I tried Krust Kitchen today for the first time after finding it on yelp. I had no idea it even existed and I'm not even more than 1.5 miles away at most I went with the original thin pan I guess reminded me sort of like a bar pie which I love. If I had to compare it to other classic pizzerias, I would compare it to star Tavern or reservoir in South Orange. I got it from DoorDash so it was a little bit colder, but I expect that so it's not the restaurant fault at all. But once I heated it up, it was delicious and the crust was the way I like it with a little burnt ends. I will definitely go back and try the other stuff, but I'm not super into the Detroit style, but I do want to try the wings and send some other stuff. Would definitely order again. Fair pricing also even with door dash fees + tip

Highly recommend this place for take-out. Prices are higher than other pizza joints, but you're getting the quality you pay for. On top of that, the owner Keith is a real nice guy and great about answering your questions. This is take-out only and not really any waiting room so don't arrive too early or be prepared to wait in your car. Tried several of their pizzas along with a few of their appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts over the last couple years. Their Detroit Style is their most famous, but you can't go wrong with any of their specialities. I personally loved the New York Style as well as the Trenton Tomato. Toppings are a little pricy to add on but their ingredients are fresh, so it's worth it if you feel like splurging on pizza a little bit. Their non-pizza items are also done well, so it's not just purely a pizza spot, and really with the menu huge as it is, you can most certainly find something for pretty much anyone. Desserts are pretty solid too. It depends on what you like, as I've enjoyed some and others not as much. I'll always recommend the Creme Brûlée Cheesecake, which even stays good to eat the next day, if for whatever reason you end up deciding to save it. If I have a complaint, it's that they don't offer lunch during the week and are closed on Mondays, but hey small price to pay.

Krust Kitchen is one of my favorite places to go to. As soon as I walked in Keith was there with a big smile and we had a great conversation. The garlic knots are my favorite things on the menu. For the price you pay ($11 is paying cash), you get a dozen garlic knots and a pint of marinara sauce.

This joint is a solid 4 stars. The customer service was great. Kelly, the GM was so nice. The toasted ravioli wasn't memorable. The sauce was great with it. The creme brûlée cheesecake was fire. 5 stars. Obviously, scratch made. The detroit pie got mixed reviews. The toppings ended up getting smashed on the roof of the box but it turned out alright. Tons of gooey cheese. The pepperoni was very good. We enjoyed the corner slices very much. Definitely will be back since it's around the corner from us and the menu is extensive.

That's not gooey cheese, that's raw pizza dough from our Detroit style pie The Signal 11

PSA to anyone curious about the Detroit style pie to perhaps choose another option, or another pizzeria altogether. We heard about this place and decided to try it out for the first time after seeing some pretty great reviews and the pies looked great! Unfortunately, photos did NOT reflect the product we consumed. The pies were on the pale side, the crust on the 'hand tossed' pie or the pan pie compared to a Dominos pie (and I'm being generous by saying that). But what I am really writing this review about, is the Detroit style pie. PLEASE DO NOT get this pie unless you want to ingest raw pizza dough. It is clear that the center of the pie did not reach the proper internal temperature to fully cook the dough. I was hesitant to eat it when the cheese seemed barely melted on the top, but figured they follow basic food safety measures to ensure the internal temperature of the pie would result in a cooked product - I was wrong. We were both sick as a result of just eating a couple bites before pulling the cheese back and realizing the dough was still raw. We reached out to them via their contact form on their website and haven't heard back. Truly disappointed with the product and the lack of customer care as we wanted to alert them to avoid anyone else from getting sick.

Small shop, takeout only, and a lot of those fun splurge foods that you'd be looking for after a night out. They open at 4pm Tuesday through Saturday and are open late, catering to the night crowd. I tried the 16 inch large plain pizza and it was great - a thinner crust and perfectly crispy! Also tried the pumpkin cheesecake which was bursting with pumpkin flavor - I believe this was a seasonal specialty but it's nice to see their dessert options updated frequently. A cool place to try - not cheap but has a lot of unique fun foods you won't be able to find elsewhere in Madison!

Decided to try a new pizza place in Madison for pick up on Uber Eats. My Daughter didn't want pizza so she ordered The Big Tex which is a "loaded bomb" with shaved rib eye, pulled pork, bacon, cheddar and BBQ sauce. She wasn't a fan but so it goes. I ordered the Memphis BBQ with chicken, bbq sauce, jack & cheddar cheese blend with red onions. It was exactly what I wanted and very yummy. My wife had a personal pizza made custom which she enjoyed. My other daughter got The Detroiter which she thought was too thick. My Wife killed it off. Really nice people here. I liked it and would order again. Jury is out on rest of the family though. Give it a try. I'm glad I did.

He's actually gotten some bit parts in independent films-- a Mafia wanna-be, a low-level thug, a Mafia enforcer, a bodyguard to the Mafia Don. He hasn't quite reached Sydney Greenstreet status, obviously, but he gets an A+ for effort. I've told him that when he gets the part of Seamus McGonigle, mystical poet and creator of whimsical artwork, then he'll know for sure that he's finally "made it" as an actor. Anyway...I digress...sorry...). I rode along as a passenger recently to visit his father in a nearby care facility (a major family issue, obviously, but I talked with his father at the place, and... although he seemed physically frail...we discussed old movies and he still seemed pretty sharp mentally, thank God!) and, afterwards, my friend was hungry, as was I. We weren't all that familiar with restaurants in the area, but he caught sight of Zio Gino in a tiny mall off of Shunpike Rd. and suggested that we try it out. I was agreeable, being both tired and hungry (I had to work the next day and wanted to make as early a night of it as possible). There was enough free parking in the lot fronting the mall, and the restaurant itself appears to be your standard neighborhood pizzeria. As much as I love pizza, I wasn't really in the mood for it. Thankfully, they offer a full-scale sit-down dinner menu. As I do in any Italian restaurant that's new to me, I ordered the Pasta Fagioli, and the lasagna. Service was pleasant, and efficient. Our orders were placed, and we were served with relative swiftness. I can't remember what my friend ordered, but I was served a moderately sized salad, and the soup in a large bowl. It was tasty and plentiful. The lasagna, too, was a large portion, and was tasty. Did it surpass the memory of my late mother's lasagna? No (I judge any lasagna I eat using the yardstick of that treasured memory), but I enjoyed it. Prices weren't cheap, but I can't think of any restaurants these days that serve plentiful portions of tasty food that charge "cheap" prices. Also...it is Chatham. If I have to register any complaint, it would be that the food could have been hotter (was that the result of microwave heating? Maybe. Probably.). I scarfed down everything on the plate and in the bowl, so obviously it wasn't a complaint of such gravity that I was forced to make an issue of it, but...it could have been served hotter. All in all, I'd recommend this restaurant; I'd like to return some day in the near future to try their pizza when I'm in more of a "pizza mood." And they also deliver and do catering. There's a catering menu printed on the back of their regular menu.

The ambiance is what one would expect from a casual BYOB -- slightly better than average decor; attentive but not overwhelming service; and freshly-made and tasty classic Italian favorites at reasonable prices. The dinner menu features a variety of Italian favorites including pastas, chicken, and shrimp dishes, which offers enough variety to appeal to everyone (including those with dietary restrictions like gluten or dairy intolerance). It's obvious that the chef takes pride making meals that present well and taste great. The avocado grilled chicken salad special was the real standout on a recent visit to Nonna's for dinner. A generous portion of mixed greens, fresh avocados, roasted peppers, and grilled chicken, topped with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. The chicken had a perfect char on the outside while remaining moist on the inside. It's hard to find a spot that doesn't overcook the chicken served on a salad, but Nonna's nailed it. We'll definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Nonna's is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Portions are often generous; consider sharing an appetizer or entree if you're not planning on taking home leftovers.
