Standard fare desserts, nothing special or extraordinary... Generous portions, no frills Ambiance could use some work; this location is more low key, family vibes, not somewhere you'd take on a date to impress; more of a long-term relationship where you want to eat decent desserts in a casual sitdown read more

Who would give a negative review on a place with a name like chocolate house? The menu is robust with so many delicious things to choose from. Parking is nice and easy and the restaurant is nice clean. The staff behind the counter was also friendly and offered good suggestions as it was my first time. Will def return! read more

Yummy little dessert place that will fulfill your every chocolate craving. The variety was more than I was expecting. Most of the desserts are very indulgent so I opted for some customization and the staff was very accommodating with my order. There was plenty of seating and several large tvs to watch sports. Definitely worth a visit! read more

The ambiance is fun and inviting. Customer service was good/ standard. I got the 3 chocolate or milk chocolate strawberry cup and a salted caramel pretzel shake. My friend got a Dubai chocolate bar and a Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. Everything was delicious except the salted caramel pretzel shake. There was no salted caramel flavor it just tasted like a vanilla shake and the pretzel in the shake were soggy and just didn't go. The issue I had was with their ordering system. There were multiple people who ordered after us and got their order first and I could understand if we got a large order but we didn't. I also wish the strawberries were coated before being put in the cup as most of the chocolate got stuck to the cup instead of the strawberries. Also 4 things for 50 dollars is pricey. read more

Seen this place on tiktok. We went on a saturday night. It was busy, it was the only dessert place that was open until 12am. We got dubai crepe, kinder bueno lover. It is very VERY very SWEETTTT. I wish they added stawberry slices on the dubai crepe and kinder bueno to balance out the sweetness. read more

this guy at the front gave me a hard time for no reason. saw me standing and waiting to order, to ignore me and said "line is behind these guys". and then when i order "one red velvet crepe and smore crepe" only puts smore and whispers "waffle or crepe". So I said crepe again. And then says "10.22" without the red velvet, so I remind him and he gets mad and asks why im being so rude. LIKE BUDDY, YOU'RE WHISPERING, IGNORING ME, ASKING ME TO REPEAT, FORGETTING THE ORDER and then gets mad at me saying im disrespectful. I've worked in food and I understand waiters and bartender, but this guy has to be the worst customer service employee I've ever met. Other than that, the crepes taste pretty good read more

Chocolate House is THE spot to satisfy your sweet tooth. Yeah, you might feel an onset of type 2 diabetes coming on when you read the menu... but life is too short. EAT THAT TREAT. They have dessert crepes, waffles, shakes, churros, cakes, sundaes, chocolate dips, etc. Whatever you're craving, they most likely have it. I believe the Paterson location is the OG, but I prefer going to this one in Clifton. They have a parking lot shared with other businesses, so you won't lose your mind with street parking. They also have plenty of tables and booth seating inside. I ordered the Salted Caramel Pretzel crepe ($10.49) and it was delishhhh. The prices do seem high for a dessert, but the portion sizes are fairly large. You could easily split it between two people. I'm a big back at heart, so I can finish it all by myself ;) Service is friendly and efficient. They make everything fresh on the spot, so depending on how busy it is, you may have a bit of a wait. This is one of the best dessert spots in NJ! read more

My girlfriend really wanted to try Dubai Chocolate and it seemed like Chocolate House was the most convenient place to do it. It seemed pretty busy for a Tuesday night which was a good sign. Despite the business we were served pretty quickly. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer when your order is ready. We ordered 2 different bars of Dubai Chocolate, a Dubai chocolate crepe, and a Watermelon Mint drink. On first bite, everything tasted pretty good but then it just became a little too sweet for me. Everything tasted pretty good, but the prices seemed a little steep. I believe everything came out to $40+. The place is clean and service is fine. They have a pretty extensive menu so there's probably something there for anyone to satisfy their cravings for sweets. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some of their other things. Maybe Dubai Chocolate just isn't for me. read more

Chocolate House 1342 Clifton Ave. Clifton NJ 07012 Dubai Strawberry Cup Dubai Shake Dubai Crepe Dubai Churros Appearance: Taste: Located in the Richfield Shopping Center is a specialty dessert shop. Chocolate House had me at Dubai the same way Jerry Maguire had Dorothy Boyd at "Hello." Dubai Strawberry Cup: The cup of chocolate covered strawberries comes with a syringe. The chocolate slightly hardens as it stands It was fun using the one time only syringe for a splash of more chocolate. For once, I actually did not fear the sight of a needle. Dubai Shake: The frozen milkshake was surrounded with a thin chocolate shell. It is time to get cracking; crack the coating so you get tiny chocolate pieces mixed in with the rich, frosty drink. As a bonus, there is a thicker shell on the bottom of this drink if you want that extra bite of Dubai chocolate. Dubai Crepe: The crepe is packed with Kunafa and topped with pistachio pieces. The delicate thin pastry had a light texture with slightly crispy edges. Dubai Churros: Lined up like bowling pins, the churros were hot, chocolatey, and gooey on the outside while spongy on the inside., I cleared them the same way a speeding bowling ball clears the pins off the pin deck! It is now time to say goodbye to Dubai as I had a "dubaightful" day during this stay. #chocolatehouse #dubaishake #dubai #dubaicrepe #dubaichurros #eats #foodreview #njfoodie #foodstagram #dessertshop read more

Stopped in to try the viral Dubai chocolate bars. Place is spacious with a ton of photo opportunities. Ordered the dark and milk chocolate bars. On the smaller side. Little pricy for the size. Almost paid $20 for two. They are absolutely delish - There's no denying that! Wish they were slightly bigger in size. Will come back to try the other items. The menu looked unreal with all the crapes and waffles. read more

I recently stopped by Chocolate House in Clifton to check out what all the hullabaloo was about, and I'm happy to report the chocolate was indeed yummy! However, I had a few blips in the overall experience... Maybe I'm unfamiliar with the Chocolate House vibe, but with the radio pop hits playing and chill staff cutting what seemed like pre-made store brownies felt a bit like fast food vibes? Or like a mall? The vibes felt kind of off from what I'd expected at a place that charges $8 for sorta small chocolate bars. The experience was overall kinda lackluster, though the space was clean and bright. I came to try the Dubai Chocolate and it was indeed quite good! The sugar content in the dark chocolate was better, but the overall blend of flavors in the milk chocolate won out. The crunchy texture, pistachio flavor, and yummy chocolate was a winning combo. But it felt expensive for how tiny the chocolate bars ended up being. Me personally, I'd probably buy the pistachio cream online and melt some chocolate and DIY it, but it's a fun experience to try once! read more

One word: yum I had chocolate house on my list of places to try (I passed by it in Paterson) and then they go ahead and open one 5 minutes from my home! We tried 2 different crepes, the lotus crepe and the pistachio lovers crepe. Both so delicious, but the pistachio one was next level. If you love pistachios, you need to try it. They have so many menu options, can't wait to eat my way through their menu. The place was clean, and the service was excellent! read more

The food is the same quality as the chocolate house in Paterson but the service was awful and honestly, discriminatory! This branch caters to white people. My family and I were served on paper plates instead of esthetic wooden plates and our desserts were not put together well. For example, we ordered the banana strawberry crepe and were given it on a paper plate with one strawberry and no powdered sugar! The people that were served before us and after us had well put together desserts on wooden plates and trays. I will not be returning here. read more

The chocolate was creamy and tasty. We all had the Dubai chocolate cups. The pistachio was not over powering and the topping gave it a crunch. It was very filling. We brought home the kinder churros. Visited this new business located in the Richfield Center strip mall. Have never been to a Chocolate House before so was unsure of all they offered. They have homemade waffles and crepes, smoothies, ice cream, and a couple dozen types of shakes. There are a few tables located inside if you want to eat there. They were very busy with just about every table full and plenty of customers taking out. We decided to go with a waffle with Nutella, banana, and strawberries. I also ordered a Nila wafer shake. The waffle was good and I thought the shake was very good. The flavor from the Nilla wafers was very noticeable and the shake was thick. Will definitely be back to try some other shake options. Establishment was clean and service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back. read more

Chocolate house has several locations in NJ and they are known for their shakes, and waffles. I have personally not tried either of those, but I have tried their viral Dubai chocolate bar that they make in-house. They make this chocolate bar in all three options: white, milk and dark chocolates. I love their dark and milk chocolate bars with the right amount of pistachio flavored crunch in between bites. They are always popular and crowded on weekend nights. read more

When I pulled up to chocolate House in the mini mall, I was shocked to see how packed this place was on a Saturday night. All tables were full and we had to wait for one to open up. I personally ordered the Dubai chocolate and a strawberry banana Nutella crepe. My husband and friend ordered the shakes. The Dubai chocolate was pretty good, but I wouldn't say worth the eight dollar price tag. The crêpes were average. Supposedly the peanut butter shake was really good. If you were craving something sweet, I would definitely give this place a shot. read more

Oh. My. God. What are you still doing at home? If you want a sugar coma and to question your life in a good way, Chocolate House is the place for you. It's located in a nice strip mall in Clifton and parking is super easy. Once we walked in, we were amazed by the beautiful decor. A huge chocolate fountain in the middle of the store and a gorgeous flower wall to take pictures. The staff is so friendly and probably has people like me just gawking at the menu all day. After about 10 minutes of trying to figure out what we wanted, my friend and I ordered. We both got two separate things and that's where we went wrong. It was fun to try different things but these portions are huge and it's definitely enough to share with another person. I decided on the Dubai shake, but I swapped out the vanilla ice cream for chocolate. It was ridiculously delicious, the cup is lined with chocolate so it's also a crackling shake. The pistachio isn't overwhelming and the quality of the ingredients is absolutely there. My friend decided on a crêpe. She made her own with Nutella strawberries and bananas. It was super fresh warm and decadent. it was also served on the cutest wooden board. This place is super insta-worthy. There's tons of seating, we came early but this store is open really late and I can see it getting packed at night when people are craving a sweet treat. I'll definitely be back to try their Kinder shakes but I need to give my body a reset before having that much sugar again lol. Totally worth it, ridiculously delicious. Go try it. read more

We came in and got the pistachio and regular affogatos, they were both good the pistachio cream in the one was really good. They also give a generous amount of espresso. It was the trendy Dubai chocolate that first drew me to try the Chocolate House, but I've become a regular customer because we've all developed a real love for their crepes. I've visited the location in Totowa, and it seems like the staff genuinely enjoy working there--they're incredibly kind and friendly. The dessert was delightful!
