So I was very apprehensive to go to this location, especially because of some of the reviews that…read morespoke about ICE and I in no way wanted to deal with any shenanigans on our trip to New Jersey, but I took the risk anyway. They would have to take the whole restaurant because that's all there was there was Latinos maybe a small handful of Caucasians. This place was pretty packed on Friday with a DJ and karaoke but it's big enough that we didn't have to wait when we got there. When I say this food was amazing, I will have to say that it is the juiciest meat all across the board, the ribs, the beef, the pork, you name it and big portions of food. We all had an amazing time and left with leftovers that I was able to cook the next day and it tasted still as juicy and tender. I'm definitely looking forward to going back to New Jersey and going back to have some food!!!! Go Colombia

The place is massive, so I can't imagine there's usually much of a wait to be seated. Huge screen was playing soccer games and this place is definitely going to be packed during the World Cup. We ordered a couple of drinks and honestly they felt more watered down than anything else -- not really worth the price. The appetizers were good, but the service was lacking. We couldn't find anyone to bring us plates and it took so long that our entrees arrived before we even started the apps. The entrees themselves were good though -- generous portions and solid flavor. When the check came, I was disappointed to see a mandatory 20% gratuity included, especially since the service definitely didn't feel worth 20%, and we were only a party of four. Overall, it's pretty pricey as well. I might come back for the ambience and the food, but I won't exactly be running back.

I have absolutely very Colombian heritage, however, I would be proud to have this my family…read moreheritage food flavors! I was treated very, very well in helping me choose today's lunch special selection. Everything was outstanding; a nice portion of pork, ribs, yellow, rice, and beans, and as other reviewers stated the empanadas must tried! Plenty of leftover go home. I also had the plantains plus a sugar cane drink with lime that was outstanding.

While shopping at the nearby Animal Crackers I saw Mana across the street and decided to drop in to…read moregrab lunch to go. Mana is a nice space with a huge mural painted on one wall with several tables spread out in the restaurant with a comfortable distance between them. To the right is the counter where you order and pay. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and I would have been happy to dine in had I not been running errands. The food is mostly laid out on a steam table behind the counter. I saw different kinds of chicken, pernil, potato salad, green salad, empenadas and more. I wound up ordering yellow rice with black beans and a baked chicken leg. I also ordered a side of Maduros and a chicken empanada. Here's how I found everything (keeping in mind I took it home to reheat before I ate it): Chicken Empanada Unlike most empanadas I get nowadays, this one seemed to have been fried, with a crispy, yellow outer shell. The crunch was fantastic and I really liked the flavor. The chicken inside was super tasty and I immediately wished I had ordered another of these. Maduros I LOVE a good plantain but they are surprisingly hard to find. I would say if I go to five restaurants with them perhaps only two will have really good ones. Maduros should have a nice chewiness, maybe even a bit of caramelization on the outside with a wonderfully sweet flavor. I am happy to report that Mana has exactly this and it was great! Chicken & Rice with Beans The rice with beans were good and had some veggies mixed in. I've had better and I've had worse, so this falls straight in "B" territory. The chicken was the same - tasty, well cooked, moist but the flavor was average. Flavor-wise this is a good dish (not amazing). That said, the *serving size* was tremendous and there was enough rice for me to have over two meals and for that it deserves high marks! I really enjoyed the food from Mana. Sure it's not the best ever, but it was good and priced reasonably. I'd definitely go again.

If I can give this restaurant zero stars I would. I just was…read morethere with my mother and daughter to eat. We all had sancochos.... And while we are eating there is a big roach walking Along the border next to my mother near the table. My mother tried to swat it... and it quickly ran which made my daughter and I jump away from the table. I quickly asked for a box to pack the food and for the bill asap so we can pay. When I told the waitress that there is a roach under the table and that I don't like bugs at all.... She saw it and gave me a look and said " ya" with her hands slightly up ... which in my culture means to "stop" so I took it as her telling me to stop talking about it or to quiet down. I understand there were others eating at this establishment and I would never cause a scene so I quietly told one of the waitresses that I didn't like the way this was handled. They made me feel like I'm not within my right to be upset and express my dislike. I will never be eating here again. And the waitresses are always rude here anyway. This confirmed everything

The waitress left to walk to the kitchen without taking my wife's order, let alone an explanation or even a word. She returned with my empanadas then took my wife's order. This is not proper order-taking protocol. The empanadas were cool, not warm with an inadequate amount amount of hot sauce served in mini take-out cups. My wife ordered shrimp cocktail. Every restaurant I've been to serves them hanging on the edge of a cocktail glass filled with cocktail sauce. Not here. There was one shrimp hanging on the edge and the others were buried inside the glass of salsa. Yes, salsa. Not cocktail sauce. Terrible. We'll never go back and tell all our friends and relatives to avoid the place.
