    Taquitos

My brother first ordered us the nachos platter which was devoured back in February so we finally decided to order out. Anytime my daughter finishes her food I give the spot five stars. My daughter is hella picky. We ordered her the taquitos which she ate half then my husband and I ate the other half. They were crispy on the outside and the chicken was so moist, juicy and flavorful on the inside. I also ordered three tacos, pork, fish and fried avocado. I really enjoyed the fried avocado and the sauces that were in the taco. My husband ordered the Mexican wrap, which he only ate half since eating the taquitos. It was very reasonably priced. This will be our go to when we are craving Mexican.

We were in town for work and stopped by for lunch. What a quaint place with super friendly service! We had shrimp tostadas, chips and guac, and a Picadillo burrito bowl. Everything was delicious!

Yes! An authentic Mexican place! While not an extended restaurant, the business offers a few tables in a very simple setting to enjoy your freshly made meal. We kicked it off with guac and chips - delicious! Every dish was super tasty, and the clear winner was the chilaquiles. I cannot wait to return.

half inhaled churro lol don't mind the pic

literally changed my mood from to it don't mind the pictures bc I forgot to take them before i CHOWED DOWN HOLY MOLY freakin amazing!! juicy flavorful delicious burrito with a lot of salsa options chips ofc were good churros absolutely amazing! My mom & I got the churro cup that had one regular churro and one caramel filled churro. I loved both, my mom thought the caramel filled one was a little too gewwy. She also thought her taco was too plain but she's used to American Mexican Food lol so her opinion doesn't mean ****

Cute little authentic Mexican hidden gem ! Unplanned visit, literally drove by and stopped by the curb side appeal. The fried avocado tacos were legit , especially with the array of salsa verde and sauces they offer. Will definitely recommend

Excellent flavors, love their tomato salsa which has great heat and especially the salsa verde! Five stars for my wrap aka burrito, I got carnitas, a big soft tortilla loaded with meat rice beans plus a dab of guacamole, salsa and chips on the side, great value for $10.50, add $4 if you want steak or shrimp. My dining companion tried the chicken taquitos, super tender white meat wrapped in a tortilla and fried to perfection, good but very simple, the side of cilantro dip made them better, 6 for $12.50. An 8 ounce bag of chips is $4.50, salsa is $6.50 extra on top of that, grumble. A churro for dessert ($2) was still raw in the middle unfortunately. It's easy to spend $20 per person here. Staff was pretty good (not great) about wearing masks. No inside dining at all, three tables out front so you might eat right there, but parking is near impossible find a spot on the street. Vegetarian rating: 4 stars, everything is available with roasted corn and peppers instead of animal protein so veg peeps can try almost all the variations here. Apparently so popular they sometimes run out of food, at least they did on a Saturday when we tried to stop by, hope that doesn't happen to you.

Although I've never been to the food truck I was able to try the newly opened brick and mortar store front in Chatham. Called for pick up and Glen (or Gen) on the phone was super polite and nice when taking my order. Informed me 15 minutes for pick up. Arrived and my food was just coming out, right on time! Beautiful inside area, authentic feeling but not over the top. Got the taco trio, you can mix and match or get all the same, opted for the chicken taco trio. Food was delicious, perfect balance of flavors and right amount of spice. Ordered the chips and salsa and the portion size was on point! No small cup of guac. Excited to try other menu items. Great addition to downtown Chatham. I will be back. 4.5/5

Serves all the usuals like burritos enchiladas tacos plus many seafood plates; four-item combo dinners are $17.50. Visited on a quiet weekday evening. Chips seem house-made and needed a little salt, the salsa was mild. Checked in on yelp to get free nachos which are just chips cheese and jalapeños, very simple. I'm a huge fan of the chili chocolate sauce called mole, few places make it, happy to try theirs over pork enchiladas with rice and beans, extremely fairly priced at $15 for all that food, yummy. My dining companions got shrimp in onion pepper red sauce, and beef enchiladas, my dining companions were very happy. Vegetarian rating: four stars, in addition to the usual apps like guac they have three first-class vegetarian entrées: cactus enchiladas, veg burrito and an all-veg Mex combo plate. The inside is dark and cut up into three tiny dining areas, I'm guessing that helps keep the noise down a little bit. Admittedly the bar is low for Mexican food in northern New Jersey & peeps visiting from the left coast might well be disappointed by Jose's cantina, but I was very glad to find it.

I think they are busier on Friday and Saturday nights. It is BYOB. They give you chips and salsa to start, which is super tasty. Very fresh. Definitely will find yourself finishing the bowl. For appetizer we had garlic shrimp (I don't think it's actually on the menu, but they do it). Whatever spice they use on this shrimp...I could lick the plate and have another order of them. The best garlic shrimp I ever had. For dinner I had the carnitas. They give you so much and it comes sizzling. Comes with a small portion of guac, sour cream, rice, and beans. So much flavor. I love the little crispy bits. My only qualm is that they give you soft flour tortillas, but only 3. 4 or 5 would be ideal. It is just so much meat - 3 small tortillas is not enough. It makes for great left overs and you can use tortillas at home. Great cooking here. Truly underrated.
