I like my ham taylor'd, and my pork rolled
    Ari J.

There are two types of New Jerseyites... those who say Pork Roll and those who say Taylor Ham. If you say "Taylor Ham" then you are from the North and east part of the state. If you say "PorkRoll" then your are wrong. It's a disseminating line that divides our fine state from North to South.. so clearly this line! The right side... and the wrong side. And from whichever you hail you can procure the best NJ breakfast sandwich around, right here.

Food is made fresh and with love but some may say it's a bit greasy Rye bread was delicious Omelets were huge and come with home fries which could have been cooked longer Service is amazing! Place is old but clean Cash preferred there is a credit card fee Parking is 2 cars only Will return

Breakfast sammy at Ridgedale Lunch, Morristown - nice thin sliced Taylor ham, egg & cheese with just a dab of mustard. Friendly staff.

Stirling Tavern is a casual but polished neighborhood bar and grill with a trendy aesthetic and a…read morecozy ambiance; a menu featuring classic pub favorites elevated a notch above your average bar fare with gourmet ingredients; an innovative and seasonally-updated adult beverage program; and attentive and friendly service. The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Stirling Tavern.

Despite this, the manager refused to provide our party with the brunch menu and insisted we order from the regular menu, even after we politely requested otherwise. It later became clear that this decision was based on the size of our party rather than an actual menu policy. The manager repeatedly claimed that brunch ended earlier than what was printed on the menu, which was confusing and inconsistent. After unnecessary back and forth, the chef ultimately approved our ability to order from the brunch menu, confirming that this was not a kitchen issue. This was especially disappointing as we were celebrating my son's birthday, and what should have been a pleasant occasion was unnecessarily stressful. The manager's approach was unprofessional, dismissive, and confrontational. In contrast, our waiter was excellent. He was attentive, courteous, and did everything possible to make the experience positive despite the circumstances. Honoring published menu times and treating guests with respect are basic service expectations. Unfortunately, poor management overshadowed what could have otherwise been an enjoyable celebration.

My daughter normally is not a fan for any kind of meat but she almost ate half of it! Calamari also had very special taste and we liked it too. Hardly anyone there so the bartender comes over to take the order despite a bunch of employees standing around and chatting. I would rather have a dedicated waiter / waitress. I see another group of employees all seated at a booth all talking. Makes no sense. We ordered but the Apps and the main course came out all at once before we even got our drinks. Not a big deal. One of my kids wanted some salt for her mac & cheese. Bartender never came back to ask how everything came out. Multiple people loafing around and waking past but I couldn't get anyone's attention for the salt. I asked someone who said we aren't his table and kept walking. I saw this guy up by the bar - collared shirt - looked like a manager. I waved at him and he looked at me and just shook his head and went back to talking to some other bar back.    I was beyond pissed and finally the older manager lady happened to walk by. I said who is that guy in the collared shirt - oh he works here but hasn't started his shift yet. Yea well I just wanted the salt shaker if he bothered to take 2 seconds and see. Or he could have gotten someone else's attention but he didn't, he just blew me off. But the Manager made no attempt to really apologize or ask what she could do. Then our drinks are empty for awhile- none came by to see if we wanted another round. Eventually I'm waving at the bartender who finally comes over and I ask for a 2nd round. Then he forgets about making them and spends 15 mins talking with other employees and doing whatever before I wave at him again. He gives me the nod and The drinks finally come but no limes like the previous round. Honestly I was done - might have stayed longer but with our kids it was time to go. Finally I've included a photo of our view of these diligent employees that are obviously too busy to worry about service or the perception of how things look from a customers point of view. The food wasn't bad but honestly the experience wasn't great. We won't be back.
