Salmon Kebab
Stacey G.

Came here for dinner last week and ate outside. The server was so friendly! We ordered salmon kebabs which were great. For my son we ordered steak kebabs, it was about $15-$16 for the kebabs without sides, he loved it! We've ordered delivery a few times, always good. We will absolutely continue to dine in and order delivery/ take out!

Chicken Shawarma lunch platter.

We had lunch at Biladi Grill and it was fabulous! We enjoyed the beef/lamb and chicken shawarma platters. The meats were flavorful and not dry. We selected the salad and couscous which complemented the meal. If you enjoy Mediterranean food, Biladi has many selections and lunch was very reasonably priced. Will be back when in the area!

Ordered the shawarma meat platter with beef and chicken (5/5). You get two sides and had Mediterranean salad which was fresh and had perfect amount of dressing. Tried the bulgar instead of rice and it was fantastic! Smaller restaurant that was filled up with people and it's like that for a reason, highly recommend!

We came here for lunch since my boyfriends dad is diabetic. Mediterranean diet is great for diabetics. The food was fresh and tasty. We ordered hummus and a Mediterranean salad. Service was great. We sat outside in a nice summer day. No complaints. I wished I ordered the kanafe :(

We had dinner at Biladi last night. Small restaurant but very friendly n clean right on main st. There's parking at the bank lot 2 doors down. We had the lentil soup and appetizer platter - babaghsnoush, saksuka, fried calf liver n fried calamari w pita bread. Generous portions n more than enough for 2 persons. Had the moussaka n the grilled bronzino w salad n cous cous. Was Demi ious n portions were big n have leftovers topped it off w the kanega Which was yummy - not too sweet. Just enough for two to satisfy the sweeet tooth. Thanks for a great dinner biladi.

My partner and I visited Biladi Grill on a whim with a bottle of wine in hand. There's a liquor store right across the street, so you can take advantage of their BYOB option. The restaurant is rather narrow inside, but you're still separated enough from others to enjoy your dining experience. You definitely get the impression of it being a family-style of business, which only adds to the coziness of the space. The menu has a perfect variety of items to choose from, especially with vegetarian/vegan options. The service was prompt and we were able to place our order with ease. Once our food arrived, we were delighted to dig in--everything was seasoned well and the portion sizes were plentiful.

Biladi Grill was amazing. The owners were so kind and happy that we came to visit the restaurant. The weather was nice enough to sit outside and the street has a really nice town feel. It was during the summer so there were a few bugs outside but the owners were fast acting and got us a candle. The food was absolutely amazing. We had Lamb Chops and they were mouth watering. so good that I wanted to take an order to go! I have to say that the most surprising great thing I experienced was the LEMONADE! It is to DIE FOR. I believe there was mint in it as well. It is also BYOB but there is a store right across the street and there was plenty of street parking. definitely heading back!

How was this place? It was f'ing amazing. The food was spot on and they catered to my bazaar food allergies. Excellent choice for this type of cuisine. The inside is very nice and they also have several tables lining the sidewalk. The staff was very nice and service was quick. Glad we found this place.

Lentil Soup

COME HUNGRY! I came here to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday with my husband's family…read morerecently. There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. I left there stuffed and so happy! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

I just moved from Montclair, which is very near the famous middle eastern food scene in Paterson,…read moreNJ. I was very worried that, after the move, I would not be able to find middle eastern food that would compare. However, I was wrong, and Esfane definitely satisfied my craving! I was in the mood for a light lunch, so I ordered the Shepard's Salad, the Baba Ghannouj, and the Lentil Soup. The Baba Ghannouj was excellent and came with lots of pita bread. It could've been a little smokier for my taste, but overall I got a huge serving and it was very creamy and flavorful. The Sheppard's salad was similarly huge and delicious. The lentil soup tasted home-made and was so comforting to dip all of my extra bread in. At the end of lunch, I was also served some complimentary tea, which definiitely was the icing on the cake to this exceptional experience. Overall, I was extremely satisfied by the quality of the food, but also by the amount. The service was similarly excellent. My water was constantly filled and the waiters checked on me numerous times to ensure everything was going well. The decorations inside were also exceptional, and the restaurant definitely gives high-class date night vibes. I could totally see coming back for a date night with my husband. I think the only downside is that I didn't find the food to be QUITE as good as some Paterson joints like Al Basha, and the price felt like it was 1.5x-2x as much. Probably worth it though, because this has got to be one of the better restaurants around in Flanders.

No wi-fi or phone…read moreconnection inside the restaurant, so you can't use your phone for anything---which can turn into an intentional exercise in disconnecting. I could not view reviews of dishes, so had to step outside to take a peak. Cannot justify paying such prices for dinning in a tiny, dark space in half-basement in the middle of NJ. Just can't. The portions are generous, which is good. But the prices are still outrageous for the location and vibe. It is BYOB for alcohol. We walked in on Sunday at 6pm without reservations and by 7pm, the small space filled up. The $12 hummus was bad. Store bought hummus of the cheapest brand tastes better. Seriously don't understand how a hummus can taste so bland and meh. No seasoning? The pita that came with it was low quality--it gave my friend an allergic reaction right away [he has sensitivity towards poor quality flour products]. $44 paidakia--lamb chops--had 4 chops that were tender and delicate. Pasnip pure was bland and totally a miss--did nothing to complement anything on the plate. Barely any demi lace sauce--definitely on the dry side. Asked for potatoes to be sutstituted for brocollini, but the kitchen did not follow through with that ask, even though our waitress confirmed it was possible. $39 lamb souvlaki was a solid dish. Filling and hearty. Good quality meat skewer. Smoked eggplant puree had a very strong smoke flavor. Lemony potatoes had bright, refreshing lemomy flavor that we appreciated. Service is attentive and quick. Complementary toothbrushes in the bathroom were a nice touch--a star for this little amenity.

It's a lovely restaurant and the owners are friendly and happy to chat. Seeing as I grew up in this town, it was kind of weird to see such a great Middle Eastern place take hold - back in the day it was Chinese or Italian and that's IT. We've tried a fairly extensive range of their offerings, appetizers to entrees, and they're uniformly well made and well presented. Lots of parking in the lot in back and other than the longish walk around the block to get to the front door, nothing to criticize about access.

I tasted piece of the chicken in the chicken salad & it was really good & well flavored so it was kind of puzzling to me that The chicken thigh lacked flavor even though the chicken itself was fresh & delicately grilled, vegetables was great especially the baby potatoes, rice was meh! But it came with no kind of sauce. There were at least 3 tables celebrating their birthday which I took for a good sign & place appears child friendly without being annoying so it seems like a great neighborhood spot. With good atmosphere & great service, & fresh ingredients, I was somewhat disappointed in the lack of flavors in several dishes but I would still cautiously recommend this place if you live in the neighborhood but I would not go out of my way to get to this restaurant.
