
