Shake Hands with Sausage Slice!! So BIG It Barely Fits On A Plate!!
Bill M.

Formaggio's is serving up some seriously delicious Pizza ova'here and they're making their slices so freakin BIG that it doesn't even fit on a plate. Now THIS is what I'm talkin bout people!! Whoever said there's no such thing as "too much of a good thing" never had a slice of Pizza from Formaggio's. Plus Counter Service is friendly and you'll also find plenty of indoor seating options available. Come And Get Your MUNCH On!!

Meatball Slice

Stopped by for something quick after a lacrosse clinic so I was very hungry. The service was speedy. I had a slice with meatball and cheese, then sprinkled some oregano. Taste was amazing!! There was nice music playing as well with a cool breeze coming through the door. Only thing I didn't really like was that they don't offer boxes for single slices. But I would still rate 5/5!! I will return for sure

Ordered a good old fashion Cheese Pizza. I am very picky about my pizza. This for me is the best pizza in the area. The place is spotless! Pizza was nice and crispy a tiny bit sweet. Honest pizza review 8.2/10 but the service and the cleanliness makes it a 10/10 place for me. Service, food, and entertainment.

Half eaten chicken Murphy. Nice amount of spice and tender chicken. Rigatoni was good too

3.4 on yelp and 4.8 on Google? Y'all are hating. Came here 30 mins before closing and the staff was kind enough to let me eat in. Ordered a chicken Murphy and it was baller. Very tender chicken, potatoes cooked well, rigatoni pasta had a nice bite to it dish had a bit of spice kick and the sauce was really tasty. Salad was fine and bread was soft. Huge portion for a $17 entree. Excellent value, accommodating staff, highly recommended

The food and the service were great, the atmosphere is perfect for an easy night out for some great Italian cooking. Sauce was on point.

Recently got together with my old friend, who I haven't seen in a while (he's got some family…read moreissues going on, and is also trying to start an acting career in what little spare time he has. He's actually gotten some bit parts in independent films-- a Mafia wanna-be, a low-level thug, a Mafia enforcer, a bodyguard to the Mafia Don. He hasn't quite reached Sydney Greenstreet status, obviously, but he gets an A+ for effort. I've told him that when he gets the part of Seamus McGonigle, mystical poet and creator of whimsical artwork, then he'll know for sure that he's finally "made it" as an actor. Anyway...I digress...sorry...). I rode along as a passenger recently to visit his father in a nearby care facility (a major family issue, obviously, but I talked with his father at the place, and... although he seemed physically frail...we discussed old movies and he still seemed pretty sharp mentally, thank God!) and, afterwards, my friend was hungry, as was I. We weren't all that familiar with restaurants in the area, but he caught sight of Zio Gino in a tiny mall off of Shunpike Rd. and suggested that we try it out. I was agreeable, being both tired and hungry (I had to work the next day and wanted to make as early a night of it as possible). There was enough free parking in the lot fronting the mall, and the restaurant itself appears to be your standard neighborhood pizzeria. As much as I love pizza, I wasn't really in the mood for it. Thankfully, they offer a full-scale sit-down dinner menu. As I do in any Italian restaurant that's new to me, I ordered the Pasta Fagioli, and the lasagna. Service was pleasant, and efficient. Our orders were placed, and we were served with relative swiftness. I can't remember what my friend ordered, but I was served a moderately sized salad, and the soup in a large bowl. It was tasty and plentiful. The lasagna, too, was a large portion, and was tasty. Did it surpass the memory of my late mother's lasagna? No (I judge any lasagna I eat using the yardstick of that treasured memory), but I enjoyed it. Prices weren't cheap, but I can't think of any restaurants these days that serve plentiful portions of tasty food that charge "cheap" prices. Also...it is Chatham. If I have to register any complaint, it would be that the food could have been hotter (was that the result of microwave heating? Maybe. Probably.). I scarfed down everything on the plate and in the bowl, so obviously it wasn't a complaint of such gravity that I was forced to make an issue of it, but...it could have been served hotter. All in all, I'd recommend this restaurant; I'd like to return some day in the near future to try their pizza when I'm in more of a "pizza mood." And they also deliver and do catering. There's a catering menu printed on the back of their regular menu.

The young lady working was as perfect as can be and the pizza was good and hit the spot. Young, polite, hardworking people like her is what's missing from the workforce these days. Ample seating to eat inside too.

It's in a strip mall and while it could be easy to miss it also stood out to be a very busy place. (Great sign..) We walked in to lots of talks, laughs and the smell of HEAVEN.. A younger gentleman seating people was so friendly and super funny. He jokingly said we should have dessert before dinner, it's tastes better. It was light hearted fun and it set a nice tone. Christina came over to introduce herself, get us drinks and get us started. She could obviously read my face well because the menu was a bit overwhelming... in a good way though because I wanted to eat EVERYTHING!! She came over and told me she was going to choose for me and I liked that. She did not disappoint! Everything we had, including dessert, was phenomenal! Come here, eat it all and come back for more!

The ambiance is what one would expect from a casual BYOB -- slightly better than average decor; attentive but not overwhelming service; and freshly-made and tasty classic Italian favorites at reasonable prices. The dinner menu features a variety of Italian favorites including pastas, chicken, and shrimp dishes, which offers enough variety to appeal to everyone (including those with dietary restrictions like gluten or dairy intolerance). It's obvious that the chef takes pride making meals that present well and taste great. The avocado grilled chicken salad special was the real standout on a recent visit to Nonna's for dinner. A generous portion of mixed greens, fresh avocados, roasted peppers, and grilled chicken, topped with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. The chicken had a perfect char on the outside while remaining moist on the inside. It's hard to find a spot that doesn't overcook the chicken served on a salad, but Nonna's nailed it. We'll definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Nonna's is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Portions are often generous; consider sharing an appetizer or entree if you're not planning on taking home leftovers.
