Stopped in to visit our friend who manages this location. Addams is easily one of my preferred harvest restaurant locations. Downside would be there is only paid parking nearby. The inside opens up to a large bar with high ceilings and a giant fire place. There is an upstairs as well and seating in the back that lets you see the wood fired ovens. We ordered the clam chowder, wings, and pork belly bao buns. The chowder was packed with clams and maybe needed a tiny bit more salt but was filling. The wings came out as all flats which was a huge plus as I'm not too big of a fan of drumsticks. The pork belly bao buns were easily the best thing I've had and was so shocked about the flavor mix and how delicious they were. The Bao buns weren't doughy at all and had the perfect texture. We weren't here for Mother's Day 2026. Great ambience kind of slow service. I ordered the clam chowder cup. It was very tasty and we ordered some appetizers. Also very tasty. In one of the apps we found a piece of hair. The manager was kind enough to comp all the appetizers that we had. Saved save us some money. I ordered the harvest omelette and I have to tell you for a three egg omelette. This was a pretty shabby excuse for an omelette. Didn't have much of a taste and was tiny in size. No way this could be three eggs. Overall, I would say this is a pretty good place to have dinner or lunch. I just think it's very high priced of restaurant in Westfield. A friend and I went to Addams Tavern on a Saturday night to celebrate her birthday and had a great experience! We were put on a waitlist so I'd recommend making one prior to going. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating but seems to get busy. We ended up being seated later in the night around 8 and it was pretty empty as the night went on. We both got burgers and tried two appetizers - the burrata cheese while came with sourdough and figs, and their biscuits with a honey butter. Both appetizers were good, could have used a little more flavor but were comforting and tasty. The fig jam added good flavor to the burrata and bread which were pretty mild. We both were surprisingly full by the time we got to our burgers. The burger was solid and came with fries which were pretty good as well. Overall, we had a solid experience here. Addams Tavern is a nice place to go for a cozy night out, not too loud, with solid food, although pricy so make sure it's in your budget (we got some of the less expensive picks on the menu and it came out $60ish per person). We went to Addams Tavern in Westfield on a Saturday night for a date night, and honestly, it didn't live up to the hype. The place came highly recommended, which made it more surprising that so much of what we wanted to order wasn't available. We started with appetizers and a shared salad, but when we asked for the smoked wings and cheddar biscuits, two items people had said were must-haves, we were told they were out. So, we pivoted and went with spring rolls, which were actually solid for a non-Asian restaurant, a Caesar salad, roasted Brussels sprouts with grapes, and macaroni and cheese that tasted like Velveeta Shells instead of the kind of gourmet version you'd expect at a place like this. The food itself was fine, but being out of what they're supposedly known for took the air out of the night. Service was kind but slow, and coordination and tempo wasn't great, we didn't find out some of our items were unavailable until long after ordering. The atmosphere was lively, classic Saturday night crowd, but the overall experience just didn't click. While we made the best of it, we ended up cutting the night short, having one round with dinner, and then moving our bar tab to another spot to finish the evening. Addams Tavern feels like it could be great if it were managed and stocked more consistently, but as it stands, it's a three-star experience at best. A local favorite tucked in Westfield downtown, which always seems busy during dinnertime. I love that there's a seasonal menu that changes, and there a board near the front that describes all the local farms that they source their ingredients from. During my last visit, it was about a ~15 min wait and instead of a waitlist, the restaurant just places you in a reservation spot on Resy, so check for that ahead of time. Dinner was delicious - a bit on the pricey end, but felt elevated overall. I particularly enjoyed the fried zucchini blossoms and wings. I also recently learned that Addams Tavern is owned by Harvest Restaurants group (the same group that runs Agricola, Roots, and others across NJ), and it definitely lives up to it's reputation for hospitality and food. read more

Hospitality continues to be a detriment to their success here. With reservations made a week ago for a birthday, 15 year old looking David Hasselholf gives us a look as if we just walked in asking for a table. Clearly there are booths available to accommodate us - not just the one sitting right by the entrance. His sidekick wasn't any brighter. Their facial gestures and attitude set the tone. Our cigarette smoking server was ok at best but not very inviting. This place looks like they hired summer interns to fill open reqs. Table settings were missing, some confused looking busboy asking if we want to keep the fork. Dude, just take it and give us a new one. What's wrong with you? It's not hard. Lastly, the food sucked. I recall one take out experience being amazing but this time around - absolute garbage. Two steaks asked for medium rare and medium were nuked. They took it off the bill but it was too late. We just stopped in for a drink on the Wednesday tour of Addams Fest. The bar was very busy for a Wednesday night at 7:30 IMO but good for them. We had to stand with a counter spot because all of the bar seats were taken but that's okay. I was able to get the attention of the bartender quickly and asked what the special drink was of the night. He informed me it was a pumpkin spice latte martini which sounded quite yummy. Ate there last night, table for two. We got there 10 minutes before our Saturday night reservation, it was very busy, and the bar area was crowded. We were seated about 4 minutes after our res time so no problem. The food was mostly really good, but some misses. We started with the Just Baked Cheddar Biscuits with maple butter which were phenomenal. Light and fluffy, with the right amount of saltiness from the cheddar. Really perfect. We also got the Candy Roasted Squash Coconut soup, which was surprisingly bland. It wasnt bad, but the coconut flavor was hardly noticeable, and i detected no cilantro as promised. Then we split the Harvest Fall Salad with poached pears, candied walnuts, blue cheese and Rose Vinaigrette. It was very flavorful and nicely portioned. Very good salad. For mains I got the Short Rib, which is served with a pumpkin seed puree, Brussel Sprouts and baby carrots. The rib was tender with n8ce flavor and the brussel Sprouts were excellent. The puree was good too, but thete was very little of it. My wife got the Pan Roasted Chicken which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. She would definitely order it again. Good job. Then for dessert I got the pecan pie tart, which i would not recommend at all. Often pecan pie filling is way too sweet, this was the opposite: i dont think there was any sugar in it at all. It was dry with almost no flavor, but was serviced with vanilla ice cream and a small amount of whipped cream which were both good. My wife got the Apple Cider Donut Sundae which was generously portioed and delicious! Crispy fried texture on the donuts paired with the creamy ice cream and cider caramel sauce worked so well. An excellent dessert. Our server was Danny who did a great job, and the courses were timed well, so no complaints on the service. It is expensive, at $135 for two without drinks. first time here and wont be my last. we came w a party of 10 for an impromptu engagement dinner for my daughter. we had a lovely table upstairs that only got prettier as it got darker outside and the lights were lowered with nice sized candles on the tables, not little cheap tealights.(what a nice touch) everyones drinks were generous and delicious, nice touch with the smoke at the table for the old fashions.we ordered many appetizers and they were all delicious as well. entrees were all very tasty and the prices were def reasonable for the atmosphere. our server was attentive but never intrusive. table was always cleared in a timely fashion. we def will be returning in the future read more

With the number of times that I have been to Addams Tavern, I'm shocked at myself for not doing this review sooner. I remember the first time I went to Addams for my birthday, none of my friends had been there before, so it was a new experience for all of us. Not a single person in the party had a negative thing to say, which is a nice thing to feel like you made a solid choice for your group. I always make reservations online because I like to guarantee that there will be space for my party and I when we get there, but they do take walk ins, as well. They have a bar area with stools and tables, they have regular table seating, white table cloth seating, and they have an upstairs area, as well. At one point, post pandemic when restaurants were allowed to be open again, we were seated outside. I have sat in most, if not all of these areas, and I can't tell which one I like more. When you first walk in, you are greeted by the host/hostess. The vibe is romantic with dim lighting and high ceilings. There is a subtle smoke smell that comes from the wood burning grills and the ovens (which you can openly see), and it only adds to the ambiance. The closer you sit to the ovens, the more you feel the scent clinging to you, so if that is something you're not crazy about, just ask them to seat you somewhere else. All of the staff there is fantastic. They are polite, kind and are super patient with questions and special requests that you may have. Their knowledge comes in handy when you're asking about the new seasonal items. That being said, there hasn't been anything I have tried here that wasn't fresh and delicious and seasoned just right. At my most recent visit, I had the Addams Rotisserie Pulled Chicken Salad with the crispy brussels sprouts and I loved them. So good. The ambiance with the service with the food quality is definitely worth the price you pay. So, the next time you're looking for a spot for date night, girls night out, or just a place to catch up, this is your place! Pro tip: there are bathrooms on BOTH floors, so you're never walking along the entire place just to get to a restroom. read more

I went to an early midweek lunch with a friend not too long ago. High ceilings and definitely an old tavern vibe. We got here not too long after opening and by noon there were no tables, so I strongly advise you make a reservation. Sound levels were definitely loud by the time the lunch crowd arrived. The Good: Great table away from the noisy bar and large groups. Tuna appetizer was tasty. The Meh: The place is run by teenagers - from the hosts to the servers. Mocktails are overly sweet and overpriced. Appetizers, dessert overpriced. Ridiculously tiny coke bottles, not even a half glass' worth. The Bad: Overall pricing does not match service and food quality, presentation & selection. The pork-chops were flavor-freed, doused with too much sauce (probably to hide the blandness), small and boring mashed potatoes and oddly flavored red cabbage. This place is part of the Harvest Restaurant group and though that usually doesn't necessarily mean anything for here it is nice to have a pretty wide selection of the Trap Rock brews on the menu! Also, the name seems to have some attachment to The Addams Family, that was created by American cartoonist Charles Addams who grew up in Westfield. "Attachment" means being inspired by, and you will also see some of the cartoons Addams drew for the New Yorker. Otherwise, there is no dust and mustiness here, only a wonderful feeling of comfort as you walk through. The Romaine Caesar Salad - Parmesan, Croutons is really a great version of a Caesar salad. The Just Baked Cheddar Onion Biscuits - Maple Chili Butter are definitely worth trying. The Crispy RI Calamari Pickled Cherry Peppers, Addams Sauce is one of the better versions of this dish I have had. The Wood Fired Baby Backs Ribs Fall Off the Bone Tender, BBQ Sauce, Creamy Sweet Relish Slaw, Baked Stuffed Potato do indeed fall off the bone though the potato could have been a better experience. read more

We said no "should we have?" and they made a face and acted bothered by it. So we said we can sit at the bar and she said oh no we have a 2 top available. So we sit down feeling uncomfortable that we didn't make a reservation. Had our entire meal and drinks and left. The whole time I e we're there nobody was in the restaurant besides a few 4 tops. The entire back had nobody sitting. I'm not sure what their problem was about not making a reservation but I can say it's the reason we won't be back. Came here for dinner with family, we were a group of 6 and additionally had 2 children with us. We were seated promptly as we had made reservations online. For starters we had the calamari which was crispy and well-flavored with a tiny kick to it. We also tried the rotisserie chicken wings which were sweet and not spicy at all. For dinner my husband and I shared a Romaine Caesar Salad and the Chicken Pot Pie. The Caesar Salad was light and delicious- it had the perfect amount of dressing (minimal which is my preference) and the romaine lettuce was crisp and fresh. The Chicken Pot Pie had a great flaky crust but the dish was a bit soupy to me so be sure to ask for a spoon. Regardless of that, the dish was still tasty. What really made this place exceptional was their extremely attentive service. There was someone checking on us constantly, we never had to flag down a single person for help. They are also very kid friendly here. This all really made our dining experience enjoyable. Parking is plentiful right next door, you just have to pay for metered parking (except on Sundays).
