Absolutely delicious. I had to stop in between my meal to leave this review. It literally tasted as if the fish was caught minutes before Tasteful! Beautiful! So GOOD!!!

Hidden gem in downtown Cranford! Definitely the best Mexican food I've had in this town. The Carne Asada Tacos were out of this world. I also really enjoyed the nachos here. The burrito bowl was enough for about three people to eat. The portions are pretty big here which is great if you like leftovers. Overall a fantastic meal, I will be back soon!

As this area does not have many Mexican spots - I was so glad to see this spot open up to give some more choices for Mexican! We have ordered three times so far (via both seamless and Uber eats) and all 3 times, the food was delivered quickly. The first time - I got the Mula Shrimp tacos and split guacamole and chips with my husband who got a chicken burrito. We were both impressed with the quality and taste and thought the guacamole was really great. There was a chipotle cream sauce that came with the tacos was standout! The second time - I got the same dish along with a few other things that we split including nachos, beef tacos, and a cheese quesadilla. This time, it was sort of bland, didn't come with the promised side sauces, and had different toppings. Also the nachos were just shredded cheese and tomato thrown on chips. Major disappointment. Yet the third time, we ordered Tajin fish tacos, Mula beef tacos, and a cheese quesadilla and everything was well seasoned, flavorful, and delicious! All in all - a bit inconsistent- but when they are good, this place is great!

My favorite Mexican spot in Cranford is Folklore. I'm always getting their tacos to go, but I actually dined in last week and it was such a pleasure! There's not a big dining room or anything like that, but it was a great experience to have their food fresh out of the kitchen! We basically tried one of everything on the menu and were so happy with everything we ordered!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine coupled with a quick experience, Folklore is the stop! I love how their dishes are clean and simple - NOT smothered with cheese (unless you ask). Eye-catching colors, fresh ingredients and they are always pretty speedy! I also love the shells, which you can tell don't have all those extra, unnecessary, bad-for-you ingredients. On the rare occasion, a direction may be missed from an online order (whoops!), but they want to get it right and are quick to remedy it. Prices could be a bit lower but isn't that everywhere these days? Oy! I will pay the extra bucks for this consistent quality!

Fish especial tacos are described as being "crispy beer battered fish". They aren't. Super dissatisfied. Chicken cheese tacos and guacamole and chips were fine.

Oof. I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, they fell short at almost every turn. I stopped by this past Saturday around 4pm to place an order. Closed. Even though they had no indication on their website, social media, or even a message on their door stating the reason, since they should've been open according to their hours. Then today, I placed an order on the phone with a young gentleman at 5pm and was told there would be a 35 minute wait. Showed up at 5:35, and they said they had no record of my order. I showed them the call I placed to the correct number and they took my order again. That was another 30 more minutes of waiting. When the food was finally ready, they offered no discount, no means of apology whatsoever, beyond the poor young girl at the front saying that she was sorry personally. The manager was right there overhearing that I was upset and did nothing and offered no apology or reconciliation of his own. And honestly, the food was not worth the terrible service. They even got one of the meals wrong (we ordered the Apollo Asada Bowl and they gave us a Pollo Asada Burrito). The tacos were somewhat bland and mushy and the burrito was completely bland. The sole shining light was the Elote (Mexican street corn), which was yummy and buttery. We do not plan to return. Giving two stars instead of one since they're a new business. If only they were holding themselves more accountable for their obvious flaws in the process.

So excited to have them in Cranford! My friend and I called in an order for take out on Friday night and it was ready in about 30 minutes. They were doing a good job at taking COVID precautions. Paying with card was contactless and the food was labeled with my name for us to grab on the way out. The tacos were great and they have so many filling options. We got the mula chicken, pastor, and carnitas tacos. Pastor taco was a little dry but the side of salsa and guac that comes with it was just what it needed. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of salsa and chips that came with the order since places usually don't give too much. Came out to be $30 total so between both of us, very affordable and we were stuffed after!

Some tacos varieties are better than others. We tried four different taco varieties, based on our preferences and their recommendations. The Chorizo taco was the best of the group and a reason to return. The Pollo taco was disappointing. We like to support local restaurants and will return to try to find other good dishes.

First time visiting their Cranford location, service was pleasant, order preparation took little time and portion was quiet generous. We'll try their tacos next time.

I swear I want to love this place. Their food is actually really good when they get the order right. I ordered (via GrubHub) a chicken burrito BUT I left a note to remove chicken & add fajita style veggies. I don't eat meat. Why they don't offer a vegetarian burrito on their menu is beyond me. Anyway, I've ordered this before with the same exact notes & was delivered veggie tacos. When I called, she tried to act like my note said I wanted veggie tacos. I know what I wrote! Also, I've made this request 3x already & this is the 1st time they messed that up. A while ago, they messed up a different order. Like I said, the food is really good when it's what you ordered. They've got 1 more strike & they're OUT!

Best Mexican hands down - my husband and I order at least once a week. Delivery is SO fast and the food is always consistently delicious. The quality doesn't suffer at all with delivery. My favorite is the carne asada tacos but the carne asada nachos are incredible as well. Highly recommend - it's our favorite restaurant in cranford!

Typical "Mexican" restaurant interior with both high top seating & standard table seating. Staff were friendly and efficient, drinks were nice a strong. Food was good and this place could definitely be a local spot to go to on a whim. We had Quesadillas de Birria, Volcano Burrito-which they cut up and classify it as "sushi burritos," and Margaritas. It is important to note that the complimentary chips and salsa were good. Everything was good and I would suggest if someone was asking for something in the area, albeit I would run back here on a normal day. For some of us, it might simply call for going out and getting tacos or even just preparing our own. Situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Roselle Park, this establishment is set inside a small corner suburban home where some of my colleagues decided on takeout, which came highly recommended. Upon arrival at Taqueria La Casita, or "The Little House Taqueria," we were confronted outside by the neon signage reading "Tacos Open" and Mexican flags, among other pieces of colorful decor. Greeted by the staff inside an un-air-conditioned cozy dining room decked out in its Mexican splendor with 4 tables. In the back, a colorful menu with nearly a dozen different types of tacos and an array of other dishes written by hand. We opted for individual orders containing 4 tacos with Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, and Pork. While waiting, we couldn't help but notice the trompo--the spinning, shawarma-adjacent log of marinated pork used for Al Pastor, which translates to "in the style of the shepherd." Originating in Puebla, this came at the hands of Lebanese immigrants during the 1930s. The tortilla itself was freshly made, of the corn variety. They were stuffed to the brim with meat prepared in front of us and served with cucumbers and lime. Fresh condiments of diced onion, cilantro, and avocado were separated in their own container, and all were needed. Various sauces accompanied in small containers, such as green, which was jalapeño-based; the darker red salsa was smoky from dried and smoked chipotle chilis; and neon orange, which was a sauce made from chili de arbol and tomato. The guacamole was absolutely delicious along with the chips, and we couldn't get enough. The portion was a healthy size. The service was fast; Maribel was friendly and accommodating. Authentic, fresh, and affordable--we can recommend this place.
