sub par grilled cheese with guac instead of avocado
    Ashley L.

What happened?? I came here for the first time four years ago since I don't live close to the area and I drove all the way for their unique array of grilled cheeses that became popular online. I remember getting a spinach and artichoke grilled cheese that was life changing. Flash forward to this year, the menu is sparse and unoriginal. I was so confused what happened? Why the change? I grinned and bore it and got the regular grilled cheese. Tried to spruce it up by adding avocado.. they gave me guacamole in the grilled cheese?? Weird and not what I wanted or expected. If you don't have fresh avocado just say that.. Overall sad that this memorable place became sub par.

Caesar salad Short rib grilled cheese Fried chicken sandwich Bang bang shrimp

Committed pig has always been one of my favorites! Came here this week with a friend for lunch to get the Restaurant week menu (1 app and 1 entree for ~$23!) For apps we got the Caesar salad and bang bang shrimp and then I got the short rib grilled cheese and she got the fried chicken sandwich. The bang bang shrimp was my favorite, they were soooo good. My grilled cheese was also good but a little greasy. Caesar salad was fresh but the menu said it would have artichokes on it and it did not. I also felt that the service was a little slow that day but not a huge deal. Overall, always an enjoyable spot to grab lunch!

Quick service and a great breakfast menu. We have been here for breakfast every time we have stayed in Morristown. The menu has a little bit of everything for everyone and they are always quick to take your order and the food is out hot and fast. The hash brown patties are delicious and the portions of everything are very fair. I wasn't overly impressed with my toast this visit (rock hard & Cold) but I imagine that was an odd experience. Overall a great place in the Morristown main square for breakfast or brunch. Cozy inside with homey tables and chairs.

I visited this place for the second time, and it was definitely worth coming back! On my first visit, I had lunch by myself and tried the Pig Mac, which was absolutely amazing. I was surprised that I finished the whole thing! I paired it with a side of cranberry spritzer. The service was very attentive and made me feel welcomed. My second experience was during Valentine's Day for a lunch date. This time, the place was very busy, and I was impressed by how quickly everyone was moving. They really do take into consider that people have a limited time for their lunch break. This time, my husband and I shared two meals, and oh my goodness, it was amazing! We ordered the grilled cheesesteak and the garlic avocado, and we enjoyed every single bite. Everything was just full of flavor.

    Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese

Came here for lunch today (Monday) at around 11:45am and got seated in 5 minutes, the food came out in less than 10! Our waitress was quick and great. I got their Buffalo Chicken Grilled Chicken with fries on the side, I was truly surprised at how big it was and could genuinely be split for two people. The place was usual size for Morristown, with a good amount of tables. It did get packed around 12:20pm as we were wrapping up our meal which is pretty usual for Morristown. Overall, a really good experience!

While I'm not a fan of heavy "greasy" food for lunch (or any time of the day, really),colleagues convinced me to have lunch during workday here. As it wasn't overly busy at noon,we easily found a table to sit down and service was super quick. All of us ordered sandwiches and got frieds (or soup) on the side. Overall, satisfied with taste and portion size (had some leftovers to take home)-the only nuance was that my colleague's meal had to be re-done as the chicken in the sandwich was initially undercooked-however,as he flagged that to the waitress, new meal was arranged promptly. Inside is a bit dark to my liking, but if you come really hungry, that probably doesn't really matter :) street parking only!

I was a little put off when I entered. There were two guys at the register and neither said hello or smiled. they cant say they didnt see me because I was looking at the one guy long and hard. The place was halfway full with families and Saturday night daters. It was a little tight and they sat the 5 of us at a 4 seater which I dont always enjoy because I feel uncomfortable for the one sticking out. There was a 6 seater behind us but he chose not to seat us there. Our server was ok. Not very congenial or smiley or chatty but he got the job done and correctly. We ordered 2 orders of wings, the Mac & Cheese Burger, the Haag Burger, the Chopped Cobb, and two of the Pasta Specials. Honestly, their saving grace is the food. It's DELICIOUS!!! And the portions are HUGE! I'm a self-proclaimed wing snob and these wings slapped!!! DEFINITELY on the high side (5 wings for $9...eek) but they were yummy. They burgers were cooked perfectly. The pasta was tasty. And my salad was PACKED with ingredients except lettuce. I felt like there was only 10 pieces of lettuce. I said that was probably the unhealthiest salad I've ever had but it was soooo good! Would I go again? The ambiance and everything else was mid so I'd probably just get that bangin food to-go instead.

Celebrated our sons 23rd birthday here. He was a regular here when he was at school nearby. Cozy but busy! Our waiter Steve was great and oh-so helpful while taking our orders. We started with two different wings - their dry rub was my favorite and our son loved the garlic parmesan. They had me at bacon with the Haag burger. My sister had the Cobb Salad. She said it was mostly filler with five pieces of lettuce? That's my kind of salad though. My husband and mom each ordered the New Year New Pasta, lemon themed but delicious. Our birthday boy had his regular - mac and cheese burger which was HUGE!! Had a great time and will definitely be back!!

    Garlic Avocado Grilled Cheese

Came here for a brunch after a few years. Was busy on a Sunday but only had to wait 10-15 minutes for a seat. Filled with locals, family friendly establishment. BYOB. The burger was juicy and cooked exactly medium as I requested. The sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. The garlic avocado grilled cheese was tasty but wasn't as good as the last one I had a few years ago; the cheese could have been more melted and I thought the avocado would come sliced instead of as a spread. The pancakes came with a good portion but were much denser than expected. Overall, prices are very reasonable for solid food.

Wings with Mangold's OG BBQ Sauce
    Dan M.

It was a casual place that served a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and pancakes. There was a lot of different variety regarding those types of foods. The service was friendly, and the food came out very quickly. For an appetizer, I ordered wings ($9). I chose the Mangold's OG BBQ sauce, which was a sweet and zesty house blend. There were five large wings per order. They were tasty, seeming to be of good quality, and the sauce was a nice balance of sweet and zesty as described. There was the ever-so-slightest kick, but not much. I ordered the chipotle bacon burger ($18). All of their burgers were double patties with a blend of short rib, hanger steak, and brisket. It came with muenster cheese, bacon strips, chipotle mayo, and an onion ring. I requested the meat to be cooked medium, and that is how it was cooked. The burgers were thin but very flavorful due to the blend. The roll was ideal, and the toppings were well-executed. I would have preferred more chipotle mayo, but aside from that, it was a tasty burger. I also chose a side salad over fries. It was a nice-sized salad with very fresh ingredients, including lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, and tomatoes. I also tried the mac and cheeseburger. It came on grilled sourdough. It was gooey and messy but got the job done. The mac and cheese could have been seasoned a little more, but it was alright. The bread was key, as it really held everything together. I did try sweet potato waffle fries that were flavorful and crispy, but on the thinner side, which was different for a waffle fry. Will I go back? Sure.

    Fried Pickle Chips
    Kristina R.

BLUF: Definitely has plenty of potential, and I thoroughly enjoyed my burger. Pickle chips were too soggy and undercooked. Service needs a look at. Very casual. When I walked in there were only two tables of two. Hostess told me to find a seat and she'd bring me a menu. She never actually did, but thankfully a gentleman (overhead called Roberto) saw that I had been sitting there for an awfully long time and brought me one. He seemed to be doing the bulk of the work in the restaurant. My waitress Skylar was very pleasant and helpful. While eating, the hostess stepped outside and yelled loudly across the busy intersection to a friend. The door is propped open to let the fresh air in, so the restaurant all stopped to stare at her as it was very loud. Weird and a little unprofessional, but not that big a deal. The problem is that this young woman spent the entire time goofing off with employees. Tables were without refills. An elderly man stood at the hostess desk for so long that all three tables in the small restaurant were looking around for someone to help him. We could clearly hear the hostess goofing around in the back room. After a considerable amount of time, the man left long before the hostess returned. I ordered the Chipotle Bacon burger and it was cooked very well with seasoned bacon- fantastic. The side of pickle chips were unfortunately undercooked with breading that fell apart as soon as you touched it. Overall mixed experience. My waitress was great, the hostess needs some training, and the burgers are a hit. But maybe go for fries.

Great spot for generous, delish and unique dishes right in downtown, Morristown. Dog friendly, seating outside!! Can't go wrong here for breakfast! Certainly a great breakfast spot, I know they make food all day long and some of it let's just say they don't worry too much about the calories! But my breakfast was healthy and hardy and absolutely delicious so don't be afraid to come here if you're trying to keep an eye on your figure Got to say, I love getting my own pot of coffee, very rare these days, but they brought me my pot and got to say excellent coffee! I got myself a beautiful spinach, mushroom and cheese omelette! I got a fruit cup instead of the home, fries and wheat toast! Everything I wanted, giant, delicious, generous, serving! We also got a regular ham and cheese omelette, which was fantastic! Of course we had to get their pumpkin pancakes as it was fall, and my God, talk about mortal sin! These things are absolutely delicious! Highly recommended, if looking for gigantic generous portions of delicious food with some unique selections as well, right in the heart of downtown Morristown!

    Brunchwich
    Stephen L.

Food: Pretty good brunch options with some classics as well as unique creations. - Brunchwich ($20) - A tasty unique creation with pork, bacon, egg, and American cheese sandwiched between two pieces of fluffy French toast. While this was a bit of an oily / heavy brunch item, it was certainly quite tasty with a nice combo of sweet and savory. I got it with sweet potato waffle fries which were very plentiful and yummy. - Pumpkin Pancakes ($14) - This is a limited time seasonal brunch option and a pretty good one. There wasn't all that much pumpkin flavor though. There was some tasty frosting / sauce on top which helped keep the pancakes nice and moist. The portion size was normal. The fruit on the side was slightly disappointing though- not because it wasn't good or fresh but because it lacked much variety (it was mainly just honeydew and cantaloupe with a couple pineapple chunks). Environment: I would describe the decor as "nice barn" decor, which is a good thing in this case. There is a sort of wooden theme and they also added some cute Halloween decor given the time of year. There is a decent amount of seating, although it can get busy during peak brunch hours / on the weekends. We only had to wait around 10 minutes for a table to open up for a weekend brunch though. Service: The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service speed is pretty quick. Overall: Great local brunch spot in Morristown. Would recommend if you are in town.

There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining.
