    Stuffed avocado with crab meat.
    Michael L.

Had a lite dinner so a can't give it them a proper review. I had the stuffed avocado with crab. Excellent. Great service. Ate at the bar. Bartender Java was totally amazing. Really took care of us top notch. Bar area was a little loud but the dinning room seamed a little quieter. My friend had the gnocchi and he said it was great. Now go get you some.

There's tons of parking. Waiters are attentive. Food was lacking. Got the burrata appetizer. They came and sliced everything in half. Legit one ball of burrata, sliced the slice of tomato in half. Plucked one basil per person. And divided the peppers into two portions. The peppers were stringy and if you have a thing for texture, AVOID. I don't mind different textures but this was truly slimy and gross. Also seemed like I was just eating a garden for the low price of $16 for a ball of cheese and half a slice of a tomato and two sprigs of basil. The fish was overcooked. The sauce was good, it had a subtle grape flavor very nice - but so little. It was so dry and overcooked without the one tsp of sauce. The pasta was the only good part. I loved the clams, they were cooked perfectly and the linguine tasted yummy. Not too heavy, yet still very flavorful. The building reminded me of the haunted castle ride from Disney. For the price, I expect innovative food or decently prepared food.

Great food and service, all the apps amazing, espresso martini amazing. Pasta amazing, everything here is just above

Excellent, first time eating at this restaurant and definitely will be going back. Everything we had was delicious including the drinks. The staff was wonderful, from the hostess to our waiter who went out of his way to accommodate us and give us his recommendations. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Solid dinner - service and ambiance were so nice. We ordered a bunch of apps and pasta to share. Calamari was good and we really liked the rigatoni bolognese. Parking behind was easy as well! Would recommend!

Lemoncello cake was light -- a perfect summer dessert

Enjoyed another fabulous dinner. From the appetizers to dessert... everything was delicious. So many specials it's hard to choose one. Service is impeccable. Cappuccino was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. Dined on the patio tonight perfect evening.

    The shrimp cocktail was delicious

We (22 people) went to Il Castello's after a very sad funeral at a cemetery in the neighborhood. Angelo and Tiana took superb care of us." (truth is that it was Angelo's birthday and he left us in Tiana's capable hands). The food and wine were amazing and a sad time was made easier by the warm care and hospitality of Il Castello's. Thank you.

We just came here for an early Valentines Day dinner. One good thing about this place is the parking.they do have their own parking lot but ofc we didn't see it and ended up parking in the free parking lot behind the block. So we walked in and it's a little weird because the entrance is in an alleyway but it's so cute once you walk in. One thing you will see is "proper attire is required" which is a little weird to me because there were people wearing jeans and sneakers but whatever. But you do need to make a reservation! Once we got there and told the host our names we were immediately seated. We were seated a table where it seems like they sit smaller parties of 2-4. Once we sat someone came over and asked if we would like water. Shortly after the same man came back and asked if we would like something to drink. Our drinks were really good. The Cabernet I had was good to me. It wasn't too bitter.I ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and the pappardelle bolognese as my meal! The shrimp cocktail was alright (not the biggest fan of colossal shrimp) but my BOLOGNESE was soooooo good! I would definitely say go for the bolognese if you do come! My boyfriend has the lamb sausages and the asparagus risotto which was also very good! Best thing was it wasn't that expensive! Considering we each had two rounds of drinks and he had a dessert, it honestly is a good deal when you eat here. This place has excellent food, service and the atmosphere is just wonderful! If you are in the Woodbridge area definitely check it out

So we came with low expectations, but left with a satisfied experience. I love thin crust pizza, and Angelina's nailed it with their dough making. All the bread was delicious. The gelatos were so fresh and creamy. What gives them a 5 star for us: all the drinks were excellent (love their Negronis) and the dishes were well seasoned. It was a crowded night but we got a table with no reservations after a 10 min wait on a Saturday night. High ceilings and open layout, the place felt spacious and outdoorsy.

Initially, wood fired pizza was my draw here and the server mentioned that 12" sizes are available despite not listed on the menu. Thankfully, another server saw me waiting and waiting to place my order. Only 2 servers and the place was surprisingly busy so service was lacking in addition to the disappointing execution of my meal. I played it safe, I thought, and ordered the mixed veggie salad with salmon. The salad was a pathetic array of about 6 Boston lettuce leaves and then an inordinate amount of sloppily sliced red onions, way too many capers, and drowned in a tasteless vinegarette all served on a huge platter. Maybe a nice place to grab a happy hour drink ...but too much competition for food in the area to dine here.

We were brought downstairs to a large room full of tables and were the only ones in there. We wondered if we'd insulted someone, or if one of us might be 'offensive', (no one was) but as it turns out, it was a 'Godsend'. We're all in our 70's and hearing/speaking can be challenging in a crowded/noisy dining room. We remained the only ones there for almost the entire 2 hours we were there and really enjoyed ourselves without having to yell or ask "WHAT!?" We shared a couple of salads (Greek and Arugula) and calamari, all very good. My wife had the seafood capellini and one sister the seafood fra diavolo, which they both enjoyed. My other sister had a seafood salad and my BIL went for the double cut pork chops, which he too enjoyed. I opted for the Halibut / risotto. Halibut is not an easy fish to make 'moist or juicy'. I make it at home and it comes out 'pretty good' (at least my wife says so) but here, this portion was fantastic! So light an flaky and tasty. Definitely give it a try if you enjoy Halibut. We all shared a couple of desserts... a home made carrot cake and a chocolate cake from 'outside'. Both good, but the carrot cake was served warm, which was a first for all of us... and it was terrific! Without a doubt the best carrot cake we'd ever had, so save a little room for their carrot cake if/when go. Our servers, Alyssa and Dagmar provided excellent service as well as some humorous dialogue while we were there. Made our meal just that much better!. Yes... it's a BYOB!

Their stock answer was humorous after hearing it recites by all three servers: "It's in the oven" I guess practice makes perfect. Standard salad with balsamic, same as every mid pizza/food place I have been before. Red snapper special was way tough on the outside, like chewing leather that you never would really want to eat?! Best thing here was the pork chop, sweet spicy peppers, with onions yummy brown sauce, although the pork was a tad overdone. Overall, this place is a pass.

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!
