We love Tino's. Their food is delicious and their artisan pizza's are unique and different from the many other pizza shops in town (and in the general area). We get takeout from here a lot, but they also have a decent number of tables inside and on occasion will eat there. It hasn't been busy inside the few times we have eaten here, so a great spot to bring our kids for a meal. The cacio e pepe pizza is my favorite, but I haven't had a pizza or dish that I didn't like. I liked that they have a decent amount of GF options like the pizza (vegan or cauliflower), hoagie bread, and cheesy garlic bread. We started with the cheesy garlic bread and I got a margarita gf pizza. The cheesy bread came out hot and full of flavor. Off to a great start. My pizza came out mostly hot and a little bland but had a good crust and crunch to it. The sauce isn't my favorite though. My sister wasn't a fan of her pizza since the pancetta pieces were huge and hard to eat and too salty. The place was fairly empty although they did have takeout orders but we were waiting an extremely long time for someone to take our order, to come back for entrees, and to get the check and to go boxes. Was trying to find a decent pizza while I'm in town and came across Tino's and gave it a try. It's a Wednesday night about 7 pm and no one in the dining room. I got scared right away. Two employees working the desk and said we can sit anywhere. Both very polite and accommodating. We made it simple, hot wings and a cheese pizza. THE PIZZA: baked in a real pizza oven which is always welcome. Fresh mozzarella and drizzled with EVOO. I want set the table up with shots of that pizza sauce! Excellent! Now THE WINGS: the buffalo is a Tino's blend...I'm guessing a tame version of Frank's Red Hot mixed with something sweet. They was OK, I was looking for more of a traditional buffalo wing with a bit of punch. NO FRYERS HERE....baked wings only. Been meaning to try this place for a long time after seeing how busy the Jersey city location gets.. severely disappointed. Firstly, the location was 90% empty on a Friday night. I didn't think anything of this frankly it's not important. The important part is that there are several employees working for only a few tables.. so I'm not sure why no one ever came to take our order. One of the busboys ended up coming up to us and asking if anyone is taking our order and he was shocked when we said no. Throughout the service, we did not have a dedicated waiter or waitress. We had whomever felt like coming over to us. Truly don't know why this happened. The food... the GF cheesy garlic bread was good. My sister's pizza looked like it was 3D printed lol. It also had a crazy amount of sauce. She was happy with the gluten free crust however. Not her favorite, but pretty good she said. My Amatriciana pie........ The color of the pancetta was completely gray and pink (you can see in pics) and soggy. Usually, pancetta is cubed up and pan fried until the fat has been rendered off. The pie was so salty and was complemented by bitter roasted garlic. It was roasted too far which eliminated the usual nuttiness of roasted garlic. I'm still disgusted thinking about the meat that was deemed acceptable to be served to me. My pie, unlike my sister's or boyfriend's, had a pool of oil under it as well. The total bill was $101. New Jersey is known for pizza so I'm confused as to how this place has so many locations. Very comparable to blaze pizza but more expense and not as tasty. read more

We have been here probably 100x since my initial review. The service is generally really good. The pizza is definitely better as well. If you dine in, it's so much better! Not saying take out isn't good but something about eating it fresh out of the over..yum! It's still BYOB but the wines they have aren't all that great. We go here probably 2-3x a week to get either their chicken bites (kids love em and they are baked), pizza (faves are Pesto, Cacio e pepe and no choice), sandwiches (cheese steak used to have these spicy peppers on them but they took them away so I stopped ordering them. Tuna is good though) and salads (Farro although the last few times it's been the Farro-less salad. How do you forget to add farro??? - it's when I do takeout and I am in a rush to check). I arrived after 8 pm on Saturday. The host was very welcoming, but warned my party the restaurant closes at 9:00 pm. We should have listened. Tino's is our go-to eatery whenever we're in the Madison area. The restaurant is part of a strip of stores and has plenty of parking. Our server, Ryan, approached us quickly and tended to us perfectly. One thing that we always thoroughly enjoy is the dishware that Tino's presents. Their appetizer dishes are made in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and beautiful. So beautiful, that when we returned home, I went out onto the Internet and purchased a few. Not only are they gorgeous, but they are always a talking point, whenever we present them to our guests. Our Burrata appetizer was so good. The mix of pear, arugula, cheese, and balsamic pearls made for a delicious course. The mixture of all of these ingredients was refreshing and the perfect start to a meal. Our entree, Margherita Pizza, was the right size to share. Each slice was nice and small and each bite was tasty, fresh, and we ate the entire pie. The other Tortollone entree was just as enjoyable and cheesy. If you have room for dessert, Tino's also has an assortment of gelato. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. This place is no joke! I am going to start with the atmosphere- I hate going to places when the door is open and it's freezing cold. Its place warm, cozy and totally inviting. We started off with a small bottle of wine. Perfect for just two people. It was wonderful to see if they had Zevia soda. He started off with gluten-free meatballs which were absolutely amazing. They definitely tasted like my mom's The octopus salad is not to be best. It's salty, fresh tasting just completely delicious capers, and all. The truffle pizza was absolutely amazing. We are visiting Madison and we ordered pizzas the other day. My brother said "this is some of the best pizza I've ever had" then he asked my 6 year old niece what she thought. She asked him how much he loves her and he said, "to the moon and back to infinity". Then she said, "That's how much I love this pizza." I think you can't get any better than that! I love that they also had gluten free options for us and I like an idiot put in the wrong phone number on my order and they personally made sure we got our pizzas delivered after a snafu because of my mistake. All I have to say is Wow! I was really impressed with Tino's. I love the simplicity and clean ingredients. There was no pooled oil on top, ingredients were fresh and absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy and thin, yet the edges were thick. We ordered the American and Sausage with peppers and onions. Finding a decent pizza spot in NJ has been a challenge as none of them meet my expectations given the price points they charge, but this one is solid. I've saved this place on my yelp as a place to go for awhile, I am not sure why I have not gone..but I have missed out. This place is amazing - probably one of my top places to get pizza in the area. It is FRESH which I love. We did a pick up order so I can't say much about the service for dine in. I will say our order was ready when they said it would be and the service was quick when I went in to get my order. They had a lot of orders and were super busy but managed it well. We got the veggie pie was great, tasted amazing. It was all fresh ingredients which was lovely, but the dough was a bit too flat/hard for my personal preference (I love a few air bubbles and softer crust). Very good pizza - definitely on the pricier side but it is considered "artisan pizza". We got the "Tino's Margherita" and the "Parm Pie" - the pizzas were extremely similar except the Parm Pie had breaded eggplant on it. Both were good - had fluffy dough with a tinge of burn to the crust, and the eggplant was a nice touch. I would go back but it would be as a splurge since for the price, I would consider it more of a personal pizza - I was able to eat the whole thing by myself in one sitting. There's so (too?) many pizza places in NJ but I'm always down to try a new place. Tino's has been on my list for a while and I'm glad I finally ordered from them. I got the Balsamico sandwich and the X Pie. The sandwich was yummy but I wish it had more mozzarella. Also, we ordered takeout so some parts of the focaccia got super soggy which is kinda sad. The pizza was pretty great. I really loved the dough - it's thin and chewy with good flavor. The biggest downside is that the pizza is more expensive than the other local places. We were longtime customers of the Kingston (a suburb of Princeton) Tino's where it all began and you can see my review of that location. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of catching Tino at the Madison location and he was gracious with his time. He treated us like we were his best customers. This guy get it. He won't ever sacrifice quality. The food is consistently great. Our favorite pizzas are the Rafaella and the Rucchetta. Mama's meatballs are just like that: Mama's meatballs. So good. The Pizza here was tasty, in the center it got a little soggier because of the weight of the ingredients, but crunchy on the outside. We tried the Tartufo red pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, sausage, truffle oil) and it was aromatic. The mushrooms were cooked thoroughly and you could taste they were fresh and not from a can. The pepperoni and sausage pizza (called Dora on the menu) was also great. None of it was overly greasy, in fact they weren't very oily at all. My wife and I stopped in, as we're from out of town. We were deciding between pizza and chipotle. I comparison here, Tino's is not your average pizza joint. A menu featuring organic, farm to table, gluten free etc. We started with the meat balls, which were amazing! Good use of fennel..., we then went with the sausage and mushroom which they sprinkle truffle oil over, and the anchovy pies. I've been there 5 times since they opened and they have given me no reason to go elsewhere for pizza. My daughter requested them last night for her birthday party and our guests loved them all. Fresh savory crust, sauce was delicious, and you could tell the high quality of product in all the organic proteins and veggies. The cheese was as fresh as you can get! Excellent service as well when we dined in the first two times. The cannolis are made fresh for dessert. Delicious way to wrap up the meal. Formerly urban fire, similar layout & still byo but the oven is now gas fired and it's no longer fast casual. Sit down inside or out and order, Tino's peeps bring your sandwich, salad, pasta and pizza. Three and half*** Started with the baked mozzarella sticks for the kids and garlic bread. Kids enjoyed the mozzarella sticks didn't even realize they were baked. Meatball appetizer was pretty good. The kids plain cheese pizza had way too much cheese on it. The Sicilian tomato pie was terrible don't get it. The amatriciana pie was awesome, as was the cacao de pepe pie.
