Food here is decent. Don't think I've had Colombian before so I can't comment on how authentic it was. Portions are fairly big Ordered the Steak with garlic sauce, which was listed as premium, although it really tasted like mid grade meat at best. It was also drenched in creamy garlic sauce which made it extremely heavy. I think this dish is best shared, as it really is too heavy to consume by one person. There was no AC (at least the day we visited), so the restaurant was extremely muggy. We were all dripping with sweat. Everytime someone opened the door to enter, it was a moment of relief as some breeze from outside entered. Virtually no parking, although we were able to find a spot across the street. Our waitress did not really speak English, but we were able to communicate fine. I won't return for the mains, but would not be opposed to just grabbing some bakery items such as the cheese breads.

I came here by the recommendation of a friend, and it was the best choice and Experience ever. I came here with my family The service was impeccable. Everyone was so kind and attentive. The food was huge, so you get big portions. Our favorite was the empanadas. When we didn't know what to order the waitresses helped us decide and explain what was what and for everything that you got it was worth the price and it wasn't expensive, unfortunately i It is far from where we live, but it is definitely worth the drive to come back and enjoy the food all over again !

I had lunch here with a work colleague. I've been a going to other Colombian restaurants in Elizabeth but I was told to try this place. We shared a couple of beef empanadas and cheese breads. I got the steak with onion with side of rice and beans. My guy got the bandeja de paisa. I think what shines here are the baked goods. they tasted more free than other places around the area. the entrees missed their marks a bit. The steak I got was very tough and more over cooked to my liking. The beans were cold upon arrival. The staff were nice but it definitely helps if you know Spanish. credit card accepted. parking may be an issue. I get nervous parking my car on a busy double yellow lines road. and I don't want to park too far away since is near Elizabeth. I'm trying to get lunch and go back to work. I think they have decent wifi. so, maybe a good WFH spot. I saw a couple students sipping on a shaking and typing away on their laptops.

supposedly churrasco al ajillo (that meat was not skirt steak)

Cute place with great service! However the food was horrible! Worse Colombian place in town. My husband ordered churrasco al ajillo cooked medium temp. When he got it, the meat was not churrasco (which is skirt steak). It was like a sirloin and it was so over cooked that the meat was hard. The white rice was pasty and had no salt. We also order penne Al vodka with shrimp. The pasta was over cooked, super mushy and the shrimp were either over cooked or reheated because they tasted rubbery. The empanadas were also reheated, not fresh at all. The chicken breast was good, but that's not hard to get wrong. Would not recommend this place at all and will not be going back. If you are in the area, go to Noches de Colombia or rancho mateo!

This is my first time trying out la Casa Del Pan. When we arrived, it wasn't very busy we were greeted by the host immediately and sat wherever you wanted to. We ordered the bistec encebollado and el pollo encebollado. With a side of white rice, plantains, and a salad. The food was really good. And the portion was enormous. We ended up with a lot of leftovers. For the price this place was really great. Very affordable This place was really good. I can see myself coming back to try something else.

I usually love this place but I had a bad experience today. My server took our order while we were still standing and our apps and meal came at the same time. Wasn't paying attention to our table at all kind of ignored us. The soup was good and so was my chicken. The sides however I would pass. Their potato salad is HORRIBLE!!! Their jugo de mora is watery. And service was just terrible! A waitress even came out the bathroom buttoning her jeans....like GO WASH YOUR HANDS NASTY! I will be taking a break from this spot. Very disappointed.

I would give this place a 5 but I feel they should invest more in the interior of their restaurant like carpets, flooring, and space. First love the staff. They were all super cool, attentive and nice. We did not have food but the people around me who did made it look delicious and smelled really good. Since we were having an early dinner we decided to have coffee, natural juices and some tasty treats. The empanadas were filled from top to bottom and even though they are small they are very filling. All the breads we tried, pan de yuca, pan de bono, and bunuelos were delicious, steamy, and fresh. The natural juices were also really good. Would definitely recommend this place.

The atmosphere was welcoming and lively. I was greeted promptly by a friendly young lady at the front and she suggested that I try the beef empanadas. They only cost a few dollars so I went ahead and bought two. So as I walked to the car, which was conveniently parked in the lot behind the restaurant, I immediately unwrapped my empanada. At first, I thought it was going to be like other empanadas that I've tried which have a crispy shell however these empanadas are similar in a way, but are very different in texture. These empanadas are a bit softer on the outside and have a denser inside filling which include potatoes and beef and it was quite delicious. I thought I could eat both of them, but after one I was full. I will definitely be back to the restaurant since I'm always in that area and it's literally five minutes from where I live. I can't wait to try other items on their menu.

We ordered two margaritas during happy hour (Monday-Thursday, 11 AM-5 PM) and they were solid, especially at 50% off. The bartender was clearly juggling a lot but still managed to keep the drinks coming and the service pleasant. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the start. After waiting about 30 minutes for our bandeja paisa and already feeling pretty hungry, we ordered beef and chicken empanadas to hold us over. They were flavorful and came out fairly quickly. When our entrées finally arrived, both steaks were cold and overcooked despite requesting medium. The chicharrón lacked seasoning, the rice was cold, and the beans were underwhelming. Overall, the service at the bar was fine, but the long wait and disappointing entrées took away from the experience. At $28 per dish, I expected better quality and temperature. While the discounted cocktails were a plus, the food simply did not justify the price and we probably won't be coming back even though we live nearby.

Mana is a nice space with a huge mural painted on one wall with several tables spread out in the restaurant with a comfortable distance between them. To the right is the counter where you order and pay. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and I would have been happy to dine in had I not been running errands. The food is mostly laid out on a steam table behind the counter. I saw different kinds of chicken, pernil, potato salad, green salad, empenadas and more. I wound up ordering yellow rice with black beans and a baked chicken leg. I also ordered a side of Maduros and a chicken empanada. Here's how I found everything (keeping in mind I took it home to reheat before I ate it): Chicken Empanada Unlike most empanadas I get nowadays, this one seemed to have been fried, with a crispy, yellow outer shell. The crunch was fantastic and I really liked the flavor. The chicken inside was super tasty and I immediately wished I had ordered another of these. Maduros I LOVE a good plantain but they are surprisingly hard to find. I would say if I go to five restaurants with them perhaps only two will have really good ones. Maduros should have a nice chewiness, maybe even a bit of caramelization on the outside with a wonderfully sweet flavor. I am happy to report that Mana has exactly this and it was great! Chicken & Rice with Beans The rice with beans were good and had some veggies mixed in. I've had better and I've had worse, so this falls straight in "B" territory. The chicken was the same - tasty, well cooked, moist but the flavor was average. Flavor-wise this is a good dish (not amazing). That said, the *serving size* was tremendous and there was enough rice for me to have over two meals and for that it deserves high marks! I really enjoyed the food from Mana. Sure it's not the best ever, but it was good and priced reasonably. I'd definitely go again.
