After having a great experience at the Ridgewood location of Felina, I also went to the one in Summit. This restaurant is located in the lobby of a nice hotel and it was a surprisingly large space. I had indicated in the reservation that the dinner was for a birthday, and they kindly gave our group special menus with happy birthday at the top, which was a nice touch. We were given complimentary focaccia and olives to start off the meal, which they refilled halfway through. We ordered crabcake and calamari for the table which were both good. For my entree, I ordered the creste di gallo whch was just alright and I probably would not order it again. To end the meal, we were given limoncello shots and a dessert with a candle and happy birthday written in Italian! read more

The space is beautiful and huge. We were a large group and they gave us a huge table by the fireplace. We went on a Sunday at 1:30 thinking we could order from the lunch menu but they only offered the brunch menu which was very limited. I ordered the salmon entree which I enjoyed but most of our group got burgers or the frittata (the frittatas were so bad that they didn't charge us for them). Burgers were okay but with American cheese only and it was practically burned into the burger. We tried to order bread for the table but they don't offer bread for brunch which is crazy. We got the basket of mini danishes and croissants which were like dessert before the meal which was annoying. The drinks menu was very large and $$$ but I didn't drink. The table shared a few desserts but I didn't taste. The decaf coffee was very good. I would go if someone else is paying. Not worth the money. read more

Felina in Summit is located in a beautiful, high-ceilinged converted bank. While the architecture is beautiful and the service was genuinely great, the food fell flat. The ribeye was extremely average and the mafalde cacio e pepe was soooo dry. Despite the atmosphere, the meal was mediocre across the board and I am in no rush to return. read more

I'm a really big fan of Felina. It will also always hold a special place in my heart because this is the venue that I got married at. Anyways, on to the food! Amazing. The pizza was perfectly charred and even a plain old margherita was bursting with flavor. The chicken milanese came perfectly pounded and was topped with lots of fresh parm. And the broccoli rabe sausage pasta was al dente and flavorful. These are three dishes that I could literally eat every day and Felina nailed it. The space is located in the lobby of the newly renovated Albion Hotel (formerly Grand Summit) and everything is flawlessly designed. I love the open kitchen concept. Even though the dining space is huge, it does fill up. On a weekend you'll need a reservation. Service was friendly and they even gave us comped glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Too sweet. Was there last night with my friends. We had a wonderful meal. All four of us were very happy. I had chicken Parmesan, which was very tender and the pasta was cooked properly. My wife had the Bronzino and usually she's very critical but loved it. Service was impeccable and the manager came over several times to make sure we were happy. We love the experience. I would go back. The Zeppoli for $15 was very good but they only gave you about six little tiny balls would've loved to have seen a lot more for that price. read more

I had a fantastic experience here. Starting from the large parking lot which made it a breeze to come dine here. On the Sunday before Christmas, the bar and restaurant area was decorated beautifully. There were also a couple cozy fireplaces to lounge with a drink. I came for their brunch and offered the chicken Milanese. It was so crispy and cooked perfectly. I was slightly disappointed that the drink menu was so limited, and items listed on their website menu were not available. I went to Felina the Friday night after Thanksgiving with a friend and had a really wonderful meal. I haven't been to the Summit Hotel since it became The Albion (I grew up in the area but don't live here anymore) and the renovations are beautiful. Felina is a large restaurant with a great bar space. There is just something about a circular bar that says, "we're going to have fun tonight!" We sat in the lower section and were the first table of two when you came down the stairs. This is where I took off one star because my friend sat in the booth and I sat in the chair in the aisle and every single waiter bumped into me throughout the meal. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I was also bumped into by the pasta cart with the giant cheese wheel, by kids running by, by truly anyone who walked by because it was such a tight space. We scooched our table as close to the booth as we could but still I was bumped over and over and over again and if you can't tell, I didn't like it. Drinks: We both had glasses of the pinot noir which was delicious and ended up splitting a third glass. Food: We split farm salad, the margharita pizza, the ribeye and the sorbet. It was the perfect meal, the steak was cooked perfectly, and everything was delicious and I left full but not stuffed. They also have a fun system where if you're taking home leftovers, they don't give you the bag at the table but instead give you a miniature pot that has a word in it (ours was "sun") and then when you're ready to leave you give the pot to the front desk and they give you your food. I will definitely go back to Felina but I will most definitely speak up if they seat me in the aisle again! read more

I give Felina 5 stars for the overall experience. It is an absolutely beautiful space. You walk in off the street and you think you are in a swanky restaurant in Manhattan. We sat at the bar. I had a cocktail. My wife had a glass of Prosecco which she loved. I didn't care for my cocktail but also it reminded me why I don't drink. Because I generally don't enjoy cocktails. So shame on me. What a big ice cube, though. That was fun. We ordered the funghi pizza which did not have sauce. Missed that in the description. Excellent, though. Neapolitan style. Thin crust great leopard spots on the bottom. Reminded me a lot of Pizza Vita in Summit but elevated. And $22. That's not bad. That's pretty standard in Summit. And you're not eating it in a storefront. The manager came over and introduced herself and asked how the food was. When she found out we were local told us we must come back (which we plan to. Probably for New Years. ). We had Tiramisu which was good not great. But again five star experience. Bartender outfits. Hideous wrinkled light grey sport coats. Not flattering. Located in the Albion Summit hotel - ground floor. Service at the bar was quick and simple, though busy with the one bartender running around it (early night). Later on more help came. Sat at a table recessed down some steps, staffers were good at checking in on us. Drinks - had a fascinating Alpine Old Fashioned, where they did a bit of smoky pine wood liqueur with smoked wood adding another layer of smoky-ness to the drink. Interesting, smooth. Meatballs were small, four, and not bad- sauce was better than the meatballs, but overall well-balanced. The bread with olives was great as an appetizer - a little crunch to the focaccia style bread and olive oil, salt and rosemary. Had some pickled/spicy cabbage to the side, not quite spicy or sour enough. Lasagna was quite good, a layered and savory, cheese was not too heavy, dish. Soppressata pizza was ok; a bit of a crunch but not spicy enough on the honey or soppressata; the fresh mozzarella was better than the provolone on it. Scallops (tried one from my fellow diner's plate) were cooked very properly, albeit not much flavor beyond a little salt on the top, so if you like simple, that worked. Will have to try more, definitely peaked my interest here. To go reminder that you have something packed from dinner was a little heavy metal measuring device like a copper pot, either for small sauce bit or for measuring maybe 1/4 of a cup - a little phrase written inside. The service was an absolute nightmare. Our waiter disappeared on us the majority of the night, did not have good etiquette as he abruptly interrupted us multiple times, never came back to give us any water, I wanted to order a drink but he was no where to be found. It was so bad I had to get up and go find him bc we literally were being ignored. I would not recommend this place, it's all "vibes" but no substance in terms of service or food. Jenni the manager and the waitress from the table next us to were very nice, but our waiter just ruined the entire experience of trying this highly Hyped place out. We started off w the Cesar salad n lioni burratta which was v interesting healthy n v refreshing w melon balls, greens, burratta, mint n mache. The mache gave a crunch to salad. Something different but was really really good. The Cesar salad was good too. For entrees had the pork scaloppini w mashed potatoes. Hmm v tasty n a v generous portion. Wasn't that hungry but it tasted so good I polished off the plate. We also had the eggplant parmigiana that was an appetizer as an entrees. The sauce breaded eggplant n cheese tasted good too. For appetizer portion it was quite big.. We topped off our dinner w the house special desert - New Orleans Espresso Crème Brûlée. Heavenly . What a beautiful venue! Stunning! Amazing!!! Just fell in love when I first entered Felina! Great bar area! Nice sized restaurant! We were seated immediately and ordered the most delicious cocktails! Started off well! Out came focaccia with pickled eggplant and marinated olives! Yum!!! Guess that was the highlight! They stopped by about 10 times for our food order...ok. We chose multiple appys. The arancini was good, as were the meatballs and calamari. Would not order the mussels again, not a fan with mixed small/large ones and a couple didn't open well. Appys which were obviously going to be split among our table of 5 didn't include serving spoons either which I thought strange. Entrees were just ok. Chicken Milanese was dry and lacked seasoning. Cacio e Pepe was good. Two specials were ok. My salmon was a beautiful piece, but just rather flavorless. I've never had to ask for salt or pepper at a restaurant, but most of us did. Anyway, worst part was that after we ordered, it was nearly impossible to get a server despite the restaurant having a significant number of empty tables. We couldn't get someone for water... or utensils... or really anything! It became the joke of the night. Came here last night for a friend's birthday - party of 7. Located at the old Sunmit hotel which appears redecorated ( haven't been in manhattan many years since I was there for a work Christmas function) There is a parking lot to the left side of the entrance if you are facing the building - otherwise if you enter on the right side of will either take you to the back of the hotel or you can drive up the drive up that passes the front and end up in the parking lot that I originally spoke about. The restaurant is located at the bottom level as soon as you walk inside . Big bar and has a casual bar area with high top tables. There are two other areas for dining but most people were casual or work casual . Few of us were dressed up like us which I was a little surprised. Staff is excellent . They tend to you as soon as you walk in. And any issues you have - they try their best to fix it. We had issues with cold air blowing over our table and I think the table needed adjusting but they fixed that for us!!! Cocktail menu only has 4-5 options which I was surprised but they have a full bar and can make majority of options. I tried the cocktail if the week which was like a fall brandy apple cider. It was good and light. Others had cosmos made. Complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil , olives and delicious pickled eggplant I believe. We started with the Arancini and calamari . The Arancini balls were ok - not a fave. The calamari was pretty good. I had the chicken Milanese which was ok. I also had the rigatoni bolognese and that was amazing. Fresh. Others had the shrimp scampi pasta which I tried and was good!l, the lasagna which was good. Two others also orders the lobster diablo for two - comes out with flames which was cool - it was good but I loved my rigatoni better as far as flavor . Just my opinion. I shared the cannoli - which was ok for me. Others had the mouse which was good and very rich . Gelato pistachio didn't really taste like pistachio and not my thing but I also just came back from having gelato in Rome and Venice so I am tainted sorry to say. I enjoyed the ambience and the service. Love the ceiling light fixtures . Love that open kitchen . Love the lights and the back hangout space near the bathroom. Came for dinner on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed. It is nicely decorated, but loud and a massive space. Our waitress was great, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (gave good recommendations), but she needed more help/staff. We had to ask for water refills a few times and had to wait a while when our entrees arrived to get utensils (which had been cleared after the appetizers and never replaced). The food was good, with some dishes being better than others. We started with the arancini, margherita pizza and calamari. All 3 were tasty and I would eat them again. I liked that the calamari came with both the traditional marinara sauce as well as an aioli. For entrees we tried the branzino and the cod puttanesca. The branzino was cooked nicely but overall lackluster and I don't think the tomatoes paired well with it. I would not order it again. The cod was tasty and I liked everything on the plate, I would have just liked a bigger portion. The food overall is good, but does not stand out from other restaurants and it is not inexpensive by any means. If you live in the area perhaps it is a good option but I do not feel obliged to go back. read more

I love this place! Have gone here so many time since they have opened up. Every time the food is great and so is the service. Everything is so good from the eggplant, pizza, pastas to the desserts! Exactly the type of space Summit needs. We've been here at least 12+ times. Bartenders and drinks consistent. But last few times food hasn't been good. Mussels overcooked and rock hard. Replaced Cacio e Pepe traditional noodles with mediocre option tonight. The manager Adam is no longer there and the service is just not the same. Hope they turn it around. read more

They do have a problem with the setting sun shining on its diners. Great bar. Open kitchen design. Service was great. Food was hit and miss. For appetizers we shared margherita pizza, tempura calamari and a Caesar salad. Pizza was good, not great. Uneven covering of cheese. Calamari was good and Caesar salad was meh. For mains our friends shared branzino and said it was good but under seasoned. My wife and I shared the veal parmigiana on the bone. Definitely enough for two. However it wasn't very good. Wasn't pounded thin and overly breaded. Breading was just falling off . Sauce was a bit like jarred sauce and spaghetti it was served over was gummy. Definitely pass on this dish. Honestly I think it's a better destination for a drink at the bar and an appetizer. read more

I was highly impressed with this place. For starters, the quality of food was excellent. From the bread they give the table, to the apps we ordered, to the main course, all excellent. Specifically I will say the white clam pizza was fantastic. And I further appreciated the generosity of an entire bottle of limoncello as an aperitif, plus cookies for the road! The atmosphere was great and the maitre D of the hotel where it's located, Tom is his name, was a very friendly man. But there's more... I must point out a subtle but important thing this place did that sold it for me. Unfortunately, the couple we went with is notorious for being late. The husband was an hour and fifteen minutes late so we sat there occupying valuable table space. The waiter did not complain and the restaurant did not try to rush us out of there. Loved meeting the pastry chef, Jen who created a stellar way to end the night with a large shareable cannoli. Tad pricy but tasty. Got the burrata and avocado toast to start. This was excellent. Got the cacio e Pepe eggs Benedict which was good and the jersey breakfast pizza. Also solid. Small nitpicks. Other sister restaurants have given us something since we celebrate at their restaurants each year and the prices were a tad high for drinks. My wife and I came in for our wedding anniversary tonight. We actually got married at the grand summit hotel 12 years ago. We were so impressed with all of the renovations to the hotel. The restaurant was great. They make great artisanal pizzas. We shared one as an app. They have a solid drink menu. We really enjoyed our entrees. The special soft shell crab was delicious. As was my wife's Caccio Pepe dish. They were able to make me an affagato which wasn't on the menu. The hotel manager was so kind and friendly informing us of all the changes to the place. read more

We grabbed a seat at the 60 person Bar where we were greeted by Frankie, he really took this experience to the next level, unsure of what we wanted to drink, he crafted delicious drinks based of flavors we preferred and he sure did deliver and we were only getting started, Frankie then gave us the most amazing popcorn I've ever had... Like really popcorn could do all that!? Everything else was delicious, the meatballs were fresh, the crudo vibrant and thier salad was also delicious, with the crunchiest croutons I ever had that elevated the dishes, we truly enjoyed our experiences and the prices was very reasonable, we can't wait to go back ...
