Thankful for such kind/accommodating hosts and subs that were fresh, delicious and gigantic. (When I say gigantic, I mean I ordered a full sub, and when it arrived, I thought I received TWO full subs. Each half measured in at 8-1/2 inches each.) The price... unbelievable. Sorry other sandwich guys, we have a new fav in New Providence. Also noticed wraps, great salads, and more listed on that menu board. Thank you Avenue Deli, for such a pleasant experience. I'm proud to write the third review! The pizza is incredible..the 12" American Pie ($16) and 12" Cacio e Pepe ($18) are perfectly delicious with toppings so evenly distributed that every bite is full of flavor. They use olive oil too, no cheap oils and their website is "nojunkpizza." The business adds real charm to little Berkeley Heights town and the inside is more spacious than others there.

And I find myself craving it! I'm gluten-free and their vegan, gluten free crust is amazing! I have had their Capracotta (twice) and Ruchetta and both were excellent! My husband has also had one of their pizzas and enjoyed it, but his favorite is their chicken parm, at the moment. He said it is so good! They did an excellent job with the interior of the space and all the employees have been very nice and helpful. So happy to finally have a great pizza place in town. Millburn is the flagship store, so naturally there are menu items exclusive to this location. I've noticed that the hours of operation here are slightly different than all of the others (this one opens and closes earlier). There's minimal parking in front of the store, rarely available. Your best bet is to park on the side of the store in the small parking lot. It's free for the first 30 minutes, but there is a meter. I love that the lot is also connected to Taylor Park, a cute neighborhood open space with a fountain. The 5 stars continue to stick for me because I've never had a bad sandwich here. My favorite two are The Griller #8 (with extra pesto or garlic mayo, depending on my mood). And the Friday Joe is always a hit! This time I opted for the Egg Salad sloppy joe with red onion. They could be more generous with the pickles. But the sandwich is a hit! I always appreciate that if you ask to sample anything, they're more than happy to oblige. The service is efficient and even if it's crowded they move pretty quickly. It can be a bit overpriced, especially if you want to substitute or add anything. But it's always satisfying and worth it in the end.

The gobbler sandwich is yummy, The Godfadda, The Gossip Girl, I also have had an egg salad with layer of tuna salad Sloppy Joe-that is amazing! The Cobb salad is also a fave. My friends rave about all the sandwiches they have tried. They are very friendly behind the counter and the order takers are fast and efficient. It gets crowded but moves fast.

You know those days when you're on your lunch break and realize you still have to go food shopping?…read moreToday was that day. Hungry and very short on time, I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich from the Chatham Sandwich Shop. My order was ready for pickup in less than ten minutes. The sandwich was melt-in-your-mouth amazing--the kind of lunch that makes you stop after the first bite and think, "Oh, that's good." There's something comforting about places that do simple things exceptionally well. The Chatham Sandwich Shop is one of those classic sandwich shops that doesn't need to try too hard. Good food, quick service, and exactly what I needed on a busy workday. Five stars. I'll be back--probably the next time I ignore my grocery list.

We came a little later in the afternoon, probably closer to 2 PM, but there were still quite a few people having lunch, which is always a good sign. My friend ordered the tuna sandwich on sourdough, and I got the chicken salad on sourdough. Everything tasted fresh and yummy, and the sourdough was really good! We also got the macaroni salad to share, and honestly, it might have been my favorite part! It was perfect - not drowning in sauce like how other places make it, and I loved the fresh veggies mixed in. I would genuinely come back just for the macaroni salad, but I'd definitely be down to try some of their other sandwiches too! Not sure if we were the weird ones for getting macaroni salad as our side because I noticed everyone else seemed to be having a bag of chips with their sandwich..... Either way, no regrets! Definitely a cute little sandwich spot I'd come back to!

Everything about this experience was fantastic minus the girl behind the counter who was a bit tired and grumpy. However, last week I looked them up and ordered through Yelp (facilitated by Grubhub, apparently). I ordered 2 of the roast beefs, 2 chopped chickens and a chicken Caesar salad and salivated during my 30 min drive to pick up. I arrived to an entirely still and locked store. No sign of anyone. I've often noticed vendors failing to update working hours, and that is frustrating. But what's worse is when I've got Yelp blaming Grubhub and Grubhub blaming everyone. I called and there was never anyone at the store though Grubhub took my money and gave me a pickup time. They agreed to refund me in several days but did absolutely nothing to compensate or remedy the situation and took no responsibility. So I will not be using Grubhub again (and that may mean ordering through Yelp if they only work through Grubhub). I hope Carved cleans up their act with times. Very frustrating when nobody takes responsibility and I don't know whether I can even trust ordering food through Yelp.

It was super filling, and we had a hard time finishing it. The bread was soft and delicious. The sandwich cost $18.00. It was juicy enough that it didn't need to be dipped in the au jus. I would have given it 5 stars, but it was on the salty side. They told us that they will start serving meals in the future.
