    Overpriced and underwhelming grilled cheese

Wow! What a ripoff this place is. I'm surprised it's as popular as it seems to be. Ordered the $12.45 grilled cheese (see pic). Total basic b**ch of a sandwich and comes with absolutely nothing on the side. I'd say it's maybe worth $6.75. Throw in NJ tax and a tip and this sad sammy is just shy of $16. How's it taste? Nothing special. Super basic.

The service is decent. They ran out of grilled chicken but gave me the option to substitute it for oven roasted turkey breast. Asides from that the sandwich was good along with the cappuccino which I was hoping for a glass cup instead of paper. Somewhat pricy for the sandwich.

Came in for a quick, healthy and simple lunch and Batavia checked off all boxes. Food is ordered at the counter and they have a wide variety of sandwiches, soups and salads. This is basically like a non-chain gourmet version of Panera Bread. There is plenty of outdoor patio seating and indoor seating which is a mix of tables and cozy couches. On to the eats- I ordered a chicken salad wrap with tomato and cucumber. The wrap was stuffed with alot of chicken salad and the chicken was really fresh and all white meat. My Dad ordered some sort of chicken avocado club sandwich and enjoyed it. This is a nice option if you don't feel like sitting down for lunch but also want something that is healthy and freshly prepared. Although I was initially eyeing The Committed Pig up the street, I'm glad that I made the choice to take the healthier route at Batavia. I'm not in Summit super often but would certainly consider for next time!

Based on weekday breakfast time .. conviniently located near Summit downtown and station area. Amole paid street parking. Seemed like a comfy spot to work with free wi-fi, coffee and cafe like menu. Reason for 3 stars was food, had much higher expectations before entering in terms of presentation and service. Coffee latte and chai tea were given in to-go cups in-spite of being a sit-down order. Egg sandwich was nothing special - had to add salt and pepper with each bit to make up for taste. Although just before existing we saw soups being set up and vegi coconut soup caught our attention. Will try it put some time.

What a cool place to hang out and just chat, chat, chat. I tend to have a 3-hour breakfast with a certain co worker, let's call her Grace, and she usually buys it for me. Today she recommended the Breakfast sandwich and I ordered Huevos Mexicanos, but I think, what I got was Batavia grilled cheese- a panini in white french bread with eggs and bacon which I consumed in a heartbeat. It was a delicious mistake. Since her wrap hadn't come yet, we just chatted, chatted, and chatted. Ahh, they didn't get her order. She placed it again and ordered one more breakfast for me, the right one. That's generous! She loved her breakfast wrap and I enjoyed my second breakfast.

I L O V E D I T! Since the very first moment when I walked in I felt in love with this place. First thing I noticed was all the paintings they have all over the restaurant, and then I saw their soup bar , The smell.... SO GOOD. You can bring your family to this place, They have kid's meals, they have soups, salads, pancakes... everything! The customer service was outstanding, the guy responded to all of my questions about their salad's menu. Finally I decided to get a custom salad. It was very fresh and The best salad I have ever had! Something that made this salad different from the other ones was the Turkey they gave me. They Roast the Turkey e v e r y morning! I have to be back for the Soup Bar.

My breakfast sandwich- Taylor has, egg and cheese and I added some bacon too.. YOLO!!

What a nice place to start a morning with a cup of coffee, a breakfast sandwich and two friends to chat with!! Because I didn't have early morning meetings at work in the City,I decided to meet up with two girlfriends for a quick breakfast and Batavia was perfect. A quick walk from the train station and the perfect selection of breakfast items. I chose a breakfast sandwich - Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on their homemade focaccia and it was delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted with a slight crunch yet tender inside. My friends ordered oatmeal with fruit and yogurt with fruit - both much healthier choices than mine and they were both pleased with their selection. Besides the food, the restaurant was more like sitting in your friend's home. We could've stayed all day chatting and eating.. I will definitely be back to try another item from their menu..

One of my favorite lunch spots in Summit! The food is always good and definitely a healthier option if you're health conscious! Veggies are fresh, coffee is delicious and desserts are gluten free!

Specifically, their cold brew which is extremely smooth and strong, and in my opinion you don't even need to put anything in it unless you really want something sweet, although why would you get a cold brew if that's the case lol. Also packs quite a bit of caffeine so you'll be good for the rest of the day. Their pastries are pretty solid as well, although a bit on the pricier side. The cafe itself is on the smaller side but still an ample amount of seating. It's excellent for meeting with a friend, however the tables are rather small so it is less study friendly unless you manage to snag one of the bigger tables by the entrance. Which is admittedly pretty tough to do unless you get here right when it opens or catch a lucky break when someone leaves - I speak from experience. That said, it's overall a pretty solid spot to get work done. Parking in downtown Summit is a pain in general, I usually just park in the lot and walk over. Limit is at 5 hours and you will have to walk back if you want to extend it. There might be parking available by the cafe, but I'm personally less confident on how long you can to stay before getting ticketed/booted, so do so at your own risk.

I especially liked the crispy chicken sandwich and will definitely be returning for it. It was simple but the chicken was crispy, the bread was fresh, and it was loaded with fresh veggies. The pastel was just okay for us, but we ate pastel snobs. It didn't really compare to the ones we had in Lisbon, but it is comparable to some of the better bakeries in Newark. The ambiance was also very cute. It's self-seat and casual, but that was perfect for our quick lunch stop. They also have a cute nook if you prefer some privacy.

We came right before closing, and even while they were winding down, the space felt clean, cozy, and welcoming. I ordered a small vanilla protein cold brew ($8) through the InKind app for easy pickup -- it hit the spot. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but being right downtown, I can easily see this being a popular stop during peak hours. It's a great place for fueling up before hitting the local shops -- or recharging after. There are tables, chairs, and outlets available if you're planning to stay and get some work done, though we were just grabbing and going. We lucked out with street parking, but I imagine it depends on timing. Friendly staff, smooth ordering, and a cozy vibe. It's on the pricier side, but I'd still come back for another fuel-up.

But I may have been expecting to taste more of what is in the name. I also had The Bell. The warm brie cheese felt like it just melted in your mouth. there was a type of light jam smeared on and in the sandwich that complimented the turkey really well. Freshly made and warm. It was all around really good. It is a very pleasant experience. since I was eating in, they put the coffee in proper mugs that they just wash and reuse. The decorations had a warm industrial vibe to it. Like modern references but not flashy. One of their, lets say shrines, was a bunch of popular couples from TV shows and movies that people may know. It was next to a big open tree art piece. So its not always going together but didn't feel out of place. The music was pleasant and not loud to the point where you couldn't talk to a companion. The shop is along a busy street but they actually have a free parking lot in the next block over. It is certainly going in my list of shops to bring others too. It has a lot going for it and my takeaways has me thinking this business is going to stay open for a long time with all its good points.
