We dined here recently on a Sunday around lunch time. When we entered the hostess was already holding 3 menus and didn't ask if we'd like to sit outside, just rushed us over to a booth near the entrance by the hostess booth. Felt odd but, whatever. The menu is a huge, typical diner menu. Loaded with tons of options, including a children's menu. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed and therefore incredibly rude. She ignored us for a while running around to other tables. We finally ordered and I had a question about the children's menu and she was very rude and said something along the lines of "that doesn't even matter right now". OKAYYY so sorry I asked a question. The vibes were like we were bothering her by just being there. While we waited for our food we overhead the hostess taking an order over the phone. When she hung up she immediately started making fun of the customer who just ordered. When our food came out the waitress repeatedly told my 3 year old not to touch his plate because it was VERY hot. Why are we bringing food from the children's menu to a child on a dangerously hot plate? The food was very mediocre. My potatoes tasted incredibly sour, almost spoiled. My husband ordered a burger and said it was "fine". My son had grilled cheese. Overall felt un-welcomed and disappointed. read more

Our Rotary club has our breakfast meeting every Friday morning at the Florham Park Diner in their large back room. Service is excellent and I typically order eggs, home fries and toast, but occasionally alternate with oatmeal and blueberries instead. I recently tried a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel and it was great! Ate half of it there and brought the other half home for a filling lunch later. I think it was the first time that I ordered an egg white omelet and instead of being a smaller portion than asked for, it was larger than any omelet I have ever seen!!! I also indulged in some GF banana walnut pancakes with maple syrup and they were so delicious The diner had a the classic setup with a new era twist to it. I loved that the placemats are the old school advertisement placements we all grew up with. The owners and the staff were very attentive and genuinely friendly. This is another great Jersey diner that I'll be adding to my rotation! It's small compared to others, and the parking can be a bit of a squeeze, but it's definitely worth it! I found it to be clean and decorated nicely for the fall season. The hostess was friendly and the waiter we had was outstanding! The food here tastes better than the average diner (and I enjoy diner food so that says a lot for me.) We got the pancake deluxe and the hungry man breakfast & both were yummy and filling! They never get the order correct. Owners and waitstaff fighting in front of customers. A terrible customer service. Go elsewhere.

Although I have been going there for many years, they never greet us with a hello. They are not very friendly and sometimes service is very slow. The food is usually good but some of the day specials are not fresh. Uh,oh, now they charge an extra 3% if you use your credit/debit card. We wont go back again unless we can pay with cash. We will go to another restaurant that does not charge extra for use of a credit card. read more

As someone who has tried many many diners in this area, florham park has consistently been my favorite. The quality of their food is always amazing, and the people are absolutely lovely. Places like these fill me with such NJ pride :~) Today my friend and i shared this gorgeous coke float and i tried the mediterranean omelet, which had bits of sundried tomato and feta in it. I usually dont get omelets, and i was super pleased with how much i liked it! The home fries were also great and they give you a perfect amount to complement your omelet. Also random note but i usually never have toast at diners since i dont get omelets often but i really enjoyed the buttered side they gave, i thought it all paired together perfectly. My friend got the eggs benedict and loved. My only note is to maybe skip the onion rings! We replaced her home fries with them and they were a little short on taste and texture. read more

Easy to miss if you aren't looking. Located in a strip mall is usual for a diner but it works here. We sat in a big booth and enjoyed our time. The eggs benedict were nicely done. My best friend and her kids and I came in to have breakfast together, and we were greeted as we came through the back entrance. (More parking is available in the back.) We were seated at a table. Then, a waitress with lavender/blonde hair was our server. She came to the table, and it was as it she had an attitude the way she put the water down and threw the straws on the table. My best friend and I glimpsed at each other and guessed that maybe our service isn't wanted here? Fast forward, she ordered her kids food, it came. Then she shoved her son's burger to him instead of handing it to him, then put down her daughters pancake to give her. Another red flag! We ordered our food after the kids' food came, and the waiter seemed to be in a better mood? Maybe because she'd have to hand out the check soon? The food was great, lettuce was fresh, and tomatoes. However, I don't think this place would need my business. The weird looks the waitress gave us when we left, just because the kids wanted a lollipop? Other than that, not great With so many diner options in the area, this was my least favorite A group of 6 waitresses, and manager stood around for the entirety of our meal talking what looked like crap on other people and even a customer. Nice place to get lunch! Smelled clean when you walk in. Friendly staff and quick service! My panini was good but I would've liked it warmer and just a tad bit less red onion. If the red onions were pickled or sautéed it would've been amazing! It's was a bit tricky to get to this lot from the Florham Rink but once there, there was ample parking. This meal was the literal definition of what you (or at least I) think of when you eat at a diner. I had pancakes, they were good not great. Coffee was coffee. My colleague had a breakfast sandwich we didn't discuss in any way shape or form. It was literally... standard. This might sound like a slam against them, but it at least felt consistent: you can very much know what to expect. Or maybe I just didn't get the right meal. I will say, the waitress we had must have had a hard day, 'cause boy she was not kind at all. Very quick to walk away, uninterested, simply wanted our order and didn't say a word otherwise. I asked him for vinegar to improve it, and he gave me red wine vinegar. It was still awful. Very average diner located in a small strip mall. Started with the Manhattan clam chowder. Tasted like it was sitting out a bit too long. Very salty, too much potato and no clams in sight. I ordered the Spanikopita which was listed as a dinner special. Very disappointing. It was clearly over heated in a microwave. Served molten hot, slightly burned with a rubbery consistency. I didn't send it back which I now regret. My wife ordered the Pistichio which was a little bit better. But that's not saying much. The service was very slow and non attentive. Finally a classic Greek diner. I was greeted with smiles, I was instantly seated. The menu was fantastic and overwhelming. I headed straight to the specials and I had some fish and chips which were probably the best ones that I've had in a long time. The coleslaw was deliciously fresh, and obviously homemade the fish was cooked to perfection and the batter, perfect. At no point did I have to ask for anything... not a refill for my coffee... not extra napkins. The service was second to none and the place is spotless and beautiful inside. It's obviously been quite a while since I've been to this diner, as I mentioned to the woman at the counter that the place looked great since the renovation and she looked at me funny and said "that was 6 years ago"! Oh well, it was worth the wait since we had a really nice lunch. One big improvement is that they have much more space. There's plenty of seating now and today at least, there was no wait at lunch. My wife had an avocado omelette and I went with the standard diner test...eggs over easy with crispy bacon. All the food was delicious as was the coffee! Server was very friendly, prices average, and the diner had a nice atmosphere. We'll be back! read more

Good food but the last two times we came, the service was very slow and pretty terrible. Both times they completely forgot about us at various times. I suspect the diner is extremely understaffed. We will stick to the East Hanover Diner for a while. read more
