Amazing service , definitely some strong sangria . The ambiance is absolutely beautiful...

My friend and I got together for some good Mexican food. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted by the host/server and sat. It was a dimly lit restaurant. I started with the red sangria, and that was tasty. I was a little disappointed because they had no red wine for my next drink, so stuck with the sangria. For my appetizer, I got the camarones scampi, but it was a garlic shrimp, and it was tasty. My friend had the fiesta platter and I tried it and it was good. We then had the shrimp tacos, which were delicious! For my meal, I got the red snapper, and my friend had the garlic shrimp dish. I really enjoyed the red snapper, and my friend enjoyed the shrimp. We then had the dulce de leche cheesecake, which was good. We really had a good experience!

SORRY BUT NOT SORRY.... My bf and I visited this restaurant for Friday night dinner . The restaurant was small , intimate, and very festive. However when my bf went to the bathroom he noticed a mouse running up the wall . I immediately notified our server and we left the establishment. However The red and peach sangria was good that we drank and enjoyed prior to him seeing the mouse .

we went on a quiet monday night because the weather was gorgeous & we wanted to sit outside. they have a few outdoor tables right in front of the restaurant. we also found parking right in front! i ordered the sweet kiss mocktail & veggie fajitas - they have an extensive vegetarian menu & the rice is also vegetarian & they give you vegetarian beans, which was amazing to see. the corn tortilla bowls they put the rice & beans in are also very cute. my bf ordered chicken fajitas & beef empanadas. everything was great. i also loved the chips & salsa. the salsa was restaurant style & not chunky which is better in my opinion. their homemade hot sauce has a kick & was very flavorful. service was quick & efficient, & our waitress was very nice.

This was my second time here. I enjoyed the decor and ambiance of the place. The servers are super nice and accommodating. The food is really good! I feel though that the chicken in the flair as sampler I had could have used a tad bit more seasoning. The red snapper is absolutely delicious. Their sangria is excellent as well. If you're in the area, stop by, you won't be disappointed.

I like Mexican food. Mexican cuisine is awesome. So awesome that I'm always willing to give new places a try. I've said this before about other places like this. The food is good, especially when it comes to tacos, BUT so are a lot of other places and as someone else mentioned we got Millburn prices going on big time. 3 Carne Asada tacos for almost $16?? c'mon. (Yes I know steak) But the main offerings here are all noticeably higher than your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Again though, it was good as was the Queso fundido app that we got. I'd recommend. The service was good. We came on Halloween and the host was dressed the part which was nice and the patio has a very unique heating system to adjust with the way we have to dine now present pandemic, but about a 3rd of the way into our meal it shut off and I'm not sure they were having some difficulty but it didn't come back on and we cut the visit a bit short as it got cold quick. So my verdict is it's a decent enough Mexi spot but you will pay. I'm a bit spoiled by other spots that have more competitive prices and better tacos. If they can get the seating and heating down smooth though I could see coming again for the convenience of it.

Despite the moderately upscale ambiance and clean, contemporary aesthetic, the emptiness made us wonder: did we miss a memo? Was there a sudden local embargo on Mediterranean food? Luckily, the dining room eventually filled up, saving us from eating our dinner in a complete echo chamber. My dining companion and I started off with the Hummus appetizer ($11) served with a modest side of toasted pita. It was tasty and definitely hit the spot. We both decided to keep things light and ordered salads with a side of grilled salmon. I went with the Marouli salad ($16) -- crisp romaine lettuce, dill, and scallions with a lemon-olive oil dressing -- and my companion chose the Greek Village salad ($19), a shepherd-style salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, Holland peppers, feta cheese, olives, and Greek dressing. Both were fresh, well-prepared, and hit the mark. The salmon was also delicious, which is a good thing, because it came with an $18 upcharge that was not listed on the printed menu. For dessert, we ordered the baklava ($13), three pieces of an already intensely sweet treat that had apparently been subjected to an excessive dusting of powdered sugar. As for the service, our server and the food runners were competent but not overly friendly towards us or other diners. I also noticed that the staff tended to take care of tables out of order in which they were seated.. resulting in diners who arrived after us being served before us. Overall, it's a perfectly fine 3-star experience. I'd gladly go back if someone else was picking the spot, but if I'm the one in charge of dinner plans, I'll probably cast my net elsewhere in the area. PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home or stop at the Wine Shop liquor store located on the opposite corner of the intersection of Main Street and Millburn Avenue for some adult beverages to enjoy with your meal. EVOO & Lemon is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: EVOO & Lemon does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking and municipal lots nearby. Use the mPay2Park app for the pay-by-plate meters ($0.50 per hour). Meters operate Monday through Saturday from 8am to 7pm; all street meters are free after 7 pm and all day Sunday. If the street is full, the Essex Street parking deck (24 Lackawanna Place) is a reliable backup.

I recently visited to celebrate my mom's birthday on an early Saturday afternoon. The food was spot-on and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere is nothing too over-the-top, but classy. A solid 'occasion' destination. We were first treated to a bread basket with an assortment of fresh breads and focaccia, with a trio of dips/spreads (a tomato/red pepper-ish dip, butter, and a bean dip). So good, we had to get a second basket! Annnnd onto the apps - we (a party of 6, 2 of which were kids), we ordered/shared the: Tartare di Tonno (Wild tuna tartare with cucumber, homemade chips - $17.95) - amazing, very fresh and believe it had some sort of dijon mustard kick that really took it over the top Calamari Fritti (Fried calamari with marinara sauce - $15.95) - crispy and served with a nice marinara sauce. Polpo alla Griglia (Tender charred Spanish octopus, chick peas, julienne carrots, string beans, radish, parsley, lemon, extra virgin olive oil - $20.95) - the octopus was perfectly cooked, and the chickpeas/carrots, etc., added some delightful brightness to the dish. For my meal , I opted for the trout stuffed with crab meat, capers, roasted potatoes and broccoli. The trout with crab meat was delicious and a nice sized portion as well. For dessert, we all shared the: Apple Cobbler (Served warm with cinnamon ice cream - $13.50) - absolutely divine! Probably the best one of the lot. Baked Alaska (ce cream, almond pound cake and baked meringue - $13.50) - fiery presentation and all, this one did not disappoint! Tartufo Trio (A trio of chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut semifreddo - $13.50). All in all, Basicilo is a neighborhood Italian institution, and rightfully so. Definitely worth keeping in the rotation and considered for occasions.

This is a nice quiet spot, nice atmosphere, great service from the waitress. I started off with the chicken dumplings, probably the lowest rating food I had.
