Their burger deluxe - served up fast at the bar counter today!
Daniel B.

Fast, courteous service at lunch! Kept it simple today with a burger deluxe and it was great! Huge, excellently cooked burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle spear and coleslaw. Fries were great and the whole dish was sort of nostalgic of how I remember the burger deluxe platter from years back - hot, plentiful, not fancy yet delicious! My first visit here and definitely worthy of a return trip!

Assembled waffle.

Great service and great food. The booth was a bit tight for my 300 pounds, but I survived. Real cream for the coffee was a plus. They had the fantastic New Jersey milk that should be more famous outside of the state. The breakfast was really good.

Belgian waffle- whip cream, ice cream and strawberries

Shining example of why NJ diners are the best. The service here is really why this place gets 5 stars. We came on Father's Day and were seated really fast. We came looking for dessert and decided on a Belgian waffle with all the fixings. But our waitress sold us on their peanut butter pie too. We ended up getting both, which came out really quickly. Both desserts were pretty stellar and would come back easily to get them again. Will be back soon to try more of their large menu

It was good. Solid food and nice service. Better than most coffee served at regular coffee shops. A little dated interior but kinda charming

A must visit, but be ready. This is a true vintage diner car. You have to sit in a tight booth or…read moreat the counter. This is awesome for the ambience but not if you are larger person (I am not but my companion was.) also they only take cash. Now -- that said, step back into an earlier time when you come in here. It's one of the oldest diners in the country -- maybe the oldest? -- and you'll truly feel like you're in a movie. I recommend a weekday morning since it's a touristy thing! I had eggs over easy and sausage. Delicious and timeless. Fun!

The diner is inside a classic boxcar and not much has changed since opening - which is the way it should stay. The service was great and everyone was friendly and accommodating. We arrived around 12 PM on a Sunday and waited about 10 minutes for a table. They don't have high pairs but they have booster seats that worked just as well. We ordered Taylor, ham, egg, and cheese on a roll, two pancakes with scrambled eggs, and the front toast plate that came with eggs and sausage. Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a roll was standard and good. The French toast was tasty. The pancakes were very, very good. Definitely order these! The diner is no-frills. It's classic food served the original way. It really feels like an authentic New Jersey establishment and I love that it hasn't changed.

Our waiter was nice and never made us feel rushed. They have a great beverage menu, different iced teas, mocktails, coffees and even refreshers! I went for the lavender lemonade but honestly I had a hard time deciding. So did my sister, she opted for a matcha and the hibiscus iced tea. I couldn't resist ordering the butter and jam board, it's the name of the restaurant, you have to order it! I had no regrets on this decision, was it a lot for two people? Sure. Did I enjoy it immensely? Absolutely. There were three butters- lemon, cinnamon, and berry. All 3 butters were amazing but my absolute favorite was the lemon. There were 3 jams- berry, strawberry, and I believe orange. I was obsessed with the lemon butter paired with the berry jam... heavenly! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on that board. The breads for the spreads were croissant pieces, corn muffins and biscuits. I loved the biscuits the most. Unfortunately sister pretty was not feeling her best prior to our coming here, so she was content with the breads and spreads and opted to only get a smoothie with added protein. She said it was exactly what she needed and she perked up for the rest of our time together. I ordered the steak and eggs burrito and it did not disappoint! The steak was so juicy and tender- my only complaint is I wanted more!! The eggs were cooked perfectly, and there was a generous amount of avocado. It came out in a large plate and didn't have a side, I think they would do well to note on the menu or verbally when you're ordering that for an extra $___ you can get a side of fries, because I didn't think of it, but if it was told to me I definitely would have opted for a side. We had a great experience here and I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

I enjoyed a delectable dinner last night that was wonderful from start to finish. The figtastic martini was addictive! It was the perfect combination of fig flavored vodka, pomegranate juice, elderflower liqueur and fresh lemon. For starters, I tried the spinach and artichoke dip that was topped with crispy bacon that wasn't greasy. Also, I tried garlic parmesan pretzel sticks with a really tasty cheese sauce. For my entree, I had a delicious burger that was cooked perfectly and was accompanied by fries that weren't greasy. The burger and fries was a sizable portion, but I still managed to make room for dessert. The brownie with ice cream that I had was fantastic, but I absolutely will order the house-made bread budding that my friend said was to die for! Our server, Erick, was attentive, knowledgeable and very pleasant. I will absolutely be back, particularly for that bread pudding!
