I recently stopped by Rotisserie in Plainfield, and it did not disappoint. Brandon took our order and made the whole experience even better. He knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and pointed us toward the Pink Beans. Absolutely delicious. Honestly, I could eat those by themselves and be happy. We ordered the 1/2 rack of charred ribs and a Cuban from the Combos menu, with yellow rice and peas, pink beans, and black beans on the side. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The ribs were falling off the bone, tender, savory, and seasoned flawlessly. The Cuban was also solid, and the sides pulled everything together perfectly. The food and service were fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Only thing missing? Mac and cheese and cornbread. If they added those, I'd probably be there right now. I'd definitely go back, and I'd absolutely recommend it. If you stop by, ask for Brandon and tell him this review brought you in for lunch. Then let me know what you ordered and what you thought. Enjoy. read more

The menu is appealing, and the food is consistently very good. They don't take phone orders, so you have to order through their app and pay in advance by credit card, or order in person on the self-serve kiosks when you arrive. The problem is that this place has become so popular that they are overwhelmed at dinner time. You could be waiting up to an hour for your food after ordering, and sometimes they run out of items, like their signature chicken, and the app does not indicate that in real time. So you could order something, but when you arrive to pick it up, they don't have it. If you are willing to deal with that, by all means come here. I've liked everything I've tried so far--the rotisserie chicken, roasted pork, red beans, black beans, street corn salad, gandule rice, cole slaw, and the sauces, nearly all of which are pretty spicy. I will return, but now only during off-peak meal times. read more

Traditional diets in the Spanish Caribbean have more things in common than differences. Their cuisine is predominantly made up of a combination of Spanish, indigenous Taíno, and African influences, the first and last occurring over the last five centuries. While Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba share similar colonial pasts, different historical trajectories have resulted in the distinctions in national cuisine. Common gastronomies of the Caribbean are obviously fish and seafood in general, and also coconut. But they also love pork, rice, beans, plantains, and spices such as cumin and oregano, and herbs like cilantro. Rooted in the owner's Puerto Rican and Cuban family culinary journey, I decided to pay a visit to their newest location, Terrill Road Rotisserie in Plainfield, for lunch. Upon arrival with the music playing in a cozy, casual, energetic vibe at this family-owned/operated establishment, I was greeted by Brandon and had the whole place to myself for a moment, but it does get crowded. Similar to the Linden facility, their menu consisted of the fusion of Latin flavors featured on 2 kiosks with pictures of every dish so one knows what one's getting for takeout or dine-in. Their menu consists a variety of combos, rotisserie bowls, and sides. I decided on a Roast Pork Bowl with arroz con gandules, sweet plantains, coleslaw, street corn salad, and asparagus. The meal was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and deliciously tasty. The kitchen staff puts their heart and soul into every dish. Portions were healthy for two meals. The price was reasonable in that it won't break one's wallet. The owners, Brian and Mariela, cook with fire, flavor, and love. I can recommend this place. read more

HIGHLY SALTED FOOD. A health hazard for many. Ordered their whole chicken with rice and beans to share as lunch between 3 adults and 2 kids. The food was so salty that none of us could eat past the first bite. We were all quite hungry, but we chose to go without and discard that salty chicken in the trash instead of eating. See the attached photo. read more

I was happy to learn they opened a new restaurant because the one in Linden was great! When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and was greeted and ordered from the kiosk! I ordered: Shrimp With Arroz Con Gandules & Street Corn Salad Prime Churrasco Bowl With Yellow Rice, Potato Salad, Mixed Vegetables, Fries, & black beans The food was delicious! My favorite was the shrimp dish! I enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant! read more

Terrill Rd. Rotisserie 150 Terrill Rd. Plainfield, NJ 07062 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken Combo Located a couple blocks from the East Front Street intersection is a local family owned restaurant that specializes in rotisserie chicken. Owners Brahiam and Mariela recently opened up this second location. Based on the restaurant name, it is a no-brainer that I decided to explore the rotisserie chicken combo. All birds are freshly prepared in the rotisserie oven. 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken Combo: This deal includes a half rotisserie chicken along with two sides of your choice. The chicken is marinated in sofrito, which is a flavorful cooking base with natural ingredients and organic vegetables. The outer skin was cooked beautifully with a perfect char. The 'tissie was tender and juicy on the inside. It easily pulls apart and each bite was pure paradise. The arroz con gandules and mixed vegetables are the backbone to this plate. If you are pressed for time, order online, pay in advance, park your car, and grab your meal at the pick up window. Overall, I was highly satisfied with my 'tissie and I wish the owners and staff all the best with their new endeavor. #terrillroad #plainfieldnj #rotisserie #rotisseriechicken #terrillrdrotisserie #foodstagram #foodreview #localbusiness #familyownedbusiness read more

How many ways can I say Simply DELICIOUS !!!! Once you try the chicken you'll be hooked very tasty fresh and seasoned to perfection. Was introduced to this gem through my husband's job and. this is my only go to now for grilled rotisserie chicken. We've order the whole chicken many times but my favorite is the grilled chicken breast with yellow rice and black beans a Absolute must have is the chimichurri sauce omg! Trust me you'll love it read more

Admittedly only been here once for a half chicken combo meal. Sides are good but nothing phenomenal. The chicken on the other hand - moist, flavorful, perfectly cooked. Wish they offered one complimentary sauce with each combo. Just raise the combo prices a few dines and include one sauce. Will get more people to try the sauces. read more

This Rotisserie is located in a great and convenient location. The parking lot is on the smaller side so I can see that if it got too busy that it would be difficult to find parking. My mom, sister, and I decided to do take out but they do have plenty of indoor seating. My sister and I both decided to try the salad bowl which is the vegan option. With the salad bowl you get to select 4 sides to add to your bowl. I picked the black beans, pico de gallo, white rice, and sweet plantain. My sister and I also ordered a medium size fry to share. My mother ordered the roasted pork combo and got the asparagus and potato salad for her sides. My mother mentioned that she enjoyed her food but she wished she was given a little more asparagus but she said that the roasted pork was tender. As for the salad bowl my sister and I both agreed that the salad bowl was okay but we both aren't fans of arugula which was the type of lettuce used for the bowls which we weren't aware of and we weren't fans of the vinegar type dressing that came with the salad bowl. With that being said the other stuff in the bowl was pretty tasty. So next time I definitely think I will try another bowl instead of the salad bowl. The service was great! read more

First time but picked up aa few family order portions. Everyone enjoy the chicken, pork ribs and yellow rice. Can't phone in orders for pickup so, expect a wait when placing an order. read more

The food here is absolutely amazing is cooked well and on time you're not waiting too long. I really love their bowls. It's a perfect mix of flavor in every bowl. If you put it together correctly, you can sit in there and eat also but it's not the restaurant type vibes more of a fast food type situation. read more

Happy to have this place added to the local area. Ordered a whole chicken tray and it was great. The chicken was flavorful and it was huge! Had the yellow rice and fries and the sides. It was all delightful. This place has filled a void and I'm happy it's in the local area. read more

Sorry I didn't take pics! I tried this spot a few weeks ago. I got an extra order of sweet plantains, 1/2 chicken combo with arroz con granules, red beans and a side of mango salsa. The chicken is seasoned perfectly, the rice was not overcooked or dry and the red beans were an extra touch to pour over the rice. Plantains were super sweet and the portions are great for the price. I was able to eat dinner and have leftovers for lunch the next day. They have been open maybe 2-3 months at the plfd location. The staff were friendly and helpful with all my questions. You can order online, call or go in and order on the kiosk or with a member of the staff. You can do rake out or there is indoor seating available. u can see the kitchen and the chefs preparing the food. They also have a linden nj location as well. Check them out if you are in the area! read more

The chicken had a good taste. The ribs were too big for me. I didn't care for the mixed vegetables I didn't know that they were just peas and carrots. The other BBQ place gives different vegetables. Now I know to order something different read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I got takeout there last week and it exceeded my expectations by far. I got the half rack of ribs combo, the rotisserie chicken combo, and the roast pork combo, and everything was delicious. The ribs were fall-of-the-bone tender with a flavorful sauce. Not swimming in sauce, but just the right amount with a depth of flavor I didn't expect. The coleslaw was vinegar based, not creamy, which is the way I like it, fresh and crisp. Also with great flavor. The fries were nice, and there were plenty of them. The chicken was also very moist and tender with a tangy sauce. The plantains were good. The roast pork was fantastic, which along with a generous portion of yellow rice made two whole meals. The potato salad was also so good and interesting the way it was seasoned. Not only was the food great, but at $13.50 per combo, it's the best value around. I will definitely be back. The standouts were the potato salad, the ribs and the roast pork. read more

Oh my goodness please go here I can't even tell you how good this place is. Look, I'm a simple guy. I want good food. I don't want to break the bank. I don't want to be hungry after I finish the meal! This place does it all. I haven't been all over the world. I haven't tasted every food there is. But this place has food that is only second to the bread and fish served by the Good Lord Himself. Had this place been around 2000 years ago, the Incarnate Christ would have taken the 5000 to this place and they would've had 13 baskets of leftovers read more

Wow! This is a relatively small place, easy to miss on Terrill road, but surprisingly very good food. First time there today because I'd heard good things. Had one of their grilled chicken bowls with a few sides....one of which was plantains that you just don't see everywhere. Food was plentiful and perfectly cooked, sides were also excellent and there's quite a variety to choose from. They also do shrimp or other meats. Will definitely be back. read more

Good food, fast and friendly service, love that the rotisserie chicken is also halal.

First timer to this restaurant. I am writing the review after having just put the leftovers away, of which there were lots. My expectations were not high, despite the very positive reviews, because I am very picky cook, often disappointed by outside food. Let me tip my hat to the chef and creators of the menu, because everything was on point, moist, well seasoned and representative of the best of latin home cooking. The chicken was delicious, the plantains juicy and tender, and the rice, usually dry and flavorless at takeout restaurants, was just as good as my own. I hope you guys have great success in your Plainfield location, and you will certainly be added to our takeout rotation. read more
