Fun, chill, and casual Tex-Mex spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating even when they're packed. Service is quick and genuinely friendly, and you pay right at your table so your card never goes on its own adventure. The vibe works for families, groups, dates, or just a couple drinks at the bar when you want tacos without the drama. I've tried their frozen margarita, passion fruit margarita, and the Mexican Daisy. All are bright and refreshing, but the frozen margarita is the clear winner. It's basically a grown-up ICEE. If you want something stronger, ny brother swears by the Free Bird cocktail. Food-wise, the nachos with asada or al pastor are loaded, smoky, and disappear faster than you can say "just one more chip." The Portobello Tacos shocked me. They were hearty and craveable. Then the rice and beans on the side are perfect when you mix them together. While their delicious Crunchwrap is shareable, it's messy enough that you'll be glad you know your table mates. Beautiful space, good drinks, smoky meats, and fast service. BarBacoa really knows how to taco 'bout flavor. NOTES/TIPS: **Wheelchair-accessible. Shareable dishes. Ask for their green and red sauces. Green wins with me for its brightness. **A few feet from the Summit Farmers Market on Deforest Ave. **Parking deck nearby off of Springfield Ave by ZRolls Ice Cream. Free on Sundays.

Came here for lunch. Had to order the hush puppies... they were as good as I remember! I ordered the fish tacos - delicious. However, I asked the waiter if they could be baked and he said he will ask and let me know. Shortly thereafter the fish tacos came to the table deep fried - I wish the waiter circled back with me and I had the option to change my order.

Street parking or there is a public parking lot (first hour is free) right next to the location. We chose our table and we already looked at the menu before we got there so we knew what we wanted. We ordered cocktails, Mexican Daisy and the Tequila Old Fashioned. The Mexican Daisy was delicious-- not too sweet but tasted the tequila. The spiced rim was so good. The Tequila Old Fashioned was a bit strong for my husband so I got to enjoy that cocktail as well. We ordered the carnitas and the camarones tacos. Our favorite was the camarones, the way the shrimp was spiced along with the pineapple combination was so good. The carnitas was great too- the pork was so tender and juicy. Will definitely be back again.

On a recent CBS news segment on exceptional restaurants in the metro area, the farm-to-table chef was highlighted, as well Dylan, the operator. Certainly the place in town for quality cocktails & cuisine.

As soon as you walk in the bar, it smells like a wet dog. The waitress couldn't seem to figure out what I was talking about so we saw other others in there so we decided we would stay and we ordered the Carne Asada tacos, but she recommended, which were literally like beef pieces you would give a dog that were boiled and overcooked. It was the most disgusting Carne Asada I've ever tasted Again. We asked to switch it, and she looked at us like she doesn't understand what I'm saying, but then just switches it so we end up getting chicken and shrimp and it was a little better but not the best. My son wanted to try the churros. They were barely covered in cinnamon and sugar and the dolce de Leche can speak for itself take a look at that picture lmao it was so congealed it was unmovable we would not go back here.and not once a sorry or anything about this horrible experience

The food isn't bad but it's underwhelming, definitely did not like it enough to return. We started with the guac and salsa, both were fresh but very bland. Asked for "hot" salsa and it was also bland, no spice whatsoever. We had the carnitas tacos and a bowl both were just okay, again not much flavor. Service was good. Decor and ambiance is cute and inviting.

As soon as you walk in, the restaurant has a nice vibe, nicely done interiors and love the color pop from the chairs. Went to BarBacoa over the weekend with friends and family, we were quick to be seated. Staff were responsive and friendly. Food and service was so quick. Coming to the food, the flavors were good, happy with the portions and the prices. Churros were top notch !!! Will definitely come back and recommend. This place is located in the heart of Summit downtown with plenty of street parking.

Overall good food especially if you can catch the happy hour. We went with friends and had kids during a Sunday afternoon. Parking was free and convenient, the wings and nachos were inexpensive for the quantity. We tried the tacos, the shrimp taco was ok, deep fried southern style chicken tacos were over fried and chewy. Kids enjoyed the quesadilla and wings. Our wait staff wasn't quite attentive and we had to ask for water twice. Overall an ok place for Tex max food in the heart of summit. Will try the drinks at the next happy

Happy hour is the best here, I highly recommend coming during the week for a quick margarita and app. Elote and Birria tacos were amazing!!

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

Hands down, one of the best Italian restaurants in New Jersey…read more From the moment you walk into Fiorino, you feel genuinely welcomed. Everyone greets you with a smile, and there's a warmth to the hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like family. This past Friday night, I had one of the best dinners and overall dining experiences I've had in a very long time. Mentor has done an outstanding job creating something truly special here. The service, food, wine, atmosphere, and hospitality all come together seamlessly. The ambiance is cozy, intimate, and full of energy. The dining room always seems to be buzzing, and you immediately understand why. The cocktails are always a hit, but the wines... oh, the wines! There are some incredible bottles to discover, along with an excellent selection by the glass. If you appreciate wine, this is definitely a place where you can have some fun exploring. Every dish that hit our table was spectacular. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, from the pasta to the entrées and all the little details in between. There wasn't a single miss the entire evening. And now I apparently need to come back for the "Happy Meal" . As someone who works in the hospitality industry, experiences like this mean a little more to me. When you dine somewhere where the food hits, the drinks hit, the service hits, and the hospitality feels genuine, it reminds you exactly why you fell in love with this industry in the first place. Thank you, Mentor, and thank you to the entire Fiorino team for an unforgettable night. I can't wait to come back. -- Jeffrey Umaña @jeffrey.umana

The space has a warm and modern feel. On the food side, I enjoyed a beet salad. The dish was beautifully presented with a generous portion of beets underneath a tower of greens, topped with a fried goat cheese cake. Delicious! For cocktails, I started with "The Perfect Pairing" - a seasonal whiskey cocktail with Widow Jane applewood rye, Aperol, spicy pear liqueur, bitters, and muddled orange. I really enjoyed this sturdy cocktail. I'm not much of a dessert cocktail person, but Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is my flavor, so I indulged with mixology ace Giovanni's "Mint Chocolate Martini." Pumping up the vanilla vodka, creme de menthe and another liqueur was mint chocolate ice cream. Other guests were raving about the espresso martinis (that use freshly brewed espresso right off the machine). It's safe to say that dessert cocktails are a strong suit at Providence Bar! Chatting with owner Eric, I learned that the patio has a retractable roof which will be opening up with warmer weather close at hand. They also hold special events (wine and food pairings, cigar nights, mixology classes). With great food, cocktails, and service - Providence Bar is highly recommended. I look forward to returning soon.

Summary: Food was excellent. Overall service was lacking…read more We arrived at the restaurant and we were seated promptly. The host provided us with our menus upon each of us sitting in our chair, and we thought we were in for a nice customer experience. Upon being seated, we waited about 10 minutes to get bread and water, and then another 10 minutes after that for someone to take our drink order...and then the bar was backed up, so we did not get a drink in hand until about 30 minutes in. You would think that if it took that long to get drinks, you might want to put the appetizer order in when we ordered the drinks. This did not happen. We did not put our food order in until about 45-60 minutes. The apps we ordered were very good. The entrees were good as well, although upon ordering filet mignon medium rare, the meat was severely undercooked (essentially raw and jiggling). We had to request the order be heated to the correct temperature, which our waiter did without hesitation. Unfortunately, as we waited for this to occur the rest of our meals waited to be consumed. We then ordered our coffees/desserts - only 2. Our coffees came out within about 10 minutes, which we finished in another 10 minutes. Dessert did not hit our table for about 25 minutes. We had a 6pm reservation for 3 people. The entire meal took 2.5 hours to compete. We only ordered a total of 3 alcoholic beverages, 3 apps, 3 entrees and 2 desserts. From my perspective, the restaurant did not staff an adequate number of wait staff for the volume of customers. Additionally, there should be a dedicated staff member that can run drinks to tables. Even the person that filled water glasses and delivered bread was falling behind. She brought out apps plates to our table as we were finishing up our apps and eating out of our bread plates. Not a big deal, but just added to the underperforming service. Again, food quality was excellent, but the restaurant did not nail a great service experience on this night. The good news is that hopefully they can correct this for the future.
