Everything was soooo tasty. The bright and colorful decor transported me out of NJ. A bonus was they had karaoke on Friday night so we dined listening to music. I come from Colorado and I woke up this morning just looking for homemade fresh authentic Mexican food but all I was seeing on the map was more "upscale" Mexican places that I'm not used to. thankfully I stumbled upon San Isidro and it was just what I needed, my boyfriend had the mole chicken enchiladas which were amazing loved all the onion on there too so delicious and I had the chorizo tacos. They were so juicy and paired well with the salsa that were given out. The service was excellent, quick and lovely. The restaurant was very colorful, and had nice music playing it felt very lively. They provide at least one big lime slice per taco and plenty of salsa rojo (a little spicy) and verde (milder). The crispy chips from their complementary Chips & Salsa are nice and crunchy- not oily. Their Horchata's so addictive and refreshingly tasty. My kids loved their Chicken Wings and Fingers with really good and plenty of fries and the rest of fam enjoyed their dishes. Came for lunch with co-workers. Small venue, playing Spanish music (at times a bit too loud for such a small space), w/servers who do their best with speaking English. Not an issue, as most people speak at least basic Spanish anyway. Service was a decent pace, & the food was very good. Really good Mexican food at reasonable price. Not sure how I didn't even know about this place given that I live under 15min away. Glad I found it on yelp. Its got a nice setup inside, reminds me of some of the Mexican joints in socal. Service is very friendly. They actually bring complimentary chips and salsa at the start. Food was good. Decided to try this place because we were craving birria tacos but when we got their they didn't have so we tried other tacos which were great ! We got to sit wherever we wanted and the chairs and decor are really cute ! Very legit Mexican place in a quiet strip mall that share it's parking lot with a CBD smoke and barbershop. I came here by myself for dinner because Boo Boo was away. I ordered the al pastor alambre. Which is marinated pork mixed with bacon, cheese and some pineapple served on a hot iron plate. The entree came with a lot of warm flour tortillas to be used to make tacos with the meats. The difference with alamabre mini taco than an order of tacos was it wasnt dressed with onions, cilatro and radishes. The salsa Verde was really good with greasy cheesy meats. I washed it down with a mango Arizona. Not sure if they serve horchata. Bathroom was clean. Not sure if they accept credit card because I paid in cash. Mexican music on the playlist added to the ambiance. I will definitely be back and maybe bring a couple work proximity associates. Boo Boo may find this neighborhood too dangerous. read more

When arriving to pick up the order after the original pick up time was pushed back because it had not been confirmed (30 mins later) they were unaware of our order. After asking us to wait 15 mins we were finally given our order 30 mins after that. Upon eating the quesadilla there was a piece of glass in there. This place is definitely worth your time. The beef Alambre was excellent. Wonderful bits of smokey pork and bacon (we are not pork lovers - but they worked well in this dish) in addition to green peppers, cheese, and onion. Everything comes sizzling on a hot plate. Flavors are on point. The only fault I can give this dish is that the green peppers weren't crunchy. The portion is massive - it is enough to feed two adults ($18). We paired it with a side of rice and beans (pricey at $10 - but way tastier than at your standard Mexican place) and Guacamole (spicy guac is great - though could use a little but more acid imo). If you eat in, gratuity is added at 18%. Not a complaint, just something to keep in mind. One portion of Alambre, guac, and rice and beans (perhaps spring for a few extra tortillas) would be sufficient for a family of two young children and two adults. My husband and I were craving Mexican food and we have passed by this restaurant several times in the past. After reading all of the positive reviews, we decided to stop by for a late lunch this past Saturday. When we arrived, we were the only customers there. Another couple arrived right after we did. We shared an order of freshly made guac which was one of the best that we've ever had. I had the flautas de pollo with a side of yellow rice and my husband had the chorizo tacos. Everything tasted authentic. The service was fast and friendly and the food was reasonably priced. We will be back. Know before you go - They charge an 18% service fee if you're staying to eat. The food taste went from very tasty to tasteless. Service in person was rude. I ordered over the phone and went to pick it up. Still had to wait 35 minutes! Made a request for refried beans and got none. Asked for a menu, and was told to go pick it up myself...wow. No. The former owners always went above and beyond, being very friendly and attending nicely to all requests. The ones now, act like they don't need you...ok, I don't need you either. And after all this trouble, the food was tasteless. Don't bother with this place. There are others, and there's where I will be going next. BAD!!!! read more

Terrible experience, called ahead and ordered sopes with a side of rice and beans, girl on the phone told me it would be 10 mins. I live 10 minutes away so I left shortly after hanging up. Get there and tell them i'm picking up, they go check on it and tell me "it's almost done." So I wait another 10 minutes and ask again, this time they tell me "oh sorry he just started making it." So I tell them to forget about it and I walk out, thanks for wasting my time, terrible service. They also have people there drinking alcohol and then getting in their cars and driving, I use to like this place until today. read more

This place became our staple lunch out after Sunday church service, then Covid hit and we just ordered take out of our favorites, shrimp burrito, steak tacos, steak burrito and chicken burrito, it's great to order and pickup. My wife and I have been talking about Mole sauce for about a week now. I was in the area and decided to do a search for a Mexican restaurant that served mole sauce. After searching and reading the reviews on Yelp I decided to go to San Isidro and ordered food to go. We got 2 orders of Chicken Enchiladas with mole sauce, an order of Chorizo taco plate, order of Al Pastor taco plate and a Chicken Poblano Mole. WOW!!! everything was great, the chicken enchiladas with mole had plenty of flavor they were moist and really were just done right. I consider myself somewhat of an expert on the flavors of Mexico as I lived in country for about 18 months. The Chorizo tacos were spicy and flavorful, not greasy and over spiced with heat. There was plenty of cilantro and onions and the green and red sauces both had exceptional taste. Finally the Al Pastor cooked to perfection including the pineapple as it should be. Most of the times when you get Al Pastor here its dried out and flavorless and never has pineapple on it. I look forward to going back and trying other dishes.
