Had AMAZING chicken and cheese tacos from here a few weeks ago. The chicken was so juicy and succulent. Super cheesy, excellent flavoring. Sauces were great too. Best taco spot in the area.

Wow! I want to come back all the time! Folklore is an incredible bang for your buck, we had a great time in such a cute place. The atmosphere is adorable, I never would have expected to find this in a hole in the wall. We got 4 for $14 each. We were able to mix and match on the menu, all of which were fantastic! I want to try them all next time. I always need to try the al pastor, which was delicious, and less pineapple than usual (which I prefer). The chipotle chicken was good, but the bbq short rib was to die for! My only critique is that they only offer one kind of salsa (the verde, which I found very addicting but my partner prefers having a hot or kind of variety) and I had a gritty piece in one of my tacos that kept me from finishing my plate - alrhough the flavor was incredible.

Nachos were cold, bland and salty. Black beans were thrown in straight out of a can.

Just got home after trying this place for the first time. We had high hopes for a great new taco place in Chatham. To say it was disappointing is a serious understatement. First of all, we called a bit earlier just to confirm that they were opened, and their hours. We did this because we knew they had closed early many times before. So they told us they were open until 7:30PM, even though their own website says they are open until 8:00PM every day. This is from their website: We're open Everyday 11am - 8pm We were given menus and a while later when she came to take our orders, she said they are backed up with takeout orders and our food would be out in about 1/2 hour. Why weren't we told that before we spent time deciding what we wanted? Anyway, it was cold out, and we didn't feel like going somewhere else, so we waited...and waited. They could have at least offered free chips and salsa while we waited, but instead they offered to sell them to us. We ordered the carnitas nachos. I have had lots of nachos over the years, and this, sadly, was at the very bottom of the list. It was cold, with something very, very salty. It wasn't the cheese - we don't know what it was. There were huge chunks of fat, and lots of flavorless black beans. It tasted like they opened a can, rinsed the beans, and tossed them in. We also ordered the mulas tacos. Two carnita and two pastor. They certainly didn't look like the pictures. We realized when we were almost done that the chipotle cream was missing. With one taco left, she brought it out. I tasted it before I put it on my taco. It was a container of cream with some spice. No sense of chipotle at all - none of the smokiness or flavor - just heat. It was the same with the green sauce that came out earlier. No flavor - just heat. The pastor was an off-putting orange color. On my last taco, I also found a hair. Longer and reddish-blond. Definitely NOT mine. There are other great Mexican places around - a short drive to Parsippany will pay off a thousand times over in food quality, authenticity and service. We won't be back. Ugh.

We decided to try this place around 7PM on a sunny Tuesday. I am just realizing now that it was Taco Tuesday! The pastor tacos were so very good and the portion was very generous. The order came with 4 fully loaded tacos for only $13. What a deal! I was full after 2 but couldn't stop eating and was completely stuffed after 4. Totally worth the over indulgence. The ingredients were fresh and the tortillas were perfectly warmed. We dined outside and watched the sunset in the parking lot. It was the perfect night for some casual dining and the service was friendly and fast. I also want to add that food delivery drivers were running in and out of this place constantly the entire time that we were there, this place is available on all of the food delivery apps and is evidently very popular. I've been recommending this place to friends for the past few months and can't wait to go back again myself!

Super professional tacos!! I love everything about this place the tacos are so delicious and everything is fresh. I also wish I could give them another 5 stars for presentation. I was recommended to try the steak and they were my absolute favorite. The place is small and cozy and decorated perfectly. Must try some tacos here. I will be back for some other items.

Great spot for authentic and tasty tacos....... Mostly delivered by Doordash these days, but we stopped in in person to pick up our order. The nicest people working there and delicious and inexpensive tacos. Of course, it would be better to eat them fresh to order (tacos don't travel well), so eat them in your car if you want super fresh! ;) I hesitated ordering fish tacos, since I knew they were tilapia, but they were so good...with cabbage slaw and a delicious cilantro green sauce to pour on top. The carne asada were great, as were the chicken tacos w/ onions and cilantro. We opted for corn tortillas, but you can choose flour if you like. $12. for 4 fresh and delicious tacos, you can't go wrong......their guac was decent too. Great neighorhood spot, can't wait to go back when they are fully open indoors. Stacey

Diverse taco and burrito menu. Service was prompt and friendly. The tacos are excellent. Come with guacamole and two sauces. The tamarind beverage a good compliment to the food. It's a smaller venue but also has taco bar seating as well as a table for outdoor seating.

The band walked around to the tables for song requests and would sing next to the table as well, really cute! My mom requested a song for my grandma, which made her tear, it was really sweet. Most of the staff seemed really warm and friendly, unfortunately not the same could be said from the waitress we got. She seemed to be pretty absent, didn't seem knowledgeable when asked about details on dishes. At one point, she accidentally dropped guacamole on a little girl's arm at the table next to us and she apologized once and walked away, leaving the guacamole on the floor and splattered all over her coat as well as mine. All other staff we interacted with were nice and helpful. On to the food! The salsa was really flavorful and the chips were fresh and crispy. I got the cheese enchiladas which were pretty nice. It came with rice and beans which ended up being eaten by my daughter. She got an order of rice and beans and the portions were quite big for just being sides which was really nice. Mom and grandma had soups which they said were quite flavorful. It is BYOB so all their drinks are non alcoholic which is cool for everyone. I got the lime Margarita which was very limey, very delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot for some good Mexican food.

Since the weather was perfect, we decided to sit outside with our dog. The service was very attentive throughout the meal. We started with fresh pineapple juice and a frozen margarita ($14). The juice was light and refreshing, while the margarita was perfectly balanced and delicious. For appetizers, we shared several plates: Brisket Nachos ($18) - Slow-roasted brisket with yellow habanero salsa, cheddar, black beans, radish, crema, and pico de gallo. The portion was enormous--very New Jersey-sized--and full of flavor. Tasting Trio of Guacamole ($16) - Guacamole Casa: Avocado, onion, tomato, cilantro, serrano, and sea salt M - Serrano Marmalade: Serrano, lime, and agave - Fresa:* Fresh seasonal fruit mix The guacamole trio was outstanding; we loved all three, especially the Serrano Marmalade. It was so good I wish I could find something like it in New York City. For our mains, we ordered: Huevos Rancheros ($17) - Sunny-side-up eggs with refried beans, rice, pico de gallo, chorizo Milano, ranchera sauce, crema, queso fresco, red onion, serranos, and crispy corn tostadas. Shrimp Tacos ($24)** - Seared pineapple achiote shrimp with mango slaw, aji verde, pineapple achiote adobo, and micro cilantro on corn tortillas. Steak Chalupas, Cholula Style ($29) - Seared ribeye steak served with bone marrow mashed potatoes, cotija, salsa verde aioli, crema, shredded cabbage, and lime. By the time our entrées arrived, we were already 80% full from the appetizers, but everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The bottled water is $ 10, Orela is a fantastic spot for a relaxed weekend lunch, especially if you're bringing your dog. The outdoor seating is lovely, and the food quality easily rivals many NYC restaurants.

Our waiter was nice and never made us feel rushed. They have a great beverage menu, different iced teas, mocktails, coffees and even refreshers! I went for the lavender lemonade but honestly I had a hard time deciding. So did my sister, she opted for a matcha and the hibiscus iced tea. I couldn't resist ordering the butter and jam board, it's the name of the restaurant, you have to order it! I had no regrets on this decision, was it a lot for two people? Sure. Did I enjoy it immensely? Absolutely. There were three butters- lemon, cinnamon, and berry. All 3 butters were amazing but my absolute favorite was the lemon. There were 3 jams- berry, strawberry, and I believe orange. I was obsessed with the lemon butter paired with the berry jam... heavenly! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on that board. The breads for the spreads were croissant pieces, corn muffins and biscuits. I loved the biscuits the most. Unfortunately sister pretty was not feeling her best prior to our coming here, so she was content with the breads and spreads and opted to only get a smoothie with added protein. She said it was exactly what she needed and she perked up for the rest of our time together. I ordered the steak and eggs burrito and it did not disappoint! The steak was so juicy and tender- my only complaint is I wanted more!! The eggs were cooked perfectly, and there was a generous amount of avocado. It came out in a large plate and didn't have a side, I think they would do well to note on the menu or verbally when you're ordering that for an extra $___ you can get a side of fries, because I didn't think of it, but if it was told to me I definitely would have opted for a side. We had a great experience here and I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Tacoria, which was one of the earliest participants in this recent trend, offers tasty, made-to-order TexMex cuisine in a trendy, fast-casual cafeteria-style ambiance. The cozy dining area, which is open to South Street when the weather is cooperative, only offers about a dozen tables for two or four diners, so it may be difficult to get seating during peak times. On several visits, we've had to stand around awkwardly holding our food while waiting for other diners to finish their meals and relinquish their table for us. After placing your order at the counter from the menu that allows you to build-your-own burritos, bowls, street tacos, salads, or nachos -- all of which is cooked to order -- grab a seat at one of the tables in the dining area and wait for your pager to buzz and let you know your meal is ready to be picked up. The service is very good with counterstaff that's very knowledgeable about the menu and terrific at making whatever accommodations a diner may require (vegetarian, lactose free, etc.). I'm a fan of the Burrito - Al Pastor ($12.50), comprised of ground marinated pork served with black beans, seasoned rice, and salsa in a grilled flour tortilla.. but I was surprised that my entree did not come with even a small portion of complimentary tortilla chips. My dining companion enjoyed her salad topped with marinated grilled chicken ($11), sliced avocado, black beans, pico de gallo, and cheese on a bed of romaine lettuce and topped with a pineapple lime dressing. There's a handful of complimentary homemade hot sauces - which range from mild verde to spicy habenero -- as well as several varieties of Cholula and Tabasco available (and small 'to go' containers if you're planning to dine elsewhere) if you want to kick things up a notch - and a Coca-Cola fountain machine offering unlimited refills of the basic Coca-Cola options (Coke, Diet Coke, etc.) if you've overdone it with the complimentary hot sauces. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Tacoria doesn't have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking on South Street. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, the Morristown Parking Authority DeHart Street garage (@ 13 Dehart Street) or lot (@ 12 Wilmot Street) are a short walk to Tacoria.
