Excellent Italian food. Attentive service. Enjoyed the complimentary brushetta. Shrimp with crab meat appetizer was enough of a meal. All enjoyed their entrees! Warm inviting atmosphere.

Giuseppe does it's best to make its outdoor dining experience as comfortable and cool as possible. The dining area is one of the parking lots under a big tent with DJ playing music. The ground is a bit slanted so definitely be careful not to lean back on your chair. Shrimp stuff with crab meat and wrapped with prosciutto over spinach was a great start. The shrimp linguine with broccoli rabe sounded good but it didn't have a lot of flavor. The cockles with crab meat over a tri color linguine was very delicious but I remembered how much I didn't like cockles since they had so little meat inside. Plenty of pasta. Plenty of flavor.

Having dinner with our son who will celebrate his birthday this weekend. The place is empty at this time, then after a few minutes people are coming in. On a weeknight like this, I'm impressed that people are dining here. I ordered linguini with clams. I did not expect that clam shells will be difficult for me to chew, lol. Lots of clam shell remnants were in my linguine. Maybe those shells broke while they prep my order. I made a mistake ordering this entree from their dinner menu. At least you know now what NOT to order. Nothing outstanding, food is just an ordinary in Italian pesto taste. Their open dining area is right next to Hwy 27 being covered by a large tent, 6 ft distant rule is being observed. There are times we couldn't hear each other due to loud passing trains and vehicles. Service is great. $$$ Yelp price code is real, kinda pricey for an Italian restaurant in the area.

Been here for lunch and dinner. Staff is definitely accommodating. I've gone with a huge party of 12 and a small party of 5. I remember I couldn't decide what I wanted so I asked them to bring me a simple dish with garlic, spinach, and shrimp. They nailed it, and I was super happy. They also have the best crème brûlée I've ever had. And the fried zucchini--it's awesome!!! It's like French fries but zucchini, and it's sooo good!

Had a company holiday party tonight, although the initial service was good but after few incidents on issues with appetizers and entrees, the host (perhaps the owner) responded" if the food wasn't good, why did you guys eat it before letting you waiter know "not the response we were hoping for and the services went down hill from there. We did spent money for 6 people, it's just hard to swallow for 20% services fees when the "portion" of the food and services was 3 stars out of 5. We expect better, perhaps it's just a off night around the holidays. -Vince

Osso Bucco a house specialty is incredible...the service was impressive and memorable. The entire dining experience is just that...an unforgettable night out. Cheryll and I will recommend Casa Giuseppe's to our friends and even to people were not really fond of since business is business

Different appetizers: prosciutto, calamari, eggplant rollatini, roasted mushrooms and tomato mozzarella. All very good.

I enjoyed the baby lamb chops over white bean salad w/lemon vinaigrette after sharing calamari with a spicy mango sauce . Service for a large group was attentive and restaurant allowed you to bring your own bottle so the final bill was more manageable . Parking is available out front.

We were brought downstairs to a large room full of tables and were the only ones in there. We wondered if we'd insulted someone, or if one of us might be 'offensive', (no one was) but as it turns out, it was a 'Godsend'. We're all in our 70's and hearing/speaking can be challenging in a crowded/noisy dining room. We remained the only ones there for almost the entire 2 hours we were there and really enjoyed ourselves without having to yell or ask "WHAT!?" We shared a couple of salads (Greek and Arugula) and calamari, all very good. My wife had the seafood capellini and one sister the seafood fra diavolo, which they both enjoyed. My other sister had a seafood salad and my BIL went for the double cut pork chops, which he too enjoyed. I opted for the Halibut / risotto. Halibut is not an easy fish to make 'moist or juicy'. I make it at home and it comes out 'pretty good' (at least my wife says so) but here, this portion was fantastic! So light an flaky and tasty. Definitely give it a try if you enjoy Halibut. We all shared a couple of desserts... a home made carrot cake and a chocolate cake from 'outside'. Both good, but the carrot cake was served warm, which was a first for all of us... and it was terrific! Without a doubt the best carrot cake we'd ever had, so save a little room for their carrot cake if/when go. Our servers, Alyssa and Dagmar provided excellent service as well as some humorous dialogue while we were there. Made our meal just that much better!. Yes... it's a BYOB!

We were a party of 8 and ordered from the family style menu (5 appetizers, salad, 2 pastas, 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 fish, dessert). It was clear they were severely understaffed, and we were largely ignored until one of them finally said, "I will check on your table." The food was okay. The bread? Their stock answer was humorous after hearing it recites by all three servers: "It's in the oven" I guess practice makes perfect. Standard salad with balsamic, same as every mid pizza/food place I have been before. Red snapper special was way tough on the outside, like chewing leather that you never would really want to eat?! Best thing here was the pork chop, sweet spicy peppers, with onions yummy brown sauce, although the pork was a tad overdone. Overall, this place is a pass.

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!
