Beautiful, Fresh, and Worth a Visit I stopped by this cute, beautiful, and very clean restaurant a few nights ago, and I'm really glad I did. My wife tried the branzino, while I decided to go with the dorado. Both fish were fresh, perfectly cooked, and very well flavored. The ambiance is also fantastic--warm, inviting, and a place where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices. The portions were generous, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality. I definitely want to come back and try some of their other dishes, especially the shish kebabs and lamb kebabs. A modern and stylish Turkish restaurant. Lighting was not super bright or dim. Service was fantastic, the server took my umbrella for me and the chef came out to greet me and asked me how I was doing. The bread served was super soft and had great taste. The olive oil didn't seem to pair super well with it though. Got the Adana kebab and mixed grill to go (sampled all the items at the restaurant while still hot). Chicken shish- fairly tender. Slightly charred. Good flavor Lamb shish- cooked ~ medium with a little pink. Good flavor but could be a bit more tender. I do prefer my meats medium rare so it could just be that. Adana kebab- Tender, good flavor. I think it could've been a bit juicier? Burger- super tender and full of flavor. Best meat by far. Veggies and rice- both very good. This is our second visit to 460 bistro. We went for my uncle's 86 birthday dinner! I love it here! A really nice restaurant with beautiful decor, brick walls, full bar and lots of parking in the rear. The food is great and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. You could just have the appetizers for the table and be satiated. We were lucky we order dinner after the appetizers because I had to rethink my order. The dips and salads are wonderful and on the larger size. We all had the beet salad, Greek salad, hummus and calamari to start. I had the octopus for my main which was an appetizer and my wife had the lentil soup. Very good!! You should try this Turkish restaurant and enjoy all the flavors of turkey right in the Oranges. read more

I've been here a few times over the years. Starting with a place to get food to my dad who had issues with traveling and then just for myself and Lovey when we were in town. It's a lovely restaurant and the owners are friendly and happy to chat. Seeing as I grew up in this town, it was kind of weird to see such a great Middle Eastern place take hold - back in the day it was Chinese or Italian and that's IT. We've tried a fairly extensive range of their offerings, appetizers to entrees, and they're uniformly well made and well presented. Lots of parking in the lot in back and other than the longish walk around the block to get to the front door, nothing to criticize about access. read more

Great experience and delicious food at one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in New Jersey! Service was friendly and responsive, although it was late afternoon so pretty empty inside. I'm sure it can get pretty busy during regular dinner hours. I usually have an aversion to lamb since it can be pretty gamey but the server convinced me that the Monti had only such a small amount that it would not really be noticeable. He was right, although the dumplings had probably too much dough for my taste. I would have preferred bigger dumplings with more ingredients inside rather than these tiny portions, but it was nonetheless tasty because of the sauce. The sautéed seafood platter was very good in a tomato base which wasn't too strong and just right. Very nice generous mixture of different seafood, including calamari, shrimp, and scallops. I'm not much of a bread eater, but the pita offering at the beginning was a nice touch although not very tasty even with the olive oil. The highlight for me was certainly the grilled octopus appetizer. Grilled just perfectly where it was not too chewy and with ample amounts. This was probably the best grilled octopus appetizer that I've ever had! My only issue with the restaurant was it's on a busy corner with very limited street parking. There is a parking lot in the rear, but it's reserved for other retail establishments and not this restaurant. I'm not sure if they would actually tow the vehicle but it's still a risk to find parking. Definitely will be coming back to try other menu options, but certainly will have the grilled octopus again! read more

We stopped in on a whim last night. I called to see what the wait would be for 2 people, we were given seats at the bar which was fine with us but the hostess could not have been more accommodating to make sure we we seated at a table. The drinks were good. We ordered tzatziki (delicious), pita, falafel (amazing) and the grill sampler to share. The chicken was some of the tastiest and juiciest chicken I have ever had. The rice was perfect and seasoned phenomenally. I don't usually eat/ like lamb but these were perfect. The meatballs in the sampler were also quite good. We did not have dessert. The wait staff were all attentive (without hovering) and the hostess checks in on all tables. Overall a great dining experience in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. read more

What a pleasant surprise this place was! I'd passed by it oodles of times but finally got the chance to go in recently. It was not what I expected-- it was so much better! The interior is nicely decorated but not overdone. It's a very welcoming atmosphere and is fancy-ish (in a good way) comparative to its locations and the typical quick bite eateries in the surrounding area. I only had time/appetite for a quick bite, so I ordered the lentil soup and kibbeh-- both cooked to perfection. While it didn't need it, I did splash some lemon in the soup (comes with a slice) and omg, it totally opened up the taste. They serve it with Turkish pita bread, which was perfectly warm and soft! The kibbeh was delicious, NOT too heavy, not at all oily- as many places can tend to be- just really balanced and scrumptious. The surprise winner of the meal was the perrrrrfect lebneh on which the kibbeh comes served. Perfectly balanced in taste and brightly lemony. For someone who usually doesn't eat dairy, I'm sure I coulda fooled folks :) This is a family-owned business and, let me tell you, you are treated so well! The staff were so sweet and attentive. They were so hospitable and you could just tell that the every dish there is (Warning: corny alert ‼) cooked with love. (Yeah, I said it.) This is one of those places where you look for a reason to go back (not like you need one). Seriously though, with its family atmosphere and amazing food, this is a great place for small (4-6 ppl) groups, especially multigenerational family dinners. Ate here this evening after flying in from Phoenix. Street parking in front, pretty easy. Sat quickly, waiters very friendly, attentive, professional, and patient to explain the dishes. We started with Falafel--best we've ever had. Ever. Perfectly cooked, excellent flavor, not overly dry, sitting on smooth hummus, and salad with balsamic. We followed that up with Stuffed Cabbage and Greek Moussaka. Both just knocked out of the park. Unbelievably good. And extremely fairly priced! Finished with Kunefe which was just heavenly. I had the lentil soup & my wife had the chicken soup, both were bland in our opinion & the lentil soup was a really light consistency which was not what I was expecting, calamari was really 10/10 fresh with good light breading but sauce was bland & did nothing for it. I tasted piece of the chicken in the chicken salad & it was really good & well flavored so it was kind of puzzling to me that The chicken thigh lacked flavor even though the chicken itself was fresh & delicately grilled, vegetables was great especially the baby potatoes, rice was meh! But it came with no kind of sauce. There were at least 3 tables celebrating their birthday which I took for a good sign & place appears child friendly without being annoying so it seems like a great neighborhood spot. With good atmosphere & great service, & fresh ingredients, I was somewhat disappointed in the lack of flavors in several dishes but I would still cautiously recommend this place if you live in the neighborhood but I would not go out of my way to get to this restaurant. read more

I enjoyed a nice dinner at 460 Bistro with my husband last weekend. This was our first time here after countless times saying to each other that we needed to try this place out. The inside of this corner restaurant is way more spacious than it appears from outside. We both commented on how we liked the decor of the place and liked the light fixtures. We were seated at a cozy booth by the host. All the staff at 460 Bistro were friendly. Food was very good. Pita bread was bought to our table, warm and soft. I ordered adana kebab and my husband ordered falafel. He loved his entree, saying that the hummus with his falafel was delicious. The vegetables with my kebab were fresh and tasty, and the rice was perfectly cooked. We rounded off our meal with an espresso and Turkish tea. Overall a wonderful dining experience. Finally stopped in for brunch. Very friendly staff and nicely renovated, very clean. We started with the trio of Baba Ghanoush, Tzatziki and Hummus. All delicious and served with excellent hot puffy pitas. We both had the Lamb Shish, cooked perfectly served with veg, potatoes and rice pilaf. Very filling and tasty. We had come here dozens of times for the previous restaurant, and this was our first time trying 460 Bistro. Everything was fresh & exceptionally prepared. The service was very attentive, but not annoying, and everything we tried was delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and suggested that we try the pink lady (which I did) and I did not regret it. The lamb shish was grilled perfectly. They even brought out a little birthday tray for our coworkers special day. Just note that there is a 3.5% fee for credit card use. We are delighted about the menu, the service, the food and the atmosphere with customized decorations: three chandeliers, two post lights, and various mirrors. Also the four outside tables with orange-colored umbrella facing east will provide plenty of shade in the afternoon. The lawn is beautifully manicure. Upon talking to all three staffers, the restaurant opened since three years ago. The chef/owner and the staffers came from Istanbul, Turkey. This is very good Turkish food. The restaurant is beautiful and they did a lot of work on it as they took over the old Grillera space. The owner is lovely and came out to introduce himself and ask about the food. The portions are big and priced well. Food is delicious and our experience was good both time we have eaten here. I would have given this 5 stars however we did have one hiccup with service on our second visit. Our server brought the wrong entree to our table. We spoke to him to let him know and he became argumentative for no reason. That was unnecessary but it happened and made for a few awkward moments. My wife & I ate here this evening for the first time. Everything was outstanding! The food was fantastic. We had the Babaganush & Grape Leaves appetizers. Both were very tasty. The Mixed Grill was plentiful with 2 types of lamb, chicken, lamb meatballs, rice, veggies & potatoes. The meats were perfectly cooked, charbroiled, tender & very flavorful.
