A go to spot for lunch (although on the pricier side). Some of my favorites include, vodka stracciatella pie, meatball & ricotta pie, squash and farro salad, and the crispy chicken caesar hero. Excited for when their extended dining room finally opens up!

This was my second time having aid here, but this time I got it delivered. The first time I got a grandma pie, which is not my favorite. Pie in general to get any establishment it was pretty good for sure but a little bit more on their expensive side but most of the time those types of pies are at any place this time I got a regular cheese pie, which was delicious and very tasty. I ordered the chicken Parm meal and it tasted pretty good. There's a lot of other stuff. I would definitely try here and it's very quality food.

Stopped by here while I was in the area and so glad I did! Cute casual but lovely interior with seating indoor and outdoor. You order at the front and can seat anywhere in the restaurant. If you're doing take out you pick it up in the back. They have sandwiches, pizzas and pastas available. You can't purchase pizzas by the slice you have to order the full pie, prices are around $30 for the full pie. I ordered pasta to go which came with a slice of sourdough bread. They also had a grab and go area for drinks and an array of pastries, I got a Nutella donut which was also delicious. I got the vodka rigatoni pasta which was so good! Great flavor and can't wait to come back for more food and pastries.

I visited Coniglio's Old Fashioned for a casual family meal while visiting downtown Morristown. We ordered the Brooklyn Round pie, and the pizza was excellent. The crust and dough had a really tasty, unique flavor that stood out from other pizzas I've had. We also got salads, which were fresh and a good size. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that's expected given the area. Service was good -- you order at the counter. The vibe is trendy with nice garage doors that open up onto the sidewalk, giving it a nice, open feel. It wasn't busy when we went in the middle of the day, but from what I've seen at night, it gets super packed. They're planning to expand next door. The baked goods looked tempting, though I didn't try any this time. Overall, I'd recommend Coniglio's if you're looking for a more upscale pizza spot in Morristown.

Updated review a couple of years and many visits later: this was five stars on our first try, but unfortunately I have to take a star away for lack of consistency from this place. The round pies are always solid, but the Sicilian is completely hit or miss; when it's good, it's GREAT, but when it's not, it's just okay, and at this price point, it needs to be great every time time. (Sidenote, the Tavolino guy I mentioned in my first review left after a few months and opened his own place in Rutherford called Casano's.) They started serving breakfast a while ago, sandwiches and different pastries, which I really like, but again, the consistency is lacking. The bomboloni were soft, fluffy, doughy perfection when Coniglio's first started making them, but lately they've been way overcooked/too dark on top. The eggs on the breakfast sandwiches are super fluffy and plentiful, but again, if I'm paying $10 for a sausage/egg/cheese on a bagel, I would expect that. Still a great place, but we admittedly go less frequently than we thought we would because the price is too high for not knowing what you're going to get. I couldn't call myself a pizza connoisseur without updating my review to say that.

I think I have my new favorite spot for pizza in NJ. To be frank,it all started with my uneducated statement amongst friends that I'm yet to find tasty pizza in the state...this is definitely hit! And what's more, they have a great selection of sourdough pastries,Italian frozen delicacies and coffee under the same roof. Very cozy interior, musical background was on-point (think of 50's jazzy vibes). Once in,you need to order at the front but then the food is brought to your table. Our group of 5 ordered 2 pizzas and had just about enough room in our bellies for some desert (croissants & bambolinos!). Pizza choices were Vodka Straccatella and Nonna's Spinach-both had a lovely crust, but we all voted for the Vodka as our favorite because of its flavors and creamyness; Nonna's was a tad dry! Will definitely be back here to try some other items from their menu.

Come for the pastries or the pizza, you can't go wrong! This is my first time dining at Coniglios and I'll definitely be back! If you're coming for pizza, it's best to come with 2+ people since the pies are round. They do have a Detroit style pizza which is smaller and what I ended up getting. It was very delicious! The staff here are great too and super friendly! I'll be back with more friends to try the larger pies!

The pizzas are delicious and fresh and the staff is friendly and quick to get the food out to us even on a very busy night. The ambiance is nice and the location is convenient to the town center. Recommend.

The pizza is excellent. Unfortunately that's all I have to say because that's all we tried. Everything else looked great but it's about the pizza. It's actually so good that it's worth a trip to Morristown and it's associated parking debacle just to have it. I took off a single star because they don't offer slices which is annoying if eating alone or with just one other person. Since I stopped in, I've returned a few times and it's consistently good, delicious actually. So if you're ever in Morristown with at least one other person, you should pay them a visit. I\'m sure you'll be glad that you did. Kudos.

Catered from here, the pasta was ok, but better penne vodka and pizza at the Nonna's in Florham Park (as compared to the rigatoni a la vodka and margherita pizza). I do like the fresh loaves of bread, though, very tasty on that. Salad was so-so, and they didn't give enough dressing to use for folks. Desserts were good, though, I like the bombalonis and the cookies.

Located in the heart of Morristown, Coniglio's had been on my pizza hit list for a few years ever since a friend clued me in on them. Sure enough, an online search reveals they've won several awards, with some considering them as the best pizza in New Jersey, so I had to try them out even though Morristown is a bit outside of my normal dining radius. We had heard they served up old fashioned soda that was hand mixed, so had to try that out since I'm not aware of any other place that offers it. Honestly, we felt that it tasted like a slightly flatter version of your typical Coke, so although we're glad to have tried it, felt it was more of a novelty thing rather than something we'd try again. We wanted to try out several items, so ordered the mozzarella sticks, meatballs, vodka chicken parmesan sandwich, and the upside down Sicilian pizza. You could tell everything was high quality. The mozzarella sticks, while not the best I've had, were solid, and the hand breaded variety with just the right amount of flavor in the breading. The vodka chicken parmesan sandwich was very flavorful with a decent cut of chicken and the right taste of vodka sauce working in harmony with the cheese, but wasn't a fan of the sesame seed roll it was served on. Knowing how it's normally served, if I were to reorder it, I'd pass on the vodka sauce in favor of tomato sauce and ask for regular Italian bread without the sesame seeds. The upside down Sicilian pizza was a bit of a disappointment given the hype. We agreed that the dough/crust was the best part, but the cheese and sauce didn't have the flavor profile we prefer in pizza. The sauce relied too heavily on the herbs and the tomato really didn't pack much of a punch. It wasn't bad as all the ingredients were high quality, but it just wasn't in our wheelhouse for preferred pizza flavor; however, I can see how some who like more artisanal pizzas may really like it. If I were to return, I'd stick to one of their more traditional round pizzas to see how that fares rather than go with a Sicilian pie again. Their display of baked goods looked incredible, so we went with both the almond and Nutella filled croissants. They were both decent and above average in flavor, but also came with a hefty price tag in the $6-7 range, so probably wouldn't order them again unless I was really in the mood for a pastry. There wasn't much seating indoors, but staff did a great job of turning over tables quickly on a busy Saturday night. While they didn't have a formal wait staff and food was dropped off at tables, there was a super friendly elderly staff member bringing water to the tables and asking how everything was. Overall, the 4/5 Yelp rating seems just about right as all the food was fresh & high quality, but several of the recipes just didn't quite hit the mark with us. I recommend others give Coniglio's a chance to see for themselves, and look forward to returning to try out some of their other menu items.

Coniglio's is one of my favorite pizza restaurants in NJ. What I think separates itself from others is the flavorful options, such white tomato garlic, and the extra crunch in every bite. So good. I also eat some of the vodka stracchiatella pie and it was equally as good. Coniglio's offers outdoor seating in Morristown's busiest street and it is a great place for lunch with co-workers and/or friends. Highly recommend.

    Detroit Red

This was on my to eat list for a while, and it was definitely my bad for delaying! I ordered through Grubhub for delivery: The Detroit Red and Josephina's Grandma Pie. UGH chef's kiss... the crust THE CRUST the tomato sauce... it was great. The crispy cheese. I am actually close to this place, so I have no excuses now. You and me Coniglios forever or at least as long as I live around here. All I can say is, you should try it! Also, side note, the logo and marketing is really great.

Aside from vegans and vegetarians, who doesn't love meatballs?…read more At their most basic, they consist of ground meat (one or more varieties) rolled into a ball or oblong shape and can be found, with wild variation, around the globe. They are bound together with a little egg, milk, and perhaps breadcrumbs with some herbs and spices added to the mix. Located on a busy South Street in the heart of Morristown, my partner and I decided on dinner last night at Millie's Old World Meatballs and Pizza, named after the owners' grandmother, before the Mayo show. The location was ideal just a block away. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the staff and got a table inside the main dining room evoking modern Italy with an open kitchen, brick walls, chic red and black accents, and ambient electro music. Weather permitting, their loft-style garage door opens to the sidewalk for outdoors dining. Their menu features their specialties ... meatballs with both coal-fired and Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas as well as other traditional Italian recipes, which are fairly extensive. We decided on the Fettuccine Tartufo and a small Coal Fired Millie's Meatball Parmesan Pie. The food took some time, but we knew they were made with the finest ingredients and were absolutely delicious. The pizza was made from scratch, loaded with decent meatball slices, and had the right consistency where the crust was crispy and not burnt. Each dish on every table looked fantastic. We saved some room for dessert and shared their homemade Tres Leches cake. It was light, moist, and just the right level of sweetness. A little pricey across the board, but one can tell everything was made fresh. Our server was very pleasant. A perfect ending to an outstanding dinner, and our bellies approved. Definitely worth coming back for more than just meatballs and pizzas.

The sausage and broc rabe pie is A++. Hot take, I like their pizza better than Coniglio's. Obviously the meatballs are also amazing - topped with ricotta is the way to go. There's also a huge selection of other dishes. I love that they are BYOB and also love that they have a nice sized patio that's usually quiet, aka not as embarrassing when my kids wreak havoc. This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Morristown!

The Real Deal: Savios Pizza, Morristown…read more Listen, I spend a lot of time on the road between Elizabeth and Morristown, and I've eaten enough "emergency slices" to know when a place is actually putting in the work. I stopped into Savios during a gap in my schedule, and honestly? It's exactly what a Jersey slice should be. No bells, no whistles, just a solid piece of pizza that doesn't try too hard to be something it's not. The Breakdown: * The Fold: It's got that perfect crunch. You know the one--where the crust actually supports the cheese instead of turning into a soggy mess the second you pick it up. * The Sauce: It's got a bit of a kick to it. Not bland, not overwhelming, just a good, honest flavor that tastes like someone's grandmother was actually involved in the process. * The Vibe: It's fast, it's clean, and the people behind the counter actually seem to enjoy being there. In the world of quick grabs, that's a rare win. The Verdict: If you're running around Morristown and need a meal that won't let you down, Savios is the spot. It's reliable, it's delicious, and it didn't leave a grease puddle on my seat. Rating: 4.5/5. Definitely keeping this one on the rotation.
