Quesadilla de Carne Asada. Grilled steak Quesadilla
Jerry D.

Tried this spot for Friday dinner. The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The beans were also delicious. However, the rice took away from the whole experience. It was not flavorful at all. The steak quesadilla was will pressed and cheesy. The green sauce was really nice and flavorful. The pico de gallo was amazing. I loved the side of guacamole, bold and flavorful.

Authentic Mexican with homemade feels. Their Tacos Dorados (taquitos) come fried and super stuffed with your choice of protein and they're delicious and crunch-tastic! For all their dishes, they're generous with their tender meat, yummy sauce, and toppings, especially their cotijo cheese. Besides salsa verde and red sauce, they offer mole sauce for enchiladas and other dishes. This spot is just what my town and belly needed! NOTES/TIPS: **They're a mostly take-out kind of restaurant. They label all food containers. **They usually run out of mole sauce so if you want it, it's good to call beforehand. **Street parking available as well as in the rear shared with other businesses. **The'ye on yelp, DoorDash, and Grubhub.

I don't know where to start, I personally felt like this is the hidden gem of Mexican food in Union NJ. The employees were friendly and welcoming. We felt at home. Our skepticism about the menu proved us wrong as I took the first bite of the crispy beef tacos. Every meal was filled with different flavors and was beyond perfect. I highly recommend this place. *Wheelchair accessible *Kids friendly

Chicken Red enchiladas / Enchiladas Rojas

Very Expensive vs similar establishments Red Enchiladas $21.45 vs $13 Exciting taste was lacking... both dishes dull in flavor

Great tacos! Carne asada taco was definitely my favorite of the three I tried. Al pastor and chicken pretty good but not as exciting. The tacos were a good size and you can order the tacos by one which is always a bonus. The guacamole was ok, a tad limey if you prefer that. The chips were excellent however. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Was around the area and googled restaurants near by for lunch. As I'm scrolling I see a picture of a mexican dish and it looked really good. I said to myself man, I haven't had Mexican in sooooo long. Told wife we heading to the spot and I must say. It was a nice cozy place and the music was pleasant. Waitress/cashier was super friendly. Place is clean and parking seemed to be good or I just got lucky out front on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the bean and cheese burrito and the appetizer were nachos with guacamole. I have no clue what the Mrs. had, but it looked good. All in all I would definitely go back if I'm around that area. I live in Brooklyn so it's not very often I'll be eating there. I do hope to though. Took some photos, but not very good shots I'm afraid.

It was my first time here and it was so worth it. I will deffinetly be back. The enchiladas had so much flavor and were spicy. The tacos tostados which resembled flautas were delicious as well. All the food tasted and looked home made. The customer service was super friendly too. I would say this is more of a takeout spot but they do have a dine in option.

Chorizo and chicken sopes, al pastor tacos, and the most amazing guacamole.

Taqueria La Casita - Shrimp Tacos

Taqueria La Casita

No matter who you are or where you're from, there's a strong chance that you're familiar with the…read moremeaning of "Taco Tuesday," which exists across the US, from Los Angeles to small-town Tennessee, from food trucks in the barrios to high-end restaurants in hipster haunts. For some of us, it might simply call for going out and getting tacos or even just preparing our own. Situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Roselle Park, this establishment is set inside a small corner suburban home where some of my colleagues decided on takeout, which came highly recommended. Upon arrival at Taqueria La Casita, or "The Little House Taqueria," we were confronted outside by the neon signage reading "Tacos Open" and Mexican flags, among other pieces of colorful decor. Greeted by the staff inside an un-air-conditioned cozy dining room decked out in its Mexican splendor with 4 tables. In the back, a colorful menu with nearly a dozen different types of tacos and an array of other dishes written by hand. We opted for individual orders containing 4 tacos with Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, and Pork. While waiting, we couldn't help but notice the trompo--the spinning, shawarma-adjacent log of marinated pork used for Al Pastor, which translates to "in the style of the shepherd." Originating in Puebla, this came at the hands of Lebanese immigrants during the 1930s. The tortilla itself was freshly made, of the corn variety. They were stuffed to the brim with meat prepared in front of us and served with cucumbers and lime. Fresh condiments of diced onion, cilantro, and avocado were separated in their own container, and all were needed. Various sauces accompanied in small containers, such as green, which was jalapeño-based; the darker red salsa was smoky from dried and smoked chipotle chilis; and neon orange, which was a sauce made from chili de arbol and tomato. The guacamole was absolutely delicious along with the chips, and we couldn't get enough. The portion was a healthy size. The service was fast; Maribel was friendly and accommodating. Authentic, fresh, and affordable--we can recommend this place.

Great value, traditional flavors, solid portions. Very friendly staff. Will be back!read more

I've now eaten here twice and was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor in their burrito…read moremojado, which means "wet." True to form, there's so much salsa on the burrito that it comes in a bowl to contain it all. Drenched in a salsa de chile and sour cream, the burrito is so deliciously moist that you'll likely have trouble keeping it together when you take a knife and fork to it. (Forget about hand-holding this bad boy. Maybe the California burrito will be more manageable in that respect.) The salsa is excellent, with a robust flavor to it and only the slightest hint of natural sweetness and an earthiness that almost hints at a smokiness. (I don't care much for sweet or smoky, so it's quite a feat that the complexity brings just a touch of those elements without letting it get out of control.) I'm not even sure if there's a single ingredient that stands out: It all just works together brilliantly. The space is well-lighted and bright, even on a dreary January afternoon. My two visits have been during off-hours, so there was almost no wait and the tables were orderly and clean. I'll have to try the tacos and other offerings, but they got a lot exactly right. I just hope it's able to maintain that quality.

I found it to be more satisfying with fresher ingredients than the average Chipotle bowl. The potatoes were toasty and soft and the pollo asado was fresh off the grill. Rather than toss the ingredients together, they thoughtfully prepared the bowl with a good amount of everything. There was a dedicated pickup shelf for a fast and easy pickup for online orders. The space is bright and welcoming. The staff was attentive and handed me a cup to get a refreshing mango agua fresca.
