That's AMORÉ! This is the real deal! One thing I LOVE about Village Trattoria is when I order my pizza, I asked for a thin personal pizza & they made the most excellent pizza pie! Their Greek salad slice is heavenly & add to that their own recipe for a side of Italian vinaigrette- wow, you've got to try it! I'm a stickler for plain & pepperoni slices - but you can't go wrong w any style slice/pie! For the pepperoni slices/pie that add the PERFECT AMOUNT of pepperoni- and you can ask for very little crust or a lot! They provide the most personal experience when it comes to choosing what you want on your pizza, they aim to please! All the guys behind the counter are such a joy, when you walk in everyone says hello & they remember your name too! The owner (Louis, I think) has a passion for making real authentic Italian cuisine. Among the service, the product, the cleanliness, price & order time (so fast) I give Villafe "Trat. 5 stars- you don't need to drive k to Manhattan for a real taste of NYC pizza! Just remember on Fri & Sat night, put your order in early bc they are super busy, just what you would expect from a superior pizza/italian food restaurant. Those are the reasons they are my go-to pizza place! Oh & my sons absolutely RAVE about their buffalo chicken slices/pizza. TLDR: MUST order a calamari pizza if you come here. Quick service, reasonable prices, delicious specialty pizza. Located in the heart of Summit, you cannot go wrong with lunch/dinner here. The specialty pizza is not something you can find anywhere else and they don't miss. Calamari pizza slices are only available on Fridays and the pies are available whenever you want. Calamari is perfectly breaded, dollops of marinara are great and the dough itself ties it all together. I wanted to bring pizza over to my friends place near summit and I found this pizza spot randomly on google and then cross checked with Yelp and the pics and reviews convinced me to order from them. There was a lot of comments about there Buffalo chicken slice so I ordered a pie of the for pick up. The Large Buffalo Wing Pizza pie ($30.09 tax inc) looked good and tasted even better. There were literally big pieces of chicken cutlet (not wings) pieces drenched in blue cheese and Buffalo sauce with good ratio with the pizza dough. It was amazing. My friend and I could not finish it so I sadly left the rest of the pie at his place.. he told me it tasted even better the next day. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for Buffalo chicken slice. What a great restaurant! Service was friendly and quick, but it was the food that made me happy. The mushroom pizza was excellent. Deep dish cheese pizza was heavenly. Pasta dishes were so fresh and yummy. Chicken dishes were the same. Everything we tried was excellent. There was a huge parking lot across the street. We came here with a party of 10 and they were so accommodating and attentive (despite us being an unfortunately difficult group)! The pizza was delicious! For years I put up with the rude delivery exchanges. Pizza was fine. Most times I'd pick up myself. I live three blocks away. Sometimes I'd order delivery. You work the hours I do, you would too. I didn't often order from there but when I did, always the same nonsense. They gave you the clear impression you weren't worth their time. Off and on hold. Yelling at you like Frank Rizzo. "Huh? What?" Screaming things to others on the side like "$30 order? We deliver for THAT?" Berating you with "that's it?" if an undeserved tip wasn't to up to their high pizza joint fiscal standards. It was always variations on the same in your face theme: YOU WANT A DELIVERY!!? WHAT AM I? A DAMN STORK!!?" That was never expressly said but they may as well have said that. There was never any doubt: your call was low priority and so were you. But the last time that broke my camel's back with putting up with a few minutes' abuse was this: It was yet another moronic ordeal in negotiating the rapids of aggression and unpleasantness then...waiting. Three blocks away. Waiting. An hour and a half. I finally get it and I open the box and waves of nausea wash over me: just about everything I hate: peppers and onions and Lord knows what. Wrong pie. I call and it's obvious I'm not happy and IMMEDIATELY they snap into how they handle every call: they interrupt and bark "Hold!" and put me on hold. You think we care!!? Five minutes pass. Waiting. That was it. I jump in my car tossing the stench box in my trunk to deflect the funk. I pull up outside and I go in. Demand my money back. They could care less. Almost can't be bothered to run the credit back onto the card. No apologies. No concerns. Once again I've inconvenienced them. I walked out and never went back. Walk by time to but never look in much less go in. There's other zero places I've ever received consistent abuse during ordering. I have no idea what their complexes or issues are. Try going to Serra and learn some manners. Right around the corner is the friendliest NORMAL coffee shop. This Trattoria nonsense went on for years which was my fault thinking the place would have turnover and they'd get normal phone guys. Nope. Don't order from this place. I even saw this happening to other hapless customers phone ordering when I'd pick up. If you don't like your job, find another. People patronize businesses primarily for how they're treated. read more

Finally had the chance to stop in for a quick lunch since I'm in Summit today and I've had this place on my bookmarks for a while... Unfortunately I came a little late and some of the pizza slices I was looking forward to trying were already sold out for the day...(Better luck next time) I still managed to see they still had one of the fan favorites available, the buffalo chicken pizza... I ordered a slice and a soda and it was quickly heated for me. Let me tell you this pizza did not disappoint it was delicious! The crust was crispy and substantial enough to hold all of the large tasty pieces of the Buffalo chicken... it had just the right blend of toppings to make it perfect. The employees were very nice and friendly chatting with the regular customers who stopped by for lunch and I can see why they are so highly rated. I will definitely be back to try some of the slices I missed when I'm back in Summit... Highly recommend! read more

Food was amazing was seated quickly and efficiently. The young gentleman was a great server he's definitely a hard worker. One thing I would change I feel like they talk about the customers behind the bar area where the staff works. And the is a cook where the kitchen is was staring at me the whole time during my meal and made feel highly uncomfortable and I was just trying too enjoy my meal with my friends. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered delivery. The chicken I ordered for my toddler was raw inside both pieces. The chicken parm I ordered for myself was as hard as a rock. Now scrambling to look for something else for dinner as this is completely inedible. I hate leaving negative reviews but the raw chicken is a huge health hazard. The food is very good. The 7.4% service and handling charge is a bit much. I really scratch my head as to why restaurants don't raise prices to account for this added business expense. It would be much better to provide a discount for customers who pay with cash than to "tax" the ones who pay with a credit card. Otherwise would have been 4 stars... read more

Great place to come for speciality slices. One of the best buffalo chicken slices i've ever had! And i love the vodka sauce pizza, i'm slowly working my way through all of their special pies. There isn't a lot of room inside to sit and there isnt really waiter service. Now i just come here for take out or a quick bite to eat. read more

Solid pizza place. Would say the people who work are top notch. Pizza was ok- my kids loved the grandma pie- the 2 other pies - one pepperoni one cheese had massive flop and were a little soggy even while being extremely hot. So the 2 other pies not bad just not upper tier. Fries also a bit soggy-leave them in the frier for 2 more mins and perfection. Little crisp would be nice for the pies tho- read more

My only issue is deciding what to order. The pasta is always stellar. The pizza, whether you get plain or one of their bolder creations, is a win. Mediocre food and hidden fees sums up this small cluttered pizza shop. Pizza is average. There is much better pizza in elsewhere in Summit and Millburn. In addition to pizza, we ordered the baked shells and it was no better than heating up frozen baked shells from the grocery freezer aisle. The sauce had an overly strong rosemary aftertaste. The salad that came with the two dinners we ordered was comically small. It was a waste that they used two food containers. For the salads. They could have put both salads in the same container with room to spare. The worst part was when I paid the bill. They added a credit card fee without stating there would be an additional charge for using a credit card. When asked why they didn't mention the fee because I could have paid with cash, the snarky worker replied, "That is not how we do it here." I am not sure what that meant. Perhaps, he meant that the restaurant doesn't operate with ethics. I'm not sure. Bottom line: Go if must, but there is much better pizza and Italian fare elsewhere in Summit. read more

My absolute favorite place to get a slice or a delicious traditional Italian dish. The penne allá vodka is my absolute favorite, and you get an amazing portion for an extremely affordable price. Definitely a place where you will never leave hungry. The service staff is super kind and they have turned into a second family for me. No matter how busy the restaurant is, they go out of their way to make sure that everyone is taken care of in a timely and polite manner. Overall probably one of my top 5 places to eat. read more

While my kids were growing up, we never ordered pick-up or delivered pizza. Went to the original location in Maplewood which was a larger, more comfortable location w/ superior pie makers. Our favorite was the fried calamari pie - a combo of 2 key foods :-) read more

I don't know what kind of scam Antico Arturo and La Pastaria are running here, but it feels dirty…read more You order online from a place called Antico Arturo, which has a real restaurant in Red Bank I guess, and you end up getting food from La Pastaria, which is well known around the Summit for area for being #bad I suppose that's why La Pastaria sells under the other name, but 1) it's a lie and 2) it's confusing. I ordered pickup and drove around the street a few times looking for "Antico Arturo" and didn't see it. I wasted 15 minutes of my life looking for it, calling the place in Red Bank to see if my order was being made down there, then going back and walking into La Pastaria to ask if they sell under the name Antico Arturo. (It's not like there's anything on the sign of door or windows indicating if you ordered Antico Arturo that you've come to the right place.) The lady told me yes. I asked if they were changing the name of the store. She told me no. I asked why they sell under the other name. "We just do." Oh, cool. Anyway the food is edible but not much more than that. Pizza tasted fairly close to high school pizza. It is nothing like the picture you see on the Antico Arturo website. I guess that's the one you get in Red Bank. Also they charge $21 for it and this pizza was like a small personal pizza size, maybe 12 inches. The picture online looks like a big nice pizza. It's completely false advertising. There was a significant amount of bread "hangage" because of the small size of the cutlet. I asked for extra sauce on the side, which I didn't get, but that wasn't a big deal because the chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry. Though it would've been nice to have the sauce to dip the extra bread in. Pasta salad is great! The veggies are still Al dente and the vinaigrette that it's tossed in is lovely. I'll be back. *Pasta salad could have been packaged separately.

The flavor reminded me of Domino's rather than a traditional New Jersey pizza. The inside of the restaurant felt more like Chipotle than a classic neighborhood pizzeria. For a New Jersey pizza place, this tasted and felt more like Midwest pizza, but with a high price tag. There are far better local options nearby.

However, nothing was ever acknowledged at the end of the meal. We even had to remind our server about the limoncello shots that typically accompany dessert, which felt a bit awkward after being asked so many times about the occasion. My biggest concern is the seating issue with the windows. While the floor-to-ceiling glass is beautiful, the sun glare was extremely uncomfortable where we were seated. The sun was directly in our eyes for much of the meal, and we found ourselves switching and repositioning our chairs just to be comfortable. The restaurant should consider installing shades, scrims, or another solution to help manage the sunlight during certain hours. Overall, Felina Summit is a gorgeous restaurant with excellent food and good service, and I would certainly return. With better management of the sunlight and a little more follow-through on special occasion acknowledgments, the experience would be even better.

What really impacted our night, though, was how rushed we felt. From start to finish, our dinner lasted just about an hour. Plates were cleared quickly, the next course arrived almost immediately, and it didn't feel like there was room to linger or enjoy a slower-paced evening together. This was surprising because the restaurant wasn't even full. We left feeling like we had paid for a premium, leisurely dining experience but instead got an expensive, hurried meal. Unfortunately, it just didn't deliver the atmosphere or value we were hoping for.
