Special Beet Salad of the day!
    Ze'eva K.

EVOO & Lemon has become one of my favorite spots, and every time I visit, it's a consistently wonderful experience. While I've tried a few different dishes here, my absolute favorite is the lamb. Most recently, I had the lamb shank with orzo, and it was absolutely delicious--the meat was so tender and flavorful, and the orzo paired perfectly with it. I also had the beet salad with garlic purée during my last visit, which was a special that night. It was such a unique and flavorful dish; I hope they bring it back often because it was a standout. The waitstaff here are incredibly efficient and attentive. They're quick to respond when you need something but never hover, which creates a relaxed yet well-served dining experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is perfect for a date night or a dinner with friends, and being a BYO restaurant makes it even better--just bring your favorite bottle of wine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I just never get tired of good Greek food and I'm always excited to find great new restaurants to add to the mix when I want a taste of home. I came here with my mom not too long ago for a lunch and had a great meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat out on the back patio because we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and shared a few different plates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First, I love that they bring some warm pita and a small serving of hummus over after you order. The food didn't take long at all, but it was definitely nice to munch on something while we waited. We started with the lentil soup and the grilled artichoke. The lentil soup was really tasty, but did have a strong vinegar taste, which was pretty new. My mom who usually loves lentil soup but hates vinegar was not a fan, so I happily cleaned the bowl. The grilled artichoke was a show stealer. It came on a bed of hummus, with grilled bits of asparagus, tomatoes, maybe onions or garlic? It was delicious and we left trying to figure out how we could recreate it at home. For our entree, we split the signature salad and added salmon and avocado. The salmon came on the side with capers and on a bed of lettuce. To add salmon, it was an extra $18 which is alot, but at least it was a pretty decent size. Still, $18 is a lot and it was another extra $6 or $7 to add the avocado. So yes, it was delicious, but definitely not $40+ for a salad delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful space with friendly staff and a delicious menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It can be pricey but at least it is BYOB! If you find yourself in this cute little town craving Greek food, it's a good choice.

Really amazing place! The service was amazing and super friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was perfect for either date dinner / brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most guests were adults 21+ at least the time we went. The food was just amazing, juicy and tender lamb, great veggies grilled I wish I knew what they sautéed with! The guest that got salmon said she got the best salmon in her life! I dont usually get lamb but I was curious. It was so soft and tender. Well seasoned. Only downside was the potatoes, that was only salty thing from the dish. The kebab was also so so delicious. I am not sure if the baklava is originally looks like this but they were very strong in nutty and cinnamon flavor and was not sweet at all. Overall would give 4.5 stars out of 5

Catch of the Day - Bronzino

Excellent Greek restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Millburn! The head chef was previously employed by Avra in NYC for 10 years. We ordered the octopus & tuna tower for appetizers, and each got the Bronzino for our mains. Everything was spectacular and exceeded our expectations of the restaurant. The service was informative and helpful while the atmosphere wasn't anything too special. Regardless, the food was spectacular...FYI it is BYOB. White wine pairs very well with their fish.

The food was delicious, and the servings were generous. Efsane is a big space with ample seating, and nicely decorated. There is plenty of parking out front. There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. I left there stuffed and so happy! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

I'm seeing many 3-4 star reviews from fellow Yelpers and I keep thinking that perhaps my experience…read morewas a singular one. The two stars I'm giving here is for the restaurant itself. This restaurant looks great. There is a nice counter area to order, a really nice seating area inside and even outdoor seating. Some of the decor makes you feel like you're in a household's kitchen. By the cashier there is a table you can wait at complete with local newspapers. It's very charming. This was my first visit and I ordered my food to go. I had two key dishes. The first was hummus with falafel, which is very standard for me whenever I go to any Mediterranean place. When I opened the take out box at home I was really surprised. Most places give you a good amount of hummus, but here it was basically a thin layer. Kind of like a layer of mayo on a sandwich (maybe a tad thicker). Then on top of the hummus was a huge layer of pickled vegetables and tiny pickles. This was a surprise. I've had hummus orders from a lot of restaurants before and I've *never* seen this on an order before. Then the falafel balls were on top and well...they were really dry and didn't have much flavor. Now, sometimes you can cover that up by just coating the falafel in hummus, but there wasn't enough hummus to do that. The dish was just disappointing all around. The other dish I tried were the Lemon Potatoes. They were good! The lemon flavor was strong and they were cooked well. Not the best example in the area, but they would do in a pinch. At some point I'll give this place another try. Maybe this was a fluke (at least I hope so).

I was traveling with a group for business and none of us are from the area. We were surprised that the restaurant was BYOB! So, be sure to bring your own bottle of wine for the adults who imbibe and/or sippie cups of juice for the little ones. The beverage options appeared to be tea, coffee, soda, sparkling or still water. The service was friendly and attentive. We tried a variety of appetizers including the large combo platter of dips that were a crowd pleaser. They were served alongside dense, warm, fresh rounds of yeasted bread. They used sliced carrots as little barricades between the dips on the large combo platter which worked very well (We would have loved an option to have a platter of fresh veggies like cucumbers and carrots to scoop up the dips. The bread was much more dense than pitas and flatbreads we'd had before but, it was delicious nonetheless) We ordered an array of kebabs for dinner. Everything was delicious and juicy. The crispy shaved lamb was the best thing on the table but the beef and chicken dishes were also delicious. The rice is very moist and cooked with caramelized onions. There were some delicious roasted vegetables and tzatziki served with the meats that further enhanced everyone's enjoyment. We wrapped it up with baklava that was served warm and perfectly cut into Shareable squares. This is a great Mediterranean spot and we all would return again if we find ourselves in the area.
