The service was awful which set the mood for the rest of our night. We waited an hour and a half just for bread and we didn't get our entrees until after 2 hours. Our table was too small for our party of six and when we requested a larger table, we were told "I can't make the table bigger" which was then followed by "we don't have bigger tables" (?!). Food was bland and one of our dishes was cold. We asked for one of our appetizers to be wrapped because we didn't finish it and she acknowledged it but then didn't follow through. We didn't notice until afterwards that she hadn't boxed it up. We were all annoyed and wanted to leave asap. One and done... will not return. Such a shame. Train your employees to do better. read more

I came to Bistro 1051 with a large group for dinner. They accommodated us easily and everyone easily found what they wanted on the menu. I think this is the first place with mostly Italian food on the menu that also has a pretty extensive sushi menu. They had a skirt steak special that was calling my name. I'm a sucker for chimichurri so when I saw it was included I was sold. The steak was SO tender and flavorful and the chimichurri was perfectly herby and acidic. It came with mashed potatoes and garlic which were also very good. We shared the broccoli rabe and sausage flatbread and the margarita flatbread which were both delicious. We ordered fried Oreos for dessert and they came out warm and crisp. I hate when they are soggy and these were perfect. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing and very easy to talk to and ask questions. We enjoyed talking to her and getting her opinion of various dishes. read more

Convenient neighborhood strip mall eatery for family and group gatherings as the menu is massive and has enough options to satisfy the pickiest diner. Pleasant service with staff that know the menu well. Portions are healthy to the point of each dish being large enough to serve more than one person "en famiglia." My last visit was in 2010! I chose a revisit with my sister and it did not disappoint. Service was good and food was excellent. There are enough choices, including their sushi menu. We had edamame, eggplant tower, prosciutto & cheese flatbread, and crab/avocado tower- all very good. We went out for Mother's Day expecting a nice family dinner and left extremely disappointed. We waited over 1.5 to 2 hours just to receive appetizers. When we asked if our entrees would take much longer, we were told yes, while another table that had arrived before us still had not received their food either. At that point, we asked for the check for the appetizers and drinks so we could leave, but the staff refused to bring it. The owner kept assuring us the food would be out in "5 minutes," yet another 30 minutes passed before plates started coming out one at a time. To make matters worse, the quality of the food was mediocre at best. We paid expecting outstanding food and service and received neither. The kids ordered dessert and even found a hair in it. When we brought it up, the owner simply said they "outsource" the desserts instead of taking responsibility. The owner also told us that waiting two hours for appetizers was acceptable because it was a holiday, which is not an excuse for such poor service and organization. Despite all of this, a 22% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. Poor service, terrible wait times, mediocre food, lack of accountability, and being forced to pay gratuity after such an experience ensures we will never return. read more

I searched high and low for a restaurant with reasonable prices to host a group of 20 and I found it in Bistro 1051! We had enough space and privacy, the servers were great, the food was delicious, portions were large and the menu was varied. Highly recommend, esp. for anyone dining with a large group! read more

I've came to Bistro 1051 three times and the last time wasn't the best. The food was just not up to par. We ordered the fantastic roll and it was decent but i couldn't really taste what fish was in it. I used to love this spot but recently, it hasn't been the best. We ordered the flounder oreganata, which was lemony, fresh and had very tasty bread crumbs. Also ordered was the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was a high quality and very tasty. Both portions were generous and the waitress was lovely. I enjoyed lunch so much we returned for dinner. The seafood pasta was enjoyed, as was the veal saltimboca (my family wasn't as picky as I) but the stuffed shrimp was more breading than crab meat filling and the shrimp had an iodine taste. The waitress also kept coming over and interrupting people while they were chatting, which made the evening less enjoyable than it could've been. This didn't happen at lunch so it was waitress specific. All in all, I'll return for lunch and would happily have the flounder or salad but I'd skip the shrimp. read more

We've been here about 15 times. I like that there are myriad options for meals here. If I'm craving sushi but my wife wants an Italian-inspired salad, we're both happy with what's on the menu here @1051. Michael the owner is always visible & circulating around the restaurant. You can tell he cares about his place & the customers. It does get very loud in here as the acoustics appear to be amplified off the walls or glass ceiling. The food was very good & fresh. Some updating is needed with the tables as they are showing signs of excessive wear & there needs to be more care in making sure that the plates & utensils are up to Michael's level of cleanliness expectations. Jaclyn our waitress was responsive & courteous without being pushy. Everything food wise was as ordered. Always parking available in the lot. Love that it's still BYOB. This place always brings back memories of the Rice Bowl of my youth We'll be back because there's always something new I want to try here. read more

If i could give it zero stars i would but it doesn't allow me too...Had a terrible experience on Mothers Day...waited 2hrs for apps another almost 2hrs for our entrees the food was terrible it was disgusting it came out cold over cooked dry the chicken tasted like it was reheated tried to charge me 22% gratuity for barely any service. All the owner would say is its Mother's Day...ive been to plenty of restaurants on bigger holidays and got exceptional service and food...he couldn't take accountability of his lack of management. Greeted by smiles from the whole staff when we walked in, it was very busy at 5:30 yet we got smiles from everyone and that says ALOT! We had fried calamari with marinara which was absolutely delicious! Just enough breading without going over, fried perfectly, serving size was plenty for our table of 3. Then onto the Kamikaze rolls..... They have the best sushi I've ever had, order the Kamikaze rolls you can't get those anywhere else and they're just perfection. Entree was the Lobster Ravioli... I was so full from the Calamari and Sushi I had to bring most of my entree home which is ok because the Lobster Ravioli was also great... We ordered desert to go as we were all full.. I ordered the Lemon Mascarpone cake .... I don't know if they make it there fresh or have it flown in lol and I don't care I couldn't believe how light and fresh it was. Food is delicious. It's a very popular local restaurant. If you go at peak hrs, expect to wait. Wait to be seated, wait to be served, wait for food, wait to pay bill. Restaurant is decorated very nicely. We were immediately seated. (We did have reservations). Our waitress was very nice and made great recommendations. We started with the grilled octopus which was delicious. Calamari was tender but crispy. Great flavor. Long hots with potatoes was awesome. Sushi roll ( Happy Roll). What a great combination (tuna, eel, avocado and banana) like a flavor explosion. Dinner consisted of Filet Mignon. Cooked perfectly. Grilled pork chop Giambotta. Delicious just slightly over cooked to my liking. And a Parmesan encrusted pork chop. Karyn's veal chop parmigiana!! Fantastic!! I've been here twice and ate outside both times. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. The menu is very expansive. They have a variety of Italian and seafood dishes plus sushi. All sushi and seafood dishes have always been fresh. The sushi is pretty good considering this isn't a sushi restaurant. The service was excellent both times. My favorite entrée was a fall special. Came here for my birthday celebration. Plenty of parking restaurant is located in a strip mall, very nice decorated place. For being a Monday they were pretty busy. It did take some time for us to put in our order, however after we did service was pretty smooth. We started with a couple appetizers all were very good. We all had different entrees, each of us were pretty happy with our choices. Two of my sons had the chicken Frances they said it was good just wish it wasn't so lemony.
