This was my second time in this restaurant and this time around it was a completely different experience! This time around, I went during a very busy time, Friday 7ish pm. There are two floors, so luckily since we were looking for a calmer space, we were able to get seated up there. I was able to make a reservation by calling, even though online nothing was available. Food was good and enjoyable, but I think because it was busy and there might've been a need for tables, our service felt a bit rushed. The best thing about this menu is the fact that they carry a Hugo Spritz! It was okay, and not the way I remember the traditional version to be, but tasty and a good surprise anyhow! Good food, I would just recommend to go during an off-peak time.
This is a very warm and comforting restaurant. Drinks were good, service was great. There are several spots on the street and parking lots to pay for parking. After 6 is free. Food was very light and filling
Speedy & friendly service. Very welcoming by when I'm imagining is the owner who's sitting by the bar. I waitress was very kind and she took care of us the whole night. We ordered a beat salad, which was absolutely gorgeous and very colorful and perfect amount of dressing!!! I ordered the ravioli marinara and my bff fettuccine Alfredo.. We both really loved our pasta dishes. Everything was prepared so wonderfully! Fresh and delicious! Hot! It was a very busy early dinner timeframe. Service was still fantastic. Very thankful to everyone who contributed to an enjoyable time! So many hard-working employees! I'm so grateful for everything! A very full belly! Thank you for a great experience!!
I don't see the hype. The service was just mediocre, the food was alright, the only issue I had with my food was the Brooklyn square was a little overcooked, the sauce dried out.
A two-floor Italian restaurant, while the service was just average compared to my prior experiences, we had a big table beside us that was taking up the waitstaff's time and attention. Definitely grab a reservation if you can, the bar had some seating throughout but the restaurant was pretty busy with families and celebrations. Was an empty glass for half the meal. Second floor and outside seating available. Close to the Westfield train station for parking on weekends. Good menu, though the appetizers are a bit small (good for 2-3 people to share each, maybe) - the bread they bring is hot and not completely cut so you have to break it apart with your hands. The bruschetta was good, the burrata I've had softer and creamier, and the meatballs were small compared to Nonna's and other Italian restaurants I've been at. For my main, the short rib pappardelle was delicious, though greasy. I ate far too much -- definitely healthy serving size.
This place might have had the best customer service I have ever experienced. I came here with a group of coworkers. We were a party of 8 early in the evening on a weekday but I was super surprised at how attentive the staff was. The food was great and the place was pretty spacious. The only downside is there is no parking but that's to be expected in downtown Westfield. I would definitely go back
First time here -- everything was excellent -- the service, waiter, food and drinks. Family friendly which was nice since we came with our two kids. They fit us in for a last min 5pm resy. Will come back!
I got the chicken parmigiana, which was ok (3/5). It wasn't very crispy or super flavorful. We also got a pizza, which was not that good (2/5); the crust was pretty soft, and the flavor wasn't great. Lastly, we also got calamari, which was good (4/5). Service was ok (3/5). It was a little slow, especially when it came time to get the check. The interior of the restaurant and the atmosphere are nice (4/5).
Top Notch in Service, Management, and 5 star quality/quantity in food. We are here from Minnesota. And we absolutely loved it here, Ambiance, Food, Service. Top notch.
This spot always catches my eye--right by the train station and always packed. Finally tried it and have mixed feelings. The gnocchi was amazing and definitely worth coming back for. The fettuccine was a bit dry, and the pasta didn't taste homemade, but the meat sauce was solid when I added red pepper for alittle kick. The pizza was good at first--nice crust, no flop--but overall mid w taste. Bruschetta and tuna were decent, not standout but tasty. Drinks were well-priced. My dirty martini came out a little too on the rocks lol (basically just vodka), but they fixed it right away when I asked. Service was a 10/10--our server was so sweet. I'd come back for the gnocchi and the service, and maybe try different things.

I am not big on Italian restaurants, as I find most to be bland from trying to "play it safe." That was not the case here. The food was well seasoned, perfectly prepared, & the portions were plentiful. The staff were very friendly & professional, & they were super attentive, in spite of it being very busy when I went. Large venue with two sides, restaurant side & bar side. Nice old school "Italian restaurant" interior decor. Large bay doors which can open to the outdoor seating area. I was truly impressed, & will make it by business to return. It's in the downtown Westfield area, so there's metered parking around, & a metered parking lot directly across the street. I do not remember the specific dishes & drinks we had, but I still have the photos. I give all of the food that we had an A+.
Recently back to ferraros with a group of 5. Still offers decent Italian food in an upscale setting. We shared appetizers, and my favorite was the burrata. I really liked my chicken dish as well. Good portion sizes
Family friendly restaurant serving up a variety of Italian fare. For my first impression, the restaurant was slightly chaotic and I think I need to come back again to try it on a quieter day. Tables were a bit cramped, children were running around, and there was broken glass at one point that I felt like could have been cleaned up just a little bit faster (I was actually slightly concerned given the amount of kids walking around!). Nonetheless, food is solid, nothing fancy but decent all around. I'd come back with large groups and probably recommend it more for families.
Despite the service being just a touch slow in bringing out the food, the waitress was very attentive to us. The food including the dessert was enjoyable and the interior gives classic New Jersey Italian restaurant. Totally recommend for a lunch with friends read more

First time at Ferraro's per a friend's suggestion. We were a party of 4 and seated without a wait. It was fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon. The ambiance was pleasant and there's an option to dine outdoors (not my preference, especially literally on the sidewalk). The service was wonderful, our server answered all of our questions, and made good suggestions. She was knowledgeable about the entire menu, which was great and useful. The food overall was mediocre. We began with Tomato Bruschetta as an appetizer and I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. It was delicious! The bread itself stole the show! I would not have ordered it, so I'm glad that my friend did. We also add the fried calamari, which was excellent. It was crispy and nicely coated. The marinara sauce was watery and flavorless, further proving why I am not a fan of it. However, I did dip my calamari in the mango & sweet chili vinaigrette... AMAZING combo! Then there's the Giuseppe Pizza, good but not great. Again, the bread and crust were the major flavor points. Not over or under done, just right. The chicken and arugula on top, nice touch. Lastly, the mango salad and an addition of shrimp. Overall, everything was just okay. I would not be in a hurry to go back, but we enjoyed our time. Keep in mind, there's an additional charge if you pay with a card. That seems to be the ridiculous trend these days with restaurants everywhere. read more

Cozy and comfy food but a bit rustic and basic overall that don't quite match the prices they offer. The cocktails were fun and elegant looking. The arancini was delicious with just the right amount of sauce. The chicken francese was a bit underseasoned overall and that includes the potatoes (not rice?) and fun small carrots. Servings were very reasonable, but it doesn't quite hit the mark with what they are asking to pay. read more

This Italian restaurant is conveniently located in Westfield right by the train station. I usually find parking across or down the street, about a 3 min walk from the restaurant. The service was good, just average. I was there with two other friends, they had a salad and each ordered some pasta, I only had the gnocchi which was actually pretty tasty. The portions were big enough, that I couldn't finish my entire dish and grabbed the leftovers to go. Had a good time talking to my friends, they have tables right outside which makes this place a favorite one for large groups and families with kids. Overall it was a good experience, I would definitely go back here for dinner again and try some other pasta on the menu. read more

With comfortable and spacious outdoor seating in the heart of Westfield's restaurant district, Ferraro's is hands down one of the top restaurants in our area! Hospitality is top notch and service is professional and on point. The food is amazing from presentation to completion of our meal. Every bite was savory and cooked in to perfection in flavor and texture. Every meal was so perfect is was hard to choose a favorite. Worth every dime, its price is as upscale as its reputation but they meet that in spades! read more

Every time we come here it just gets better. I can never figure out what to order because everything I've had has been so delicious. The weather was perfect to sit outside tonight. Not too hot and not too cold. There were a few tables outside available and we snagged one. Our server was very attentive and gave us time to look over the menu. My boyfriend ordered off the special menu with homemade taglioni and shrimp with bacon. The flavor was so tasty. I ordered the appetizer of avocado filednwoth shrimp and cannellini beans. Soooo good. We both had take home which I'm excited about. I'm god we can walk here from our home because it keeps me coming back. read more

Portion has become smaller. I haven't been back in 2 years and you now get half a branzino. They give you 1 filet and cut it in half so it looks like it's 2 pieces. read more

One of my friends and I got together to get dinner. When we arrived I parked in the lot nearby. I walked into a nice restaurant. A host let me sit where I pleased. Molly was our server, and she was nice! To start, I wanted the half bottle of red wine, which they didn't have, so I had the old fashion followed by the lemon drop martini. Both weren't bad! For my meal, I got the Giuseppe pizza with grilled chicken. My friend had the penne vodka, and her daughter had the Brooklyn Square pizza. All the food looked great! I really enjoyed the Giuseppe pizza! It was so different with the arugula and the chicken. I definitely had a good experience! read more
We got off to a rocky start, with the restaurant losing our reservation. So pro tip: if you call in to reserve, make sure they send you a verification code! Fortunately the host was able to fit us in, so no harm no foul (aside from me mentally preparing to unleash my best "Let me speak to the manager" act). The place itself is smaller on the first floor than the outside lets on, so expect for a louder meal given the proximity of all of the tables. Service was very good, with folks passing by often and refilling water pitchers or cold drinks. While three of us ordered beer, it was only out of the desire for something other than water - the beers on tap were incredibly underwhelming, such that Sam Adams sounded like the most unique option. You're better off with wine! We had a few Appetizers, including arancini, bruschetta, and buratta. All were very tasty, though I wish the portions were a bit larger. With only three arancini, a few slices of bruschetta and an average sized buratta, we certainly could have used more for four people. That said, the entree portions more than made up for it. My baked lasagna was a great size, and came out still steaming hot thanks to the large dish in which it was served. Though I managed to power through my entire meal, everyone else required take home boxes given the sheer size of the course! I finished with the cannoli, which was completely forgettable. Not a fan. Overall a great experience, albeit with a few bumps along the way. Would love to come back and try some of those other huge entrees! read more

Good food! Service was good, nice place. I would just say they didn't have one of the menu items that I saw online-- Giuseppe Di Coco. I ended up instead ordering the Gnocchi Napolitano with tomato sauce and it was very good & filling! read more

Had a beautiful dinner here! The restaurant is situated on a lively street with the restaurant's exterior giving an authentic charm that makes you feel you've been transported to Italy. The place is classy and has 3 levels. The service is excellent but slow. You won't get your food fast but that means it's fresh. Ordered the lobster ravioli and I loved it. It is expensive - you are paying for ambiance and that the food is good but slightly overpriced. I wanna come back and try some more dishes. read more
