    23. Avocado Sandwich
    Mike H.

Small grilled cheese specialist dishing out heavy cheesy sandwiches to bar goers on weekend nights. I got the avocado grilled cheese meal ($12.49) which comes with chips and a drink. I got lays and Minute Maid orange juice. The sandwich is $9.99 a la carte. Excellent value considering the sandwich is large and heavy. Not the best sandwich you'll have, but it hits the spot after the bars.

The food was alright I gave it a 6 or 7 out of 10 the lady at the front was nice but as she was explaining the bills on the wall the guy in the kitchen came out and told us to hurry up and order them though they had just opened and it was only us inside. Don't get the Mac and Cheese it isn't good whatsoever and honestly ruins the sandwich and don't get it alone too if they don't microwave it long enough it's still cold and he didn't check. Idk if it was only for us but weird tbh...‍

Their grilled cheese are simply the best! We love their buffalo chicken one. Usually we order delivery and when it arrives we put 5min into the oven and then is as fresh as if they had they made it!

Couldn't resist stopping in for a grilled cheese in Morristown. Great service and was homie and perfect for a cold winter day. We each ordered an original grilled cheese sandwich for $6.99 each which we picked our favorite cheeses. I chose cheddar (for flavor), mozzarella (for stretch), and havarti (because it's havarti). There are a total of 8 cheeses to chose from. And then added on a bowl of tomato soup for $3.99. They also have a $.99 tomato dipper option for a small cup which is a good idea since the portion size was huge with a bag of chips. Our sandwiches hit the spot even though a thicker sliced bread would have been even more decadent it was still like my mom used to make. I was tempted to get the Mac & Cheese grilled cheese but liked the tomato which had a fresh element to the decadent cheesy sandwich. The service was great, they even brought us waters to our table. I would definitely come hear for a late night bit too after going to the bars.

New place for me. Very small place. But big results. Staff of two. But great sandwiches. Who would think of a grill cheese place. We'll this place did. And they are doing it well. The bread is perfectly sized for their sandwiches. I tried the roast beef and cheese. And it was perfect. I also wanted lettuce and tomatoes on mine and they accommodated me. This was a filling sandwich to say the least. They have few sides you can also get to go along with it. And it's prices great.

Since I was in Morristown anyway, I stopped by the Melt Factory which I had bookmarked for quite some time. It's a hole in the wall that serves grilled cheese. Every sandwich comes with a bag of chips, and they also serve soup. You order at the counter, and they'll bring your sandwich to your table. My initial thought was "Why is a regular grilled cheese sandwich $5.95?" But I got one anyway and found that each order actually seems to be 2 sandwiches, so the price isn't bad for two sandwiches and a bag of chips. We got the regular grilled cheese and the al fresco. Both sandwiches were served on white bread. For the regular, I got the American, Cheddar, and Pepper Jack cheeses. The cheeses didn't really melt into a homogeneous mixture as you can see in my photo. The Al Fresco had provolone, mozzarella, and roasted peppers. I found it a little bit bland, since roasted bell peppers aren't spicy and neither of those cheeses are particularly sharp. Neither sandwich was particularly well buttered. It was good and the price was OK, but I really can't think of a good reason to give a place that sells grilled cheese sandwiches that can easily be made better at home more than 3 stars

The first time I heard about the Grilled Cheese Factory was in a living social deal. But the ideal seemed novel and I decided it was at least worth buying a deal. The first thing you notice is that it's a small place, it could make seat 15-20 max. Then the menu is pretty simple but has some interesting things on in none the less. The staff was super nice but it's a small operation. As for the food, the sandwiches are large so they are pretty filling, I got the pull pork sandwich and it was pretty amazing. The sandwiches are a little pricey but worth the cost if you think about what you are getting. All in all I can't wait to come back here.

We tried two of the sandwiches here, and were unfortunately left disappointed. We had the Jersey Special and the Avocado. Overall, the avocado was better, but neither was great. Both too large and too greasy (might work for a 3AM meal, but not for a family lunch). As others have said, the interior could definitely use updates. And with no ramp, it is not easily stroller accessible. The Jersey Special is taylor ham and american cheese. This has potential, but the ratio is off in my opinion. Can hardly taste the cheese, which is kind of an issue when ordering a grilled cheese. Too much Taylor ham which dominates the taste. The Avocado is grilled chicken, mozzarella, ranch, guacamole, tomato. As I said, this was better. But too much ranch dressing for me. Just very heavy and hard to finish. Was looking forward to trying this as I've heard good things, but not likely to be back often.

All 8 cheeses on one sandwich! Delicious.

First time there. Nice selection of cheeses, which I expect for a grilled cheese place. So I ordered a sandwich with one of each. :D My friend had a pulled pork. His was light on the meat and overall a fairly skimpy sandwich, but I didn't ask about taste. I think if you just order straight off the menu, you'll end up fairly disappointed with what you get. But if you put together your own toppings, it can be a very, very good thing. I'll give it another shot with some different choices and see if it earns its stars, but this place definitely has me coming back for more. (By the way, you can park just to the south on Pine St. for free during the day. Worth every penny.)

This place reminds me of my grandparents house in Brooklyn. I find on Yelp a grilled cheese place on the app (Love grilled cheese sammys) When your facing the building, it looks like a house. (It was at one time) Walk up the shared porch, the entrance is to the right Past someones front door Then, walk into Grilled Cheese At the Melt Factory You can tell this was someones house! The small seating area was the living room and the kitchen was probably.. The kitchen thats now has a counter to order. I ordered the Fresco which is a grilled mozzarella & provolone cheese and roasted peppers that came out of a jar. Add a free bag of chips? $6.95 was my total cost for lunch. A nice grilled cheese sammy to warm your belly.

This establishment takes advantage of their customers. Food quality was so bad and for the amount we paid it should have been much better.

I've driven by this food truck countless times and there's always been a line, but it's gotten even crazier since TikTok blew it up. I came early and still waited about 20-30 minutes before placing my order, but honestly, the wait didn't even feel that bad. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the wait in line a no sweat. While everyone was waiting, they handed out free fries with their homemade sauce, which was such a nice surprise! They also passed out bottles of cold water and even let parents with young kids order first. It's little gestures like these that really show they care about their customers and their community. The chimichurri and all of their sauces are made fresh daily, and you can definitely taste the difference--they're absolutely delicious!! I had everything on my steak and fries (Steak was made medium rare to order and just how I like it; fries were crispy good!!) Beyond the amazing food, the father and son owners were some of the kindest people I've met. They genuinely radiate positivity, treat everyone with respect, and create such a welcoming atmosphere. It's rare to find a place with incredible food and people who care this much about their customers. This is the kind of local business that deserves all the success! I'll definitely be back!

First, the wait was completely worth it. If you get there early, you can probably avoid the line, but even if you can't, don't let that discourage you. Good food is worth a few extra minutes of patience. As someone who pays attention to the details, I always take a quick look inside food trucks and kitchens when I can. I was genuinely impressed by how clean, organized, and professional everything looked. It's clear they take pride in what they do. Now, let's talk about the food. The fries were fresh and clearly made in-house--not the typical pre-packaged fries you find everywhere else. The steak portions were generous (they definitely don't believe in counting pieces), and the combination of flavors and sauces came together perfectly. Every bite was better than the last. By the time I finished, I was already planning my next visit. There are still several items on the menu I want to try, and if they're anything like what I had, my diet may be in serious trouble. Highly recommended!

On to the pizza- have tried many Detroit style pizzas over the years, I would say this was more Detroit "inspired", Aside from the edges, It had a soft bready crust - a little too fluffy compared to the crisp, almost focaccia-like crust we are accustomed to. They were of the potato variety. Since they were made to order, they came out piping hot. My thoughts on each are below. The temperature really made a difference as I tried a few bites after they cooled down and it was not the same. All of the donuts were appropriate in size and somehow appeared very light. I wonder if that was attributed to the potato variety. I just could not believe how much the hot temperature made a difference in all four. Original Cinnamon Sugar - This was very good with plenty of sugar present. Raspberry Jam - There was a ton of raspberry jam here and it was great. Nutella - There was an excessive amount of Nutella here and it worked out well with the hot donut texture. It was unreal. Cannoli - This was great too.
