You can find Guy Fieri's Flavortown Kitchen & Bar at the Newark Airport, A Terminal. This is the…read morelast restaurant towards the Northern end of the triangle that makes has hallways extending to gates North, East and South. It's hard to miss as there's a huge mural that extends past the restaurant to the North hall. I generally have fairly low expectations of airport restaurants. I find that bars in general tend to be okay and restaurants sub-par. Happy to report that Guy Fieri's Flavortown meets that threshold. I was traveling from NYC via NJ Train to Newark and back to Atlanta, early Friday - the airport was fairly light and the restaurant tables about a quarter full - it was just past lunch. I walked the entire A-terminal to see what was being offered - it's mostly corporate fast-casual or fast-food. Since I had 2 hours to kill prior to my boarding I decided to try out Guy's Flavortown. This is an open-concept restaurant with a large bar extending through the middle. I believe the kitchen is to the left, if you're facing the well-lit "Kitchen + Bar" signage. There's also a quick-grab "quick service" shop to the left if you don't have time to sit and dine. The entrance to seating is to the right. Best thing about it is the large window to the plane taxi/tarmac which you can see to the left of the bar, which provided some natural light and a great view. Right off, there seemed to be three people waiting for customers to arrive (they all seemed like hosts which was a bit weird - I didn't see any of them waiting on tables) - I was seated immediately without a menu or setups (the empty tables were all bar other than a tent advertising "Monster Mash" drinks. There's a QR code so I decided to take a look at the menu while waiting for my server - that was a 10 minute wait. Looking over the menu I decided to get a big sloppy burger and chose the something that looked interesting, basically a Philly cheese stake married to a burger (I don't remember what it was called) mated with a fries assortment. I had a diet soda, deciding it was a bit early to sample the beer menu. The burger took about 10 minutes once I ordered and the service in general was pretty decent. The burger was hot, served on a small metal tray - I liked the flavors of the Philly toppings, but overall the burger itself had a rubbery texture and lacked any seasoning - just bland, which surprised me. I felt like the it had been frozen overnight and even asked the server about it. I still ate it. The fries included three different cuts and had a decent amount of salt - I liked them overall. I still had some space left on my daily expense allotment (yay for corporate travel!) and ordered the Chocolate Whiskey Cake - this thing was huge and enough for 2-4 people to share. I only wish it had been served a bit less chilled but that's a quibble and I understand how that would be hard to do. Overall, my server was great (left a cash tip) 4/5, the food a mixed bag of very mediocre to good 3/5. I'm giving this place a 3/5 overall.

I'd give zero stars if I could. 1 bartender working ~30 seats at the bar, it took almost 15 minutes…read morefor her to get me a menu only to tell me all their taps were down and they had no comparable options in cans. A waste of time, and I've never been impressed with the food so I decided to leave without ordering.

I'd never had the bacon cheese fries before, and they definitely didn't disappoint. The fries were hot, perfectly crispy, and paired beautifully with the rich, creamy melted cheese and smoky bacon. They were easily the highlight of the meal. The staff was also incredibly friendly, which always makes the experience better when you're traveling. Next time, I'll definitely be back to try one of their burgers alongside another order of those fantastic bacon cheese fries. A great stop if you're looking for a satisfying meal before your flight.

From past bad experiences with burgers and product quality issues in many different airport restaurants, I normally don't order burgers because they are always cold, dry, tasteless, and downright horrible. But this burger from Shake Shack was surprisingly very good. I ordered from the self-serving kiosk and the wait time for my order was about 5 minutes. The entire restaurant including the counter area, dining area, and even the condiments station was all very clean and inviting. I ordered the Double Shack Burger made with two smashed angus beef patties, American cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and Shack Sauce on a toasted potato bun, an order of fries and a 20 oz bottled drink for $24.79. A little step, but of course, all menu items are à la carte, and this is airport dining. The bun was fresh soft, and lightly toasted. The burger patties were nicely smashed, hot, juicy, the cheese melted and all the condiments were fresh, cool, and bright. This burger was prepared with care and assembled beautifully to create the perfect burger. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly cooked, lightly salted, and golden brown. This was by far the BEST airport burger and fries I have ever eaten. Date of Visit: Saturday 05-03-26 Shake Shack | Newark Liberty International Airport | Terminal A

As I was leaving NJ post work trip, I was excited to see a location in Newark Airport...I wish I had gone elsewhere. Rolling up to the counter, it took a total of four tries to get my order taken because one of his co-workers kept coming over and messing with him and interrupting/distracting the employee literally mid-sentence. Once I finally got my order placed I made my way and found a table. The wait for my Breakfast Burger w/ Veggie Patty and an order of their Cry+Fry took quite a bit of time...but totally worth it for my order to be made hot and fresh. Wrong. My burger was warm and my customization's were correct but my Cry+Fry was no where near hot and fresh...I would have settled for warm but it was room temp at best and was not good. Most of it went in the trash. Overall the experience was not enjoyable. They do have a full bar and draft beers if that's your thing and also dedicated seating for their location with plugs to charge your devices pre-flight. That's the best thing I can say about my visit to this location. My advice to you: find somewhere, literally anywhere else in EWR to grab a bite or a drink. You'll thank me later.

So a cheeseburger for $10 and a double for $13 seemed like a deal. I went with the double and the ordering and pick up process was quick. Although I will say staff did not seem friendly and more robotic than anything else. But nonetheless I got my food quick. The ambiance is nice, they have a bar to sit and enjoy a beer while you wait but I had to catch a flight. The burger was relatively small to what I was expecting. I had to double check to make sure there were two patties and the slice of tomato was paper thin. I still golfed it down as I was super hungry and it was pretty good. My biggest complaint was portion size but maybe because it's suppose to be "quality" beef that's were they jack up thr price or maybe it's because of it being located in the airport. Who knows. But it still is the best deal that I saw for a quick bite.

I saw Cheeburger Cheeburger located in a small food court-type area and decided to try it. A lethargic woman took my order and asked the usual questions: "You want cheese on that?" "You want all toppin's?" "What kinda drink you want?" "Ketchup for the fries?" She handed me my drink, charged me and gave my order to an even less energetic employee who lowered some fries into the fryer, placed a pre-cooked burger and bun on the griddle and closed the lid. A few minutes later she called out my order, it was already bagged with napkins and ketchup packets and I was good to go. There were 2 high top tables closest to this restaurant in this crowded food court seating area that I'd have been happy to sit at, but both of them had buckets of dirty wash water on them, so I grabbed a seat over at a rail they had for multiple people to sit at. The burger and fries were both good and hit the spot, but nothing that would make me want to rush back to one of this burger chains' restaurants anytime soon. The burger, fries and drink with tax came to $8.86 which was reasonable, especially considering that restaurants in many airports really gouge on pricing since they know you're stuck there with few other options.

The Thrillist said it's the airport's answer to Shake Shack. Huh? Answering what question? It's cheap. A burger with a giant patty is under $7. But it was sloppily made from mediocre ingredients. The burger meat was dense, overcooked, and a bit liver-y in flavor. Yellow cheese, a slice of tomato, some onions and lettuce. The chocolate shake was good. Creamy, rich, nicely chocolatey, like softened ice cream. The paper turtle-friendly straw doesn't really work; ask for a spoon (and so much for avoiding plastics). Disappointing.

I get this burger often and it's one of my favorites. I like the combination of the burger with the sweet pineapple and teriyaki sauce. My hubby got the Double Char plus added cheese and bacon and picked up some complimentary peppers from their pepper bar. He normally gets this burger and really likes it. For the side we had Sweet potato fries w/ classic ranch dipping sauce. For drinks we normally try one of their juices but I take a small sample first because sometimes they're too sweet. Service was friendly and fast so we returned for a second visit... On this trip half the order exactly the same, My hubby had the same burger and sweet potato fries but I wanted to try the Patty melt that they are having back for a limited time. I thought the burger was just ok... It's probably not something I would order again. I also had some onion rings w/ ranch dipping sauce which I love. So basically I recommend sticking with some type of Char Burger. All in all another great visit to Habit :)

After reading all the positive reviews, we had high hopes; but we quickly realized we should have kept driving. This place was absolutely filthy. The entire restaurant looked grimy and poorly maintained, and the food handling did nothing to make us feel any better. There was a large container of potatoes sitting on a shelf directly above the grill. Seeing food sitting out like that was extremely concerning and immediately made me question the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen. I ordered biscuits and gravy with grits and scrambled eggs, thinking at least the grits would be fresh and hot. My other half ordered the corned beef hash and eggs, which were advertised as homemade. The hash appeared to contain a mixture of fresh and old potatoes. He took his food out and threw it away. I ended up feeling sick for the rest of the day. I obviously cannot say for certain what caused it, but after seeing the condition of the place and how the food was being handled, I wasn't exactly surprised that I felt terrible afterward. Honestly, I am kicking myself for not turning around and leaving the moment we walked in. The reviews gave us completely unrealistic expectations. This was one of those meals where you leave wishing you had just gone hungry instead. If cleanliness and proper food handling matter to you, I would seriously think twice before stopping here. Our experience was awful, and based on what we saw, we will absolutely never be back.
